Chapter 6: Getting Familiar

“Lily?”~Bella

Bella started to worry a bit as Lily kept going with her mantra and so she interrupted her.

“Yes, mistress. How may I be of service?”~Lily

“Mistress? Why not just call me like before?”~Bella

Honously, Bella felt a thrill when she heard Lily call her mistress, but she wasn’t going to outright admit to that. She also felt a sense of loss from Lily’s change to a more demure bearing.

“As I am now officially in mistress’s service, the previous way to address is no longer acceptable. Depending on the active persona and situation, the way I address mistress will vary. For example: while acting as your assistant in public, I would address mistress as my lady, young miss, Ms. Edele or likewise.”~Lily

Bella wanted to argue, but she finally figured out what the new look in Lily’s eyes represented: fervent devotion. Lily’s previous emotional state had caused her bright blue eyes to glisten, giving Bella the impression of a bright blue sky on a sunny day. Now they gave the impression of a temperate ocean with an unknown depth. Point being, the Lily right now likely wouldn’t accept addressing her in an informal manner.

*Sigh* “My lady or young miss will be fine. Not Ms. Edele though. I don’t much like my father’s last name. Or my father for that matter.”~Bella

The last sentence was said in a whispered murmur, not meant to be heard. But Lily heard it anyway as she was currently entirely focused on her mistress, each of her senses acutely aware of her.

“I’ve memorized your preferences, mistress.”~Lily

“So, what do we do now?”~Bella

“What. Ever. You. Wish. Mis-stress.”~Lily

“N-no, I mean that…I-I wanted to hire you so that you could help me sort some things out. But where do we start?”~Bella

Lily’s sudden flirtiness threw Bella off for a second before remembering about the ‘Devil’s Temptation’ add-on, thinking maybe she shouldn’t have approved that one after all. But it might be fine since Lily was perceptive enough to pick up on Bella’s mindset and got back to business.

“Understood, mistress. Might I suggest that we begin with you listing out each of your immediate needs, your current schedule and the future goals you wish to accomplish?”~Lily

Slapping her forehead, Bella felt a bit embarrassed. Lily may be the ideal employee to help her get through her current slump, but she’d first need to tell Lily about her circumstances. The two of them discussed for a while and eventually hashed out a decent schedule for Bella to follow:

It was Friday now, so Bella would start things off later that night by getting a good rest and officially start following the schedule on Saturday. For the mandatory event that she had to do each weekend, she would pick one that was during the afternoon or evening between 1:45pm to 915pm. That way she would really only be using up free time for them. As for eating times over that period, most events would offer food anyways or be hosted somewhere that one could easily find a high class restaurant nearby.

Since she wouldn’t have any study time today, Lily helped her arrange for a back and body specialist to make a house call in the afternoon. They would give Bella a general health assessment and make joint alignments if necessary.

Lily went to change into something more comfortable before lunch, leaving Bella by herself for the moment. The phrases from earlier seemed like some language, so she decided to look them up online. She quickly went red in the face from what she found and concluded that those phrases were definitely something Lily must have decided in order to tease her.
