When she heard the answer, she got that distant look she gets whenever she's thinking about magic or runes.

All 3 of us couldn't help but groan in annoyance at the thought of Snow doing tests on magic. She tends to go overboard and has a MAJOR tendency to blow things, and spells up uninte- mostly unintentionally. And getting hit by an explosion when you're not expecting it isn't pleasant and can also ruin whatever you were doing. 

We've all had a meal or training interrupted due to her... mishaps. Kind of like that polymorph spell, she tested on me. When she sent me the data, I didn't miss the fact that there was a good 20% chance that I could have turned into mush.

"(Confused) What?"(Snow)

"*Sigh* Nothing."(Rina)

The moment the concoction hit my tongue, I wanted to vomit. The taste wasn't bad; it just tasted like cold water, but the texture... It was slimy, viscous, and sticky, yet went down like water. It was both hot and cold. It was horrible for my senses.

{It was a... I guess you could call it an elixir that would heal the soul, nya. Because a certain someone, hint, hint, her name starts with R and ends with A decided she wanted to fuck with your magic and aura cores, nya.}(Master)

When he said that, they all started glaring at me like it was my fault they had to drink it.

"(Indignant) Don't glare at me!! It's Master's fault for not warning me that this could have happened! I wouldn't have tried it if I knew!!"(Rina)

Their glares seemed to lessen as what I said made sense.

"Well, I guess you're right. You may be reckless and just a tad bit suicidal, but you aren't one to put us or yourself in mortal danger... unlike Hail."(Snow)

"(Upset) Hey! Why am I being dragged into this!!"(Hail)

"Because you're a reckless meathead with muscle for brains."(Snow)

"(Mad) Well, I'd rather be a meathead than a defective mage whose spells blow up in their face!"(Hail)

"(Pissed) *Glare* You want to go meathead."(Snow)

"(Pissed) *Glare* *Knuckle crack* Bring it defective mage."(Hail)

*Sigh*

While Snow was somewhat lecturing me on my combat style, she just had to slip in an insult to Hail which all of us caught, which led to them preparing to fight. Me and Izz just sighed in disappointment at the two and looked at each other, and came to a silent agreement.

Both of us then got up and punched them on the head. Izz getting Snow while I got Hail. We both enhanced our fists with chaos mana which boosted them far more than expected, causing us to crack their skulls and start bleeding, which lasted for about a second before they healed.

"(Annoyed) *Sigh* Can't you two not fight like cats and dogs for FIVE damn seconds!"(Rina)

"Ugh."(Rina)

I couldn't help but rub my head at the headache that was forming because of these two. Izz, on the other hand, was shaking her head in disapproval at them.

{You are aware that their core beings are opposites, right, nya?}(Master)

"(Annoyed) *Sigh* I'm WELL aware of that, and I'm not asking them to be chummy or anything. I just wish these two wouldn't start fights EVERY FIVE SECONDS!!"(Rina)

I ended up snapping at Master at the end because with bringing up the past I wished to forget and the almost dying, plus the elixir thing, and the terrible pain, AND the panic attack, I felt way too stressed to keep my cool for much longer.

"*Whistle* We've really done it now."(Hail)

Once she spoke, everyone's eyes locked onto her.

(Pissed) I'm going to kill her.

"(Confused) Wh- *Cough* *Thump*"(Hail)

Just as I thought about tearing her to shreds, both Izz and Snow moved at the same time, punching her straight in the gut, causing her to fall face first.

{Ahem, is your little family squabble done so I can now teach, nya?}(Master)

And with perfect timing, Master managed to break the tension that was building up.

"Su-"(Rina)

{(Frantic) Master!}(Nifl)

"*Raise eyebrow* What's up, Nifl?"(Rina)

{(Frantic) The egg!}(Nifl)

"(Confused) Did something happen?"(Rina)

{(Frantic) The egg's hatching!}(Nifl)

"(Shocked) Wah, why didn't you say that, to begin with!?! Master, can we put this on hold for, say, five minutes!?"(Rina)

{(Flat) You better not use this as an excuse to skip out, nya.}(Master)

"(Frantic) I won't! You can even stay on the line; I just need to go!"(Rina)

{*Sigh* Fine, it's not like I can exactly stop you, nya.}(Master)

Upon my urging, they all agreed, even Hail, who managed to get back up. We then entered the pocket dimension and ran through the forest. To the rose field where Nifl was standing watching the egg. I didn't bother stopping to take in the sight as I was too focused on the egg, which had cracks in it and was rocking back and forth.

Once I got close, I could see that the egg would hatch any minute, making my excitement grow even more. My tail even started waging in excitement at the thought of what might come out of the egg. We all stood there smooshed together, staring at the egg with excitement for five whole minutes until.
