Many possibilities exist once a person puts in an effort to learn, but when assisted by a system, the world was opening up for Alyssia in ways she never thought possible in her previous life. Now she had a small family, a friend and also many people to look out for, within Zou and she could learn many things with the assistance of the system.
Using berries and herbs, she began to make several different colour pigments and paints and began to ask her parents for some additional blank sketchbooks so that she could continue to master her Drawing skill.
Within the street, she sat with her sketchbook and a mink was in front. Next to Alyssia, was a small sign saying free portrait sketch or painting. In order to improve her drawing skills further, she decided to occasionally bring her sketchbook out and draw or paint people's portraits and gift them the finished product for free.
Although this would not help to increase her experience or fame points, and by doing so, it did help her build up her drawing skills mastery slowly.
After completing the portrait, she passed it to the mink opposite her. Although the portrait looked simple and lacking in skills, it still displayed the mink's main features and looked a little cartoonish so the mink left with it satisfied.
Her Drawing skill was improving with every drawing or painting that she did and when she was improving it, she was also able to slowly improve her navigation skill. While doing her daily activities of challenging some people to a duel, she began to gather information from her surroundings and also asked her parents to teach her the basics of Electro.
Although she could get a better teacher, she decided that it was better to learn from her parents first. Most minks can use electro and some have greater mastery than the others and know how to use it to develop their own form of fighting style but her parents did not seem that tough.
Luckily, she was still young and what she could learn from them was just the basics that she still did not know. As for anything else that she wished to learn she could learn it later when she has found a suitable teacher herself.
Within her home, she returned to her room which was full of various sketches, books and drawing tools. She put away her things and came to the backyard where her mother and father were waiting for her.
Her mother spoke first. "You have finally come home after a commotion within the street as usual. We have been waiting to begin the lesson on how to summon your electro and how to control it."
Her father then nodded as he stood beside her with his arms crossed over his chest. "Let's hurry with the lesson. Your mother has been waiting for you."
Alyssia looked a little guilty and lowered her head. "Sorry, mom. I was just finishing one of my portraits before I returned."
Her mother sighed and then replied calmly. "Next time you make an appointment, make sure to be on time for it. You need to learn to keep your word! Garchu!"
As if a flip had been switched, her mother turned from stern to loving all of a sudden and began to hug Alyssia and rub her cheeks against Alyssia's cheek. Alyssia nodded obediently and stood there taking the sudden display of love from her mother and replied with the same action "Garchu!". Meanwhile, her father stood back looking a little envious so he jumped in and hugged his two favorite ladies of his family, "Garchu!"
A little while later, the family separated and her mother began to speak once again.
"Users of Electro can channel electricity through parts of their bodies in order to shock anything they touch. This power can also be channelled through weapons. This technique grants extra damage to attacks, gives the opponents electric burns and paralyzes them.
All minks can use Electro, including infants and the elderly, and it is pretty common knowledge among us minks. The inability to produce Electro is a sign of not being a mink. So far we have delayed teaching you how to channel and use it, but since you have begun to show more signs of wishing to improve your fighting skills we felt that it was time."
Her father added "By transforming into Sulong, minks can also emit electricity from their body constantly and can perform stronger attacks. In order to initiate the transformation, a mink must have a clear, unobstructed view of the moon, but we cannot transform into Sulong form if the moon is covered by clouds, a roof, or even a hat, which is why many minks are seen wearing hats most of the time.
Sulong is said to be the "True Form" of the minks, a race whose members are born with the natural fighting ability, the Sulong transformation exponentially enhances the existing skills of a mink. In some cases, their agility and jumping ability would be enhanced while in others their strength and charging ability would be enhanced."
Her mother added "However, this form has a weakness when used at a cost for gaining the true form of the minks and taking on a wild appearance. And because Sulong can only be activated when a full moon appears, being roughly every 30 days, the usage of it is extremely limited."
Her mother continued "This transformation is very dangerous for minks, as unless they are sufficiently trained, they will lose their minds completely and attack anyone near them, even friends and allies. In addition to its dangerous effects mentally, the Sulong state is generally known to cause a short lifespan due to being extremely taxing on the mink's physical body, as the mink will expend all their energy and die after just a single night of usage. It would be best not to use it, but if you do, it must be when you have control over it and your life is in danger."
Alyssia nodded and then thought 'So basically if I want to live a long life, I should not recklessly use my Sulong form. If I cannot learn to control the form, then I may attack both allies and enemies during my loss of control.'
Electricity began to form on her mother's and father's bodies and then travel towards their hands as they showed it to Alyssia. "This is how we channel and use electro. We can use it to attack or even increase our speed."
Alyssia remembered this scene from watching the anime and reading the manga. Whenever the minks channelled their Electro, they would send it to their hands and send out a punch or send it to another part of their body like their legs or feet to increase the speed of their steps or send out a kick.
They began to display the steps in how to channel the Electro, along with the feeling that came with it and also used their electro to gently trigger her own electro to activate. After feeling the Electro activate within her body by the stimulation, she began to slowly remember the feeling that she had so that she could use it again.
