December 3rd, 2021.

England of Great Britain, The Land Without Mythology.

A cafe in London received an unexpected customer. A girl wearing a silvery blue trench coat and dark blue gloves, a pair of silver and gold glasses over her sharp azure eyes. Her hair is cut short just below her neck, except for the tail of her back hair and the sides of her face, a kind of hime cut.

And the thing that caught the people's attention was the silver coffin she carried.

"Hunter.", her serene voice captured the people's hearts, making them want to follow her... but at the same time, their minds tell them that she is dangerous.

"This is the place that two Hunters made a reservation, right?", she asked, sliding her license onto the table.

"Y-Yes!", the receptionist snapped out of her daze, "Please come upstairs, they are waiting for another Hunter by the calling card of The Voyager of Destiny..."

"Thanks.", she nodded, took back her card, and headed upstairs.

There on the second floor, she sees a duo of men wearing bird masks. They look like plague doctors with their outfits.

She found the right people.

"I presume you are the Crow Watchers.", she said, taking off her glasses.

They both flinched under her gaze, which made her laugh and put back her glasses on.

She sat down in the opposite chair and introduced herself, "I am the Voyager of Destiny, the Captain of Prydwen, you can call me Sinclaire."

"I am Marcus.", the bigger man introduced himself, "And this is Lucas."

"Nice to meet ya, Sinclaire!", the shorter man waved, "I heard what ya did two months ago in France! Killing the Wolf of Gérvaudan by ripping its heart out! Nobody had done that before!!"

"It is simply putting a mutt down, nothing too difficult for me.", she smiled with her eyes closed, "Now, while I would like to chat some more with you two... let's get down to business."

"Here is the contract for this mission.", Marcus slide a firm onto the table.

Sinclaire picked it up, smiling as she read. This contract is directly from the royal family, detailing a trace of a rogue Spriggan going around Wales. They want her to investigate the sightings, but she knows there is more to it.

"Alright, I'll take the job.", she announced.

Britain as a whole is strange. After meeting the strange plague doctors I went straight to my sportbike.

I swiped my hand, letting Ouroboros Omniscia be consumed by white lightning and sent back to Prydwen. Hopping onto my sportbike and went off to Wales...

This past year has been incredibly boring if I say so myself. Just normal things for me, finding out about unspeakable secrets, killing Eldritch Gods, facing off against Heralds, ramming another whale with my ship, the actual Flying Dutchman. Overall, very boring stuff.

Nothing too difficult for now... But I sensed something is coming. Avalon appeared on my shoulder, grinning.

"What have you found?", I asked the cat.

"They are waiting for you.", the cat purred.

"Who is waiting for me?", I asked, totally not feeling the ominous red flags.

"The Golemancer, The Fire of Life... Kalpas."

The Records of Nature, huh... I think this adventure will be quite fun. If not amazingly beautiful...

I will get to meet the final Records. Ah~ my old habits are getting to me again, I want to fight Kalpas...

"Avalon, send them my regards. I'll be heading there soon enough.", and I turned on the engine sound, speeding up even more.

So I am in jail. Again, this is the sixteenth time this year. My Hunter License can only get me so far, we are basically a lawless bunch, mercenary to a degree.

And the police don't accept "becoming one with the speed force" as an excuse, nor is "Gotta go fast" diagnosed as a mental illness.

Well, at least they took me to Wales...

"Listen.", I commanded with Euphoria, "Let me out and delete my criminal record."

The officer watching over me froze for a moment, and he opened the door for me. I waltz out of prison like nothing happened, and perform the same trick with the other people in this place, making them forget me.

The antimemetic effect of my glasses, which were reinforced with my nanotech mask, makes people perceive me as different. I am confident to say that nobody can know where I am.

If they do, I have Utopia to delete those images.

I took out a cigarette from my pack... and I began to smoke while looking at the cloudy sky over Wales. Over this road I can see several ruins of castles, tourists exploring them, and people going about their daily lives.

But most of all, from my instinct alone... the Fae, Gardeners of the World. There are a lot of them watching me.

But they never approach me, as my presence alone rejects them. To them I am pesticide, my steps laid forth the line between mystery and My Truth. But in the end, nothing good would come from making enemies of each other.

I need to go to Brecon Beacons anyway, and it isn't far from here... hah, I can sense something familiar but also a foreign feeling...

If this Spriggan is Kalpas luring me in... I will gladly take the bait. Avalon described them as the Golemancer, so obviously they would use that Spriggan as an intermediary...

Spriggans are classified as a type of Fairy, although they are more like Elementals, saying that they are Elemental with sentience isn't too far from the truth.

One thing about them is that they can absorb nature, adding up their size and becoming giants of wood or stone. They aren't called Ghost of Giant for nothing.

