[A little bit earlier, before Zin's rampage]

Having performed multiple memory dive into number of old followers, as well as info from Linda and the other minion of the God of Death, I can finally pinpoint the location of where they will awaken the fallen god. It's no easy task as I have to construct a map on the spot and exclude all the possible locations, but soon afterward, something strike me as rather odd. 

Based on the information I got from the old follower through invading and reading their memories, Saintess Angela smartly station them far apart from each other, and yet close enough to provide cover to others, that as well as a certain path aren't covered by them. Plus, the minion of God of Death also didn't give me any sort of information regarding this path, which mean

(As expected. A barrier of ignorance, and a strong one for that) [Ash]

Those that have no clue about what lies ahead will be repel, no, the barrier will force them to ignore that this pathway, and thus, most will only ignore this path, whether it is an ally or a foe. If I didn't have any information, I'll most likely ignore it as well, going around in circles forever while they completed whatever they needed to do in order to awaken the fallen god

"We will go ahead first" [Thanatos]

"Understood. Careful though" [Ash]

"Fallen god. How long have it been..." [Lady of the Holy Death]

"Hmm?" [Linda]

"In any case, we should embrace ourselves for what lies ahead" [King Yan]

"Grr..." [Mot]

"If only there are more of you, S rank minion of God of Death, but beggars can't be picky" [Ash]

Thanatos, someone that I have fought before. Lady of the holy death, a more powerful version of minion of God of Death than Linda is. King Yan, emitting an old chinese emperor aura with multiple souls surrounding him as a weapon, and Mot, a mummy with a scythe and a coffin twice it size as a weapon. You would think with all of them, also searching for a way to stop the fallen god awakening will ease my mind a bit, but nope, somehow I feel even more distressed. Maybe this just show how serious the situation is. 

As the five of them (including Linda) went ahead first, I quickly follow suit, and

"Hungry. Want. To. Rest. And. Eat. Something" [Zin]

Isn't that the half giant...

(Should I kill him?) [Ash]

No, bad call. Should I fail, this will hamper with the plan of rescuing Saint Louis as well as stopping the fallen god. Best I could do is to hide myself and let him pass through

As the stomping of the half giant passersby, I resume the operation. There's really no one here (other than that half giant just now), so I don't really need to hide myself, just that

(All of these... Are they, the portal stone?) [Ash]

And so much variety to it. For once, there is the classic portal stone that I first saw back during the S rank dark behemoth incident. Then, there's this strange portal stone, that are simply brimming with artificial blessings.l, guess this is the one responsible for what transpired in Kiserre. There's also a black portal stone, with note about their side effects to a beastman, turning them into an enhanced regressed beastly transformation, and plenty more of it to come.

(Should we really call it Portal stone? I should tell the other about my finding) [Ash]

I mean, it's clear now it wasn't meant only for long distance teleportation.

And after a bit more of walking, I finally stumbled across a large steel door. It's thick, and my strength wouldn't suffice to open it up. Guess that's why they keep Zin here, as a guard to this steel door, that as well to open and close the door

"Inferno" [Ash]

Using fire magic to make a hole, I quickly went through the hole to get inside. Not only large, the door is quite thick, but that's not important, what's more important

"So, you have come" [?]

"Tchh!" [Ash]

Tough luck, as I am the first one here, and that, that feeling when I first saw the fallen god, comes back to haunt me. Nauseated, but, I have to try my hardest to fight it

"Haaa!" [Ash]

Right now, it's still sealed away. The voice of the fallen god echoes through a portal leading to another dimension were the god locked up, and beneath the portal is pile of massive portal stone, being continuously operated just to sustain the portal. The amount of mana generated are simply ridiculed. 

"Devil orcs" [Fallen god]

And thus, a legion of commander orc shown themselves, with the word devil in front of it. 

"Great inferno tornado. Explosion barrage" [Ash]

It's strong. The devil orcs are strong. Of course, my inferno tornado burn most of them, but any normal commander orcs would be defeated, or heavily injured after taking the two attacks combined, and yet, some of them still have some strength to fight me. A single swing from the broadsword of them are indeed heavy, even numbing my hands as I parry it with my scythe

"Water torrent! Thunder, electrocute them all! Ice missiles shark, torn them apart!" [Ash]

With this, most of them are electrocuted, save for one of them who is equipped with thunder mana resistance armor, but that devil orc is quickly defeated in one on one battle 

"Interesting. How about this! Devil dragon!" [Fallen god]

"Shit!" [Ash]

Huh... There isn't a dragon. Good! Maybe because the ridiculous amount of mana needed from the portal stone to summon a devil dragon, all the while sustaining the portal

"Devil demon commander!" [Fallen god]

"I don't think so!" [Ash]

As my scythe is about yo destroy those pile of portal stone, the devil slam me away, and keep on rampaging, hitting me like a shuttlecock, until

"Urghhh...." [Devil]

Their souls are being attack directly by Thanatos and the other. Thank goodness they arrive, but, it's not only them though, as the fallen god summon someone familiar as well, who quickly leap from the portal and greet us all

"Well well, we meet again Ash, Thanatos, and Lady of the holy death" [Agnes]

"Agnes!" [Ash]