Her mother smiled as she watched her daughter grasp it. "The next step is to channel your Electro and send it to a point to gather at. Most send it to their hands as we have shown you, but it doesn't have to be the hands if you decide otherwise, but it would be best to begin with one point for now and then you can increase the number of points where you can gather your Electro at."
The day passed by very quickly as she was practicing her control over Electro with her parents until she became tired and hungry.
A month had passed by, and within her family's backyard, Alyssia sat on the ground while channelling her electro through her body. Slowly she grasped the feeling and gathered Electro to one point on her body. She chose her main foot as the place to gather her electro first which was her right one, so that she could push herself forward with it and also attack with it.
She stood up and held the Electro in place and pushed her foot down on the ground and then took a step forward. Just as she took the step, electricity exploded underneath her feet which propelled her forward.
As she cleared a small distance she landed once again, but immediately lost her balance and fell to the ground. After several attempts, she had begun to grow familiar with taking one step forward and slowly began to improve how she made use of it.
After remembering many techniques from different mangas, she found that there was one technique that helped to move at a fast speed and clear long distances very quickly. She thought about One Piece's World Government techniques like the Moonwalk or Shave and how to make an alternative version to suit her use of Electro, so she decided upon Bleach's flash steps and hohō skills.
Flash step, the most important skill for any Shinigami to know, but it is still unclear as to how a Shinigami is able to use Hohō, but it's likely to do with the Shinigami's ability to walk on air using Spiritual Energy.
By collecting and solidifying Reishi beneath their feet, A Shinigami is able to successfully walk on this air and thus able to freely move about and stop themselves from falling. Meanwhile, Flash Step is a technique that allows a Shinigami to move faster than the eye can follow.
The one thing that a Shinigami must learn and is the focal point of the technique is Speed. Considering this technique is focused on Speed, the ability to use Shunpo relies solely on a character's ability to travel fast from point A to point B in the least number of steps.
Both training and skill, therefore, determine how fast a Shinigami can travel. Those who have little skill using this technique and haven't used it for extensive periods are understandably slower than more advanced users, as it takes them more steps to get to a different location, and usually become winded after a shorter amount of time.
Of course, there are also other versions that are more advanced. Senka, a special type of Shunpo that causes the user to appear behind the foe's back. This allows them to directly attack from behind with a swift strike.
Depending on the level of the user, the attack can be executed with such speed that the opponent may not even be able to tell which direction they are being attacked from, and those observing may find it impossible to see the attack even being used.
Finally, a more advanced movement is the cicada movement which is so fast that it leaves an 'imprint' or 'afterimage' behind. The mastery of using Hohō can be enhanced and improved through concentration and training.
After remembering how the techniques are used, she began to use her electro in a similar way to how the bleach characters used their Reishi. She let the Electro build-up under her foot and as she lifted her heel, her forefoot pressed down on the ground with all of her weight and pushed herself forward as the Electro exploded underneath her forefoot.
Just as the flash of lightning exploded under her foot, she disappeared from her current position and reappeared a short distance in front of where she stood.
Alyssia stepped upon her left foot as she landed, was able to keep her body stable and then stepped with her right foot once more as her Electro was being channelled towards the bottom of her right foot once more and again, she disappeared from her current position and reappeared landing on her left leg.
Her first step was a little unstable and she almost fell to the ground, but she kept practicing so that she could gain more familiarity with her Electro and make it into her own technique. She was able to cover a small distance quickly, but her technique and control over it was still sloppy.
It took some time to charge up and control the Electro to combine it into her Flash Step movements so there was still a delay between each Flash Step she used.
While practicing like this is helpful to gain familiarity and increase her speed and evasion abilities, she still required the knowledge of techniques of the One Piece world like the World Government's skills that she needed in her skillset.
Each of the Rokushiki seems to focus on certain aspects of physical perfection in martial arts, Soru or Shave for speed, Rankyaku or Tempest Kick for kicking strength, Shigan for arm strength, Geppo or Moonwalk for jumping agility, Kami-e for flexibility and Tekkai for endurance and durability.
Although she didn't care for the arm strength, flexibility or durability abilities, she did want to learn the techniques, but she first had to come in contact with a Marine or World Government member who had been trained in it.
For now, she could only learn the basics and slowly increase her mastery of what she knew until she met someone who she could learn from with the help of the system. Once she had learned those abilities, she could combine them with her Electro to make an improved version of them.
If she used Soru or Shave which increases her speed with, just pure physical leg strength and then Electro added would only serve to make her difficult to catch or hit.
Rankyaku or tempest kick would give her more range with the wind blades that are sent out with a kick so it would be an additional ability to add to her Electro and if possible she may be able to learn how to fire off her electro too, along with the wind blade.
As for Geppo or Moonwalk which helped her jumping ability and provided the ability to step on air, the combination of it with electro would also improve the original ability so that she could move at a faster speed while in the air.
Each ability would prove to be very useful if it was used right and would help in close as well as long-range type combat. For now though, she had to use what was available to her and experiment until she gets it right and then slowly develop some special techniques or abilities.