"Woah...", I let out a gasp as I looked over the beautiful view from the peak of Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan, seeing the land full of hills and greenery... but also desolate of human touch...

There is a serene feeling here that I cannot describe, clouds casting shadows upon the land give this place, Wales, a sense of sacredness...

I want to stay here for a while... I did spend two hours climbing up this place after all.

Oh, I spotted the Spriggan going about, small like a Dwarf, but with a head as big as its body. I took out my phone and snapped a photo of it.

"Utopia, send this photo to the Crows. I'll be enjoying the view for a bit."

"[As you command, Your Highness.]"

I closed my eyes for a moment and sighed.

"What do you want?", I asked the person... no, the thing hiding behind me.

"Hello, Charlotte.", it spoke in a soft tone, followed by the smell of the forest, pure, sappy, and amazing.

I turned around, seeing what stood before me as a woman with long dark red hair, flowing with the wind. Wearing a pure white robe over their olive body. Those green eyes are pure and clear, hiding nothing but a pure soul in them.

"You are... the Records of Nature.", I stated. I feel oddly calm...

"Indeed I am.", she lifted her arms up to take in the air, "I am the breath of the trees, the trace of the earth, the roar of the sea... I am the firstborn of Tiamat Abzu - The Black Dragon of Conflict. My current name is Kalpas, the Fire of Life."

"Avalon said you wanted to meet me... why?", I asked, my gloved hands began to crackle electricity.

"There is something I want to warn you about, Charlotte.", she smiled, full of genuine honesty, "The Records of Cosmos had unleashed something terrible upon the world."

Great... another world-ending threat.

"What would that be?", I sighed, stopping my preparations.

"I do not know.", she shook her head, "Where there are soil and stone, where trees are present, I can see all. But this being blinds me, I cannot perceive it. As if it is something that is not supposed to exist, or..."

"Something with higher authority than the Firstborn of the World...", I finished, not liking the taste at all.

"Yes.", she nodded, "Both are equally as bad as the other."

And that something is related to the Records of Cosmos... this isn't good.

"You wanted me to find them, right? Why and how?", I learned to think better.

"Your Fate Value is heavy.", she pointed at me.

Fate Value... I squint my eyes, thinking back... right, Welt Ealam said something similar about Sinclair, my future self, saying that her Fate Value was too high and it broke the system...

"Your current Fate Value is the combined number of all humans, past and future, and with two Eldritch Gods by your side... it is safe to say that fate and destiny orbit around you. Charlotte Silvi Sillarco, you are the most likely to encounter them."

Then she turned her back to me, "This is all I want to say."

But there is more...

"However, as this is the first time we met... I shall show you what I am capable of with just this body."

!!!

Instantly, the ground was covered in a pattern of intertwined lines, forming a... flower. My eyes widened, as I realized what this is...

"The Flower of Life.", I muttered

"In this space, my influence is the strongest. Everything comes from nature, and it shall return to nature... that is the Circle of Life.

Instantly, an arm made of stone grabbed hold of me. I broke through with my lightning and fire. Only to be tie up by chains.

These chains... I can't break them.

"This is just a welcome.", Kalpas turned around, facing me with an endearing smile, "Goodbye, Silver Princess of Humanity."

And she melted into the ground...

With the Flower of Life gone, the chains turned into dust releasing me from the bindings...

Okay, note to self, burn everything down with Malice when it comes to nature.

"[Your Highness, are you alright?]", Utopia asked me through my phone.

"Yeah, just be ready to orbital strike South India. That place is desolate anyway.", I commanded.

"[As you command, Your Highness.]", he replied.

"And had the Crows said anything about how should I deal with the Spriggan?", I snapped my finger, summoning Ouroboros Omniscia.

"[They said to herd it back to Scotland.]"

"And what if it shows me hostility and doesn't comply?", I smiled, readying the missile launchers.

"[You are authorized to kill it.]", those are the words I need.

I turn my hostility on full blast, and the Fae around me shuddered and flew far away... but as for the Spriggan, it see my hostility as what it really is. A challenge.

It grew ten times bigger as it ran towards me with its body of stone and wood.

"By the Rite of Steel and Gunpowder...", I summoned Ouroboros Omniscia, planting it beside me, and my eyes glowed a pure azure color, "I shall Hunt you down, as it is your Destiny."

Here is my Patreon!

And if you are wondering if I would post early chapters of Infinity in the Void on my Patreon, the answer is no. Because I don't want to Patreon lock this story, I want you all to read and react at the same time since this is a passion project. Patreon is just a way for people who want to support me with donations.

Patreon will mainly focus on other series I might post. Currently, along with Broken Glory, I plan on uploading Novala - False Paradise, set in the same universe, inspired by Hermitcraft with the MC being an Eldritch God.
