"Ugh where am I?" I asked while slowly opening my eyes. What I saw was something that came straight out of a fantasy movie.
I was laying down on the grassy land as a lake surrounded me, blue light pulses every now and then from within it as lily pads were used as a resting spot for the little bugs. The sky seemed to be full of stars tonight, each one glittering slightly brighter than the last.
The soothing sounds of running water calmed my nerves as I hear the occasional choir happening in the background, I may or may not have woke up in heaven due to how beautiful everything is here. The sounds, the environment, everything was so angelic that I feared I might tarnish it.
A low sound of a majestic melody seemed to spread all over the place.
I couldn't help but let out a small smile and my mind and body relaxed. "I must be dead already..." I muttered while gently tracing my fingers over the running bright blue water that seemed to captivate anyone that laid their eyes on. Dipping it bit by bit.
"What.. now?" In the back of his mind, he didn't want this to be the end. But... If this was his final resting place he wouldn't mind.
Sleep~
A soft voice spoke out of nowhere, and I listened to it... It was like my mother's embrace all over again. It's like she was back with me again... Gently embracing me with all her love, singing me a lullaby in her most softest voice. I couldn't help but miss her and my dad and then I broke. Tears threatened to fall down my cheeks as I embraced who I knew was my mom.
"I missed... You" my breath hitched a few times while talking, my eyes puffy from tears as I just let out everything towards her. And I can feel her loving gaze towards me. Oh how I missed this feeling. Even though I lived for years without them, not even a day go by where I didn't visit their grave. Sometimes, a man need to let it out.

Moments passed by as I only hugged her, I felt like a piece I felt missing throughout my life was brought back. Soon, I felt myself losing consciousness as my grip on her loosened. No not now, not again! I can't lose her again! But my eyes won't stay open!
"M-mom... I love you, please don't" I felt a lump in my throat as I grabbed onto her tightly while weeping. I continued "Leave... Me"
I wasn't able to say anything anymore as the lump grew larger and held me back from saying anything else. My eyes closed and my mind went blank, before it fully did turn blank I heard one last thing from her.
Don't worry Alex... I'll be here waiting for you~
I felt her loving smile even though I can't see it. And then I lost consciousness.

Inside a hospital room, a man with blonde hair, blue crystal like eyes and looked to be in his 18s. He could even be said to be a model.
He opened his eyes lowly and looked around the room. Tears suddenly came out from his eyes as his expression turned sad. A word left his mouth.
"Mom..."
He picked himself up as he sat on the bed, he was only wearing a hospital gown so his muscles were easily seen. He was in great shape overall, not too buff and not too skinny.
The occasional sound of the heartbeat monitor filled the room as the man scanned his surroundings, the window was open so he could see the stars that was shining down onto him. This reminded him of the place he visited for a bit, might've been the afterlife.
He then walked towards the window and closed it.
Alex walked back to the bed and sat on it for some time. 'This feels so surreal, I know I've already died so why am I still alive?' Alex thought as he ran through the things he has encountered so far. So far he died in his own bathroom. Next he woke up in a fantasy like place where my mom was with him. And now he woke up in a hospital room.
Did he survive? Doubt it, since the body he has right now looked to be much more different than before. He even double checked his hair just now, and it was blonde, do note that his hair before wasn't blonde. He should be freaking out right now, but he didn't, not because he wasn't able to but because the fact remains that he transmigrated to a new world.
His thoughts were interrupted as his stomach rumbled. 'Crap, when was the last time this body ate? Or should I just call it my body now?' Alex was in a crisis right now as he searched the whole room for food. He didn't find anything. 'Last option is to call for the nurse... But should I? I mean what if they'll notice how I acted different than normal?' He brainstormed for ideas and of course as a novel enjoyer, he found a solution for that.
'I'll just say I don't remember anything, what a great plan even though it might fail'
He then walked towards the button that would usually call the nurse. And so he got some time to spare while waiting for the nurse. 'What am I gonna do now?' He looked around and saw a wallet and a phone beside the desk. He opened the wallet and saw an I.D, specifically his I.D.
"So my name is Alexander Arthur? Same as before huh" He paused before continuing. "I look... Handsome not gonna lie, maybe more than the idols of my world" Alex muttered as he rubbed his chin in delight. He then opened his phone and checked it.
'Of course it's locked' He couldn't help but sigh in regret, at least the wallpaper was kind of cool. A lone tree in the middle of a cliff. 'Meh, he could've chosen a better one'
While he was rummaging the belongings, the door to the room opened in a rush. Startled, he snapped his head towards the door. There stood a panting nurse, her expression looked shocked and happy at the same time. Our eyes locked on momentarily.
