Day 65,

Morning thought: I wonder if the nature sprite will follow me to the floating island.  It never seems to do anything or show itself when there are other people around, or even when I’m just in the Village proper, but will it try something if I wander off on my own for a few minutes?

Just got back from visiting Huan (should I call him Doctor Huan?  But that’s his first name.  But I’m not sure anyone here has last names.  That feels weird now that I think about it.) to get my stitches removed.  I’m honestly a bit shocked how fast it healed, but he said that’s normal.  Not sure if I just have a poor grasp of medicine and how long things take to heal (quite possible) or if people just heal fast here.

I did wind up with a small scar on my palm, but you kind of have to look for it to notice and Huan said there’s a chance even that will go away eventually.

People started dropping food off at the library today.  Donations for the upcoming expedition.  Not sure how much of it is from the favors Vernon mentioned calling in and how much is from word getting around and people wanting to participate and pitch in.  Either way, it’s much appreciated but I’m also going to need to take time to organize and re-pack it all in a way that will be more compact and easier to carry.  Also, I’m a little concerned that people are going to be expecting to be regaled with some grand story of adventure when we get back when really it’s probably going to be just us hanging out and camping in a rundown house for a couple of weeks.
