There were trees where they shot through. Tall trees, dark green and thin like a minimalist painting, arching towards the sky. She hadn't seen trees in months.

They landed in a heap of dirt. One door unlocked and started to rise slowly. From somewhere an alarm went up. The other door unlocked and rose to follow its partner on the other side.

Angharad leaned forward to look out. She could smell the dirt and the wet smell of recent rain. She could hear the distant sound of birds. But more important than that, she could see armed soldiers with guns pointed at them.
