Shin took his time walking out of his home. He knew that this might be the last time he would be in this place.

"Young Master Shin." said one of the maids whom Shin knew very well.

"Natalie." said Shin as he smiled at her.

"I really enjoyed the meals you've served me all these years, thanks for taking care of me." said Shin at the maid who had almost religiously brought him meals as soon as the sun rose.

"Young Master Shin I..." Natalie began to say before Shin stopped her.

"Natalie I appreciate your service to me for the last 7 years, and from the bottom of my heart I wish you the best." Shin looked at her and smiled. And before she had a chance to say anything else, he continued walking out of the building.

A while later Shin finally reached the training grounds. When he got there he found he person that he had been looking for.

He headed towards the center of the training grounds. He took off his rings and put them away. Then he proceeded to take one of the swords next to the sparring ring.

"I won't lie to you. I don't think you're prepared to go out yet." said Katsou as he formed as small cut on his hand.

"I understand. but if you doubt my skills then you are also doubting your own." said Shin. As he spoke, a large amount of blood began to float out of the cut that Katsou had made on his hand. The floating blood began to compact itself until finally it became a solid and glistering crimson spear with different shades of red.

As soon as Katsou's spear had materialized Shin began to charge at him. Katsou quickly moved his spear in order to defend against the strike. Sparks emerged from the contact of the two weapons in between the two men who smiled in order to hide their emotions in this spar.

"I might have taught you, but I won't let you to leave!" shouted Katsou as he put even more strength behind his spear.

"There really isn't anything you can do to stop me." replied Shin as he maneuvered his sword to move the spear away from him.

" I can defeat you." said Katsou while he moved his spear in a piercing motion towards Shin.

"If you're so confident in me losing then how about a wager." as he said this, Shin tried to dodge the piercing strike from Katsou. But the side of his arm became cut from Katsou's attack.

Shin grunted from the cut he received.

As a member of the Blood-wielder race from the Vampire family, Katsou had completely mastered control over his blood.

One of the specialties of Blood-wielders was their ability to inflict severe damage on their enemies no matter how minor the injury they inflicted. Since their weapons were created from vampiric blood when their weapons came into contact with blood, not belonging to their owner, the weapon would break a piece of itself. The piece would then focus itself on devouring the blood it encountered. the weapon would then move blood from other parts of itself to make up for the lost piece.

"If I win," said Shin as he created Infernal Fire to burn away the blood attacking him. "You will give me your blessing to leave, and you alone will chose someone to lead my army." He then set fire to the sword in his hands.

"If you lose then you will have to stay here for until I believe you are ready to leave." said Katsou as he backed his spear away from the burning sword.

Shin ran forwards with his sword and began to attack Katsou's weapon. Katsou carefully pulled his spear away and then proceeded to attack Shin's hand.

Shin predicted this and lowered his sword enough so that it would be hit with the full force of Katsou's spear.

Shin strained his hands and tried to take on Katsou's attack. Yet the sword was unable to endure the full strength of a Vampire weapon, and finally, it shattered.

Shin released his grip from the sword and dodged to the left.

Katsou moved his spear and aimed it at Shin's neck and prepared to inform him of his loss. Shin had predicted this, when his sword had shattered, a piece of it had been embedded in the spear. Shin had made his flames smaller, but he made sure that they were never extinguished.

When Shin saw Katsou aiming his spear at his neck, he decided that it was time for him to reveal his hand.

Suddenly, the spear in Katsou's hand exploded into flames. Shin kept evaporating Katsou's spear.

"This can't stop me." said Katsou as he made a grabbing motion at the air. Almost as if he had just created them from thin air, blood drops appeared and began to join his spear.

After mastering his blood-wielder abilities, Katsou had complete control over his blood, it didn't matter if his blood was divided into microscopic sizes, he could still retrieve them.

Shin knew that his current level of fire couldn't permanently stop Katsou. Yet it had been enough to distract him, and as he kept recalling his blood; Shin put his palm at Katsou's side and unleashed the hottest flame he could muster.

Katsou had noticed Shin actions, yet he wasn't able to react fast enough, by the time he remade his spear and began to direct it at Shin, Shin had already burnt a hole through his side.

Katsou staggered and fell onto his knees. He liquefied his blood and entered it into his body through the same cut it had emerged from.

It wasn't the injury that had brought Katsou to his knees. For his species, a minor injury such as this, could be healed in a few minutes by ingesting human blood.

No words were spoken between them as Katsou grabbed the pouch at his side and began to drink.

Katsou stood up, "I can't stop you from leaving, but I can make sure you will be safe." as Katsou finished Shin saw movement around the entrance of the training grounds. The person that emerged was a beautiful girl with crimson hair that glistened in the sunlight. But what caught Shin attention was the the confident feeling that emerged from her eyes which to him seemed to more precious than all the rubies in existence. Shin already had an idea of who this was, and when he saw a pair of sparkling fangs slightly hidden by rose colored lips; he knew exactly who this was.

"Shin, this is Asami, my daughter." said Katsou with a smile on his face. He turned to Shin and couldn't help but laugh a little when he saw the amazed expression that had emerged on his face.

*cough* Shin blinked a couple times and tried to regain his posture.

"Uh, Sir?" Shin began to speak. And now Katsou couldn't help but start laughing vigorously. Shin had stopped calling Katsou ''sir" after meeting him a few times in this world.

"Ahhh," said Katsou as he finally regained his breath from all his laughing and began to wipe his eyes.

Asami who had never seen her father laughing to the point of almost crying felt as confused as Shin felt embarrassed.

"Ok, Asami it's a pleasure to meet you. But may I ask what you are doing here?" asked Shin who had just regained his previous elegant posture.

"Well, don't let her looks fool you. Lately I have been losing more and more to Asami in our spars." replied Katsou with a proud expression on his face.

To Shin this was an unbelievable fact. Blood-Wielder Vampires all had very similar powers and strength, this usually made all of them almost equal in fighting abilities. Yet, out of all the Blood-Wielder Vampires Shin had meet in his years at this home, Katsou had remained undefeated, this had allowed him to keep the top general position all these years. So learning that Asami had defeated her father several times showed just how powerful she was. In fact from the first ever spar Shin had with Katsou, Katsou had never gone easy on Shin. Shin had almost always emerged from his spars with many injuries on his body. And finally today after years of grueling training, Shin had for the first time defeated Katsou. Half of the reason for his victory had even been based on luck and how Katsou reacted.

"Asami is one of the best fighters I have ever trained and she is an exceptional tactician, I have decided for her to become the leader of your army. But in the end she is still my daughter, so I expect you to protect her, just as well as she will protect you." said Katsou with a very serious expression on his face.
