(Ginnie POV)

“Come on Trunks, we have a job to do.” Ginnie said, once she couldn’t see Gohan anymore.

“... Alright… what do we do?” Trunks asked, turning towards her.

“Focus on helping anyone nearby who needs it while being on the lookout for any survivors that may be trapped underneath anything.” Ginnie said, turning around to start looking.

“Alright.” Trunks nodded, as some people started coming out of various hiding places.

They looked at each other, giving each other a quick nod, before flying down to start helping those that needed it. They made their way towards a fallen building, where a crowd was gathered and started helping by clearing rubble to free those trapped, they also put out any fires they came across.

They slowly made their way further into the city looking for more people with volunteers of people who weren’t as injured. They had just finished clearing some more rubble out of the way freeing those trapped when she felt Gohan's Ki shoot up signaling that the fighting had started, “Be careful Gohan, I can't lose you too.” she thought.

“I-is that Gohan?” Trunks asked in awe, turning towards where Gohan was fighting.

“...Yeah…” Ginnie sighed, taking a deep breath, to calm her nerves. She had wanted to give Trunks a sarcastic reply about them not being able to sense androids, but she was too worried about Gohan to put her heart in it.

“W-wow, he's so strong!” Trunks said, still in awe.

“Of course he is! It's Gohan!” Ginnie exclaimed before sighing, “I just hope it's enough this time.” She thought. “No, I can't doubt Gohan, he can win!” She shook her head, taking a calming breath before refocusing on helping. “Come on we have a job to do.”

“R-right.” Trunks nodded before he went back to helping.

They were looking around for more people when she felt Gohan's Ki start dropping rapidly, “GOHAN!!” her head snapping towards his location, taking off without a second thought.

She was so lost in thought pushing herself to the limit that she hadn't noticed that Trunks was right behind her calling out to her, but she couldn't hear him because of the rushing wind.

She came to a stop when she saw a massive red energy ball in the distance, “What the hell is that!?” Trunks exclaimed, stopping beside her a few seconds later.

“I-I don't know but Gohan needs our help stopping it.” Ginnie said, noticing a familiar large blue beam heading towards it.

“W-what can we do against that!?” Trunks exclaimed, “That thing looks like it can wipe us all out!”

Ginnie turned to look at him prepared to say something but decided against it, “You do what you want but I know I need to do everything I can to help Gohan. I…I can't lose him too.” she said as her eyes hardened, as she rushed towards Gohan again.

Once she could make out Gohan in the distance, she sped up but came to a stop when she felt his Ki shoot up higher than she had ever felt before, followed by his Kamehameha beam growing larger as it started slowly pushing back the red energy ball back. She stayed there in shock, not believing her eyes as the beam quickly gained more power to quickly push the ball into Android 13 before he could react where it carried him away into the sky.

“W-was that Gohan?” Trunks asked from behind her.

“I… I think so.” She mumbled looking into the sky for any sign of 13 coming back, but not seeing anything.

“...Do you think…” Trunks started asking but stopped when they felt Gohan's Ki dropping rapidly again.

“GOHAN!” they both shouted rushing towards him, they quickly landed next to him. He was lying face down, not moving.

“Is…is he?” Trunks asked.

“Don't even think that!” Ginnie said, glaring at him as she flipped Gohan over, wincing at his injuries, his face was bloody, one of his eyes was swollen, and the prototype armor Bulma had made for them had a large crack across the chest area. But despite all that she saw his chest raising and falling slowly.

“He looks bad, come on help me carry him to mom she’ll know what to do!” Trunks said, grabbing Gohan’s arms to try and lift him up.

She hated seeing Gohan hurt this badly, but she knew that with her current power all she would do was get in Gohan’s way just like last time.

“GINNIE!” Trunks shouted, breaking her out of her thoughts.

“Huh… W-what!?” she asked, looking around, her eyes landing on Gohan again. She noticed Trunks trying to lift Gohan. “Wait a sec, put him back down.” Ginnie said, reaching into her armor confusing Trunks, especially when she pulled out a small brown pouch.

“What's that?” Trunks asked, laying Gohan back down.

“They're called Senzu Beans, they heal any injuries and restore people to full health.” Ginnie explained as she opened the bag, pouring the beans into her open palm. She signed as only three beans fell out. She returned the other two beans back into the bag and fed Gohan one.

