CHORUS
Parodos
Across the Empire lies a great road.
Soldiers, silk, jade and gold,
The Empire feeds the world by hand
A half-tamed beast, a god of land
In the west they covet gold
In the south, magics old
In the north there is a war
A caged bird there yearns to soar
Underneath a god of sky
Two lovers meet, before they die
Southern magic, western zeal
They face death standing, too proud to kneel
A daughter cursed, forced to roam
The other dead, far from home
A covenant broken, a hungry god
In bloody footprints their path is trod
