I then went into the inventory, grabbed a crate of berries, and started munching while savoring the taste.
(Happy) It's so good; I could eat this forever! Though I do crave meat sometimes. Now back to what I wanted to do! So that message thing. How does it work? I'm sure I've never heard of any rumors of stuff like this before. Then is it new? I mean, as the guild master of an assassin's guild, I'm sure there'd be something.
Cause while we mainly deal with killing targets, we also deal in not-so-legal information, plus all the smuggling rings and such, I'm sure I'd hear at least a peep of it. Unless Max has been keeping things from me... *Shrug* Meh, I doubt it, not after last time when he sent those assassins to kill me.
I usually would have just killed him, but I needed someone to do all the work, and since he had the trust of the guild, I just sent the heads back and gave him a pay cut while also revoking his dick privileges till he could pay me. When he tried to steal money to pay it off faster, I just took it and the money he had hidden. After the third time, he just kept it on him, at which point I just robbed him in broad daylight.
I mean, no one even tried to stop me for one of two reasons either A. they knew who he was, or B. they didn't want to piss me off. Mostly B, though because it's really rare to know who he is. Speaking of robbing, I need to go collect my money from the Sapphire Horns. It's still funny how a literal cult was started around us because of those guys.
We let them live, and we get 30% of the loot; they get to kill and loot merchants who try to double-cross or scam us. Though they were displeased with our no-slavery rule, their former leader tried to fight me. *Shrug* Man's dead anyway. However, we ended up coming to a compromise.
They can do whatever the hell they want with human women and kill the demi-humans. In exchange, I'll throw them a few bandit women who'll end up like that anyway. Of course, we catch them cause I'd rather pay 5 gold for a seal than hundreds, if not thousands, for one. Hell, I hate having to pay even 5 gold, but I've got no choice as that's what it costs to take them and put a slave seal.
Though at least I got to choose whether to brand them or not. Otherwise, I'd have to listen to their bitching... And I'm off-topic. Still, I do pop into the guild weekly for the news, but I've never heard anything about what I saw.

Not to mention the .5% boost to the regeneration of my mana and stuff! This means if I go out alone, I could literally fight an entire fucking army without so much as a scratch! I would become a tamer or necromancer's arch-enemy!