“Wow, they're incredible.” Trunks whispered as they watched Gohan's injuries slowly disappear until he looked like he hadn't just survived a battle to the death.

Ginnie just nodded, waiting for Gohan to wake up, she let out a sigh of relief when he suddenly sat up letting out a loud gasp.

(Gohan)

The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes were Ginnie’s tear-stained eyes, sitting near him, with Trunks standing behind her. Before he could say anything, Ginnie launched herself into him knocking them both down. She hugged him tightly and he felt her shaking from her silent sobs.

Gohan grimaced, he hated seeing her like this, so he slowly started rubbing her back, “Hey it's alright…I'm fine.” He repeated softly into her ear, until she eventually calmed down.

After she got it out of her system, she started punching him, “You jerk!”

“Ow, no beating up the injured.” Gohan joked, not blocking her punches, since there was no real power behind them.

“You're not injured anymore but I can injure you again if you want.” Ginnie said glaring at him, before cracking into a small smile.

“...no, I'm good.” Gohan said, returning the smile, “Now can you please get off me so I can get up.”

Ginnie's eyes went wide when she noticed the position they were in, her face went bright red before she punched him hard before jumping off him. “...I…umm…I'm going to look for more survivors.” She muttered flying off before he could say anything.

“...What was that about?” Trunks asked, watching as Ginnie left.

“...I have no idea.” Gohan said rubbing his shoulder where Ginnie punched him. “Come on, let's go help Ginnie.” He said, shaking his head as he stood up.

“What about the Android?” Trunks asked.

“...I don't know. I was going to ask you guys.” Gohan said, looking into the sky for any signs of 13 coming back.

“You don't know!?” Trunks exclaimed.

“…No, I remember trying to push back his attack and then everything went black, next thing I know I’m waking up with you guys here. Do you know what happened?” Gohan asked, turning to look at Trunks.

“...no not really, I know your Ki shot up really high then you pushed the Androids attack back hitting them with it. After that your energy started falling fast and Ginnie raced over to give you one of those bean thingies.” Trunks explained.

“I see…” Gohan said looking back up at the sky, “…let's go help Ginnie.” he said, after not seeing anything in the sky.

“...do you think he's dead?” Trunks asked.

“... honestly I'm not sure.” Gohan sighed, shaking his head.

“So why aren't you going to look for him!?” Trunks asked, turning towards him.

“... I wouldn't know where to start, he doesn't have Ki like we do so it won't be easy to find him, and that's not counting on how far the attack may have carried him.” Gohan explained.

“So, you're not going to do anything!?” Trunks asked angrily.

Gohan sighed, “Do you have any better ideas?”

“I... no.” Trunks sighed, shaking his head.

“Me either, that’s why we do what we can and that's helping those we can.” Gohan said, placing a hand on Trunk’s shoulder. “I know how you feel, I won’t be able to rest easy not knowing if he’s still out there but right now there’s nothing we can do.”

“I…I’m sorry.” Trunks said, looking up at him.

“It’s fine don’t worry…” Gohan started saying but stopped his head snapping up, as he felt a spike of dark energy in the distance, that made him tense up. His eyes narrowed trying to locate it, but it vanished just as quickly as it appeared.

“...what's wrong?” Trunks asked, looking around too.

“I... it’s nothing.” Gohan said, shaking his head, chalking it up to stress, “...let's go.” He said, flying into the air.

“...ok.” Trunks, following him.

(??? POV)

13’s body was lying in an open field, badly damaged but still functioning when a shadow fell over him.

“Hmm, now that was a pleasant surprise, I didn't think he could achieve that form without proper motivation, but it's still not enough. He needs to completely unlock it so I can get the energy I need.” A voice spoke. “...Oh, you're still functioning.” they muttered seeing 13 lift his arm up towards them.

“You…need to…fix me…again.” 13 said.

“Don’t worry I will.” The person said, tapping 13 with the end of a staff of some sort causing him to lose consciousness and his body to float up next to the person.

“...It looks like I need to take some drastic measures if I want to gather the necessary energy.” The person muttered, snapping their fingers making a dark red vortex of some sort open behind them.

