The Jiltre Vastiga is the wellspring of life for an expansive spiral galaxy, the Milky Way. Within this galaxy is a planet that formed some four billion years ago, a world that would one day become known as Earth. Life was brought to Earth by the Vastiga, though somewhat indirectly.

The Vastiga created a vehicle of life known as a unified world seed. Each seed is made of trillions of diverse and resilient organisms. A single seed is capable of growing complex ecosystems on empty worlds like moss on the surfaces of trees.

These seeds were sent across the galaxy by the Vastiga on countless meteors while in states of dormancy, unable to grow or die in the vacuum of space. Millions of years might pass by the time the meteorites reach another solar system, and many of these meteors may fall into stars or inhospitable planets like gas giants.

But, one of these meteorites landed on a young Earth, which was undergoing a thaw after experiencing an ice age. It was the perfect conditions for a bloom.

A billion and a half years pass.

The now living Earth is finally noticed by the Vastiga, since it can watch any of its seeded worlds and check their growth. It believes that Earth is a prime candidate for receiving more complex varieties of life. Earth has a layer of fertile soil, so it can now grow some cash crops.

The Vastiga uses its Authority of Life Radiation upon Earth. Wherever life is capable of surviving, smarter and / or more resilient creatures start to appear in multitudes and rapidly claim ascendancy within their environments. The competition of life enters a new phase, and species fall into and out of existence relatively quickly.

Many of these growing species gain members who have reached the proper mental complexity and automatically receive souls. Thus, life on Earth shares in the omnipresent soul of the Mother that extends to all of creation.

As a result, these new creatures will enter the cycle of reincarnation upon their deaths. Souls from Earth will be reborn on Earth or elsewhere. The soul of a flying pterosaur could one day be born again as a mammal on Earth or a god somewhere else. Such is the transcendence of the Mother’s design.

Hundreds of millions of years pass.

A new race of intelligent creatures multiplies upon the face of the Earth. A race of intelligence that is capable of creating technological wonders and powerful nations that can unify its members under a single culture and hierarchy.

Humanity on Earth inadvertently became a candidate race for the Divine Limit to reach out its hand.

One of those nations of humans came to be known by the name of Western Britannia. It is an empire that is the greatest the world has ever seen. Within that nation is the province of New Amsterdam, where a small city called Briboia is located. Within the suburbs of Briboia live two humans.

One of them is a young man named Ajax Leonid, and the other is a young woman named Shaula Seikennith.

They live together in Ajax’s family home, with his mother and younger sister; Ajax’s father works away from home in another province. Shaula currently has no living family members and, besides Ajax and his family, has no close ties to others. Ajax meanwhile has his immediate family and Shaula, but is otherwise as isolated as Shaula is.

These two are both model students with bright futures ahead of them. They supposedly became friendly to one another through chance encounters in the high school classes they shared. Through a series of adverse circumstances, Shaula had to impose on Ajax and share his home with him and his family.

In truth however, the origins of Ajax and Shaula are not the same as every other creature on their world.

They have a certain special advantage over all other lifeforms, one that neither of them understand yet. The two of them were born through the behavior, actions and reproduction of countless generations of Earth-born lifeforms. They have been born as humans, and lived as humans their entire lives.

They have found joy, love, pleasure, and pain just like any other human would. They both have goals and dreams that humans would approve of. But, their souls are not the same as those of other living creatures. This will prove important today.

Ajax Leonid is a senior year high school student who has been accepted to the University of Lower Dietrich. He needs to maintain a certain GPA in order to keep his spot in his program. Today is the day of his last exam in high school.

If he performs well, his grade in English and, more importantly, his GPA will be kept high, and he will have no worries about his first year of University. His future will be set in stone.

His morning starts rather unpromisingly, however.

Ajax woke up in a sweat after experiencing a nightmare he cannot fully remember. He uses his shaking hands to wipe the sweat off of his face. His breathing slows down; he was hyperventilating just a few seconds ago. He combs his hair back with his fingers and finally takes a look to his right.

He realizes he hasn’t woken up in the middle of the night as bright sunlight is seeping through his blackout curtains. He checks the time on his phone and sighs in relief. He woke up just a half hour before his alarm would have gone off. His sleep, though rough, should serve him well for his morning test.

Without any further delay, he throws off his early morning tiredness and goes through his morning routine. He goes to the washroom, showers, gathers his writing materials, making sure he hasn’t missed a single extra pencil, pen or eraser. Then, as soon as his clothes are prepared, he goes downstairs to eat breakfast with his family.

How'd you like the lore about how life came to Earth? Continue reading! We're only in the first part!