“...yes, that could work.” They muttered, happily walking into the vortex, as it closed behind them.

(Gohan)

They had made it back to Capsule Corp to a pacing Bulma, who rushed over as soon as they landed.

“Are you guys ok!?” She asked, checking each of them over before coming to a complete stop when she saw him.

“Hey… the armor works.” Gohan said, chuckling, nervously.

“...” Bulma looked like she wanted to yell at him, but she decided to just pull him into a tight hug. “... I'm glad you're ok.” She whispered.

“...y-yeah, I told you that I'll do my best to come back.” Gohan replied, hugging her back.

Bulma kept hugging him for a few minutes, “...Come on, let's head inside, I’m sure you are all hungry.” Bulma said, finally releasing him.

“Heh, yeah.” Gohan said, giving her a smile.

“You guys can go shower, and I'll get started on dinner.” Bulma said as they entered.

“...right, thank you.” Gohan said, heading to the bathroom.

Gohan took off his armor, sighing at the sight of its condition before he tossed it on the ground, and stepped into the shower. Turning on the water he stayed under it just letting the warm water wash over him, trying to recall what happened.

“...I was losing, there's no point in denying it, there was no way I should have survived. I think I remember hearing Vegeta, but that might have been the concussion. That's when everything went blank, but Trunks said that my power level shot up higher than ever for a moment which allowed me to push back 13’s attack. But why can't I remember...” Gohan thought, when a knock on the door brought him back.

“Yeah.” He called out.

“Gohan it's me.” Bulma said from the other side.

“What's up, Bulma?” Gohan asked.

“I just wanted to pick up your armor and see if there's anything I can do with it.” Bulma said.

“Ok, yeah you can come in.” Gohan said.

“Ok.” Bulma said, as he heard the door opened, “I’m leaving some clean clothes and a towel for you.”

“Thanks.” Gohan called out as he heard the door close a few minutes later.

Gohan stayed under the shower for a while longer, enjoying the feeling of the warm water washing over him. Eventually he stepped out, dried himself, and got dressed. “...I wish I could talk to someone and get some advice.” He sighed, shaking his head, before walking downstairs to the kitchen, where the others were arriving.

“Great, I was just about to call you guys.” Bulma said, setting the table.

“Thanks Bulma.” Gohan said, sitting down.

“Yeah, no problem.” Bulma said as they began eating.

“And you don't remember what happened after?” Bulma asked.

They were sitting in the living room, talking with an empty bottle of wine sitting on the table in front of them. Bulma waited until after Ginnie and Trunks had gone to bed to ask Gohan about what happened and why his armor was in such bad shape.

Gohan told her about his fight and how things ended, “... honestly? No.” Gohan replied, with a shake of his head. “But according to Trunks and Ginnie my power increased high enough to push back 13’s attack, but…”

“...but you don't remember it happening.” Bulma finished, setting her glass on the table.

“...yeah.” Gohan replied, setting his glass down as well.

“Well, if anyone can figure it out it's you.” Bulma said, giving him a smile.

“... yeah, at least this time we have a bit of a break before 13 comes back fixed.” Gohan replied halfheartedly, “I wish we knew how he was getting repaired.” He added with a sigh.

“Yeah, I'm sorry, but I still haven't been able to find that article that mentioned the location of Gero’s lab.” Bulma replied, with a sigh, taking out her pack of cigarettes.

“... it's fine you’ve…Crap Baskets!” Gohan shouted, jumping to his feet.

“What!?” Bulma exclaimed, dropping the pack.

“I almost forgot there are two more Androids!” Gohan exclaimed looking at her, his eyes going wide.

“What!?” Bulma uttered, dropping her pack of cigarettes.

(AN: Here we go another chapter of Warrior of the Future, I was planning on spell checking and uploading this on the 25th but I was unable to, but I was still able to get it out before the end of the year so I’m happy. I hope that there’s isn’t such a long break between this chapter and the next one but like I said when I started this fic, I’m practically working from the ground up and I want to take my time with it.

The plot thickness, who’s the mysterious person who recovered Android 13 and what are they planning. I’m pretty sure some of you guys have an idea of who it is but I won’t deny or confirm anything yet, but I hope you guys like what I’m planning with them. Until next time, thanks for reading and if you spot any mistakes, please let me know.)
