 William's POV

After the Game, the coach took us to a family restaurant to celebrate.

"It's on me guys! Order whatever you want!" The coach shouted as soon as we sat down.

"Yeah!!"

"Thanks, coach!"

"You all did great out there, especially Thompson and Accardi. You showed them what Midtown High is all about!"

It was fun... I barely tasted the food with how overwhelmed I was by all the compliments and congratulations that I received.

Then it was finally time to go home. I walked together with my Freshmen teammates, Flash, Brian, Jason, and Me.

"Hey, you guys got a date for the party tomorrow?" Brian asked.

Flash smiled confidently and bragged, "Heh, I already have one. You know Liz Allen from the cheerleading squad? She asked me just before the game and of course I said yes. Who could say no to that face?"

"I already have one as well. There's this girl from the journalism club, Betty. She's an eight out of ten but damn... she got huge tits that you won't notice at first but when you see it..." Jason said while licking his lips.

"Fuck..! I'm so jealous. How about you Will, got a date already?"

"Yeah... I was asked out by a classmate of mine, Jessica and I said yes."

"Jessica? who's that? She in any club or something?"

I scratched my head and thought, "Her full name is Jessica Campbell and I don't think she's in any club..."

"Keep dreaming. I think Osborn already has his hands on her. You think you could beat the power of money? You got no chance bro." Jason said completely ruining Brian's fantasy.

"Who the fuck cares about that spoiled brat? If you got some of  this..." Flash said while flexing his arm. "she'll be all over you in no time."

"Fuck... I don't have that either." Brian said while lowering his head.

Flash laughed then turned to me again "So whaddya think Will? Unlike this loser here I think you got a chance to get Watson. And I've seen you two talk from time to time... Why haven't you asked her out yet?"

"No... we're just friends." I said then they started laughing.

"You joking bro? Or are you gay?" Flash asked me while trying to hold back a laugh.

Jason then added. "It ain't no way you're just friends with her. If you're not trying to get into her pants then what's the point?"

"If only I have your looks and talent... I won't be putting it to waste." Brian said while glaring at me with jealousy.

I sighed, "We're really just friends... And I already agreed with Jessica that I'm going with her. You guys can't change my mind."

'After all, she gave all her courage to ask me out. I'm not just going to ditch her...'

"Suit yourself, bro. Its your loss"

After that, we talked about more mundane things until we finally reached the bus stop and went home.

Once I opened the door to our home I immediately smelled Mom's cooking. 'Damn... It's making me hungry again.'

Inside Mom is sitting with her friends and talking at the dining table and once she saw he smiled then said."You had fun, Will?"

I smiled and nodded, "Yeah, the coach treated us after the game. Sorry that I didn't come home together with you."

"Look at you... You're all grown up now, Will. I remember when you used to come to the clinic just to skip classes." Miss Linda said.

It was a small world... Miss Linda the nurse back in Elementary school is now working at the same hospital as Mom and they even became friends.

"That was a really long time ago Miss Linda..."

"But it feels just like yesterday... Both you and Jean will always be there every time I open the clinic. How is she anyway? You got any news?"

I sighed and sat down as well while Mom went to the kitchen and took out the food from the oven.

"I haven't talked to her in years... But her father told me that she went to a private high school with a full scholarship."

"Oh... I've always thought that both of you will grow up together and be lovers... That would be super adorable don't you think?"

I just awkwardly smiled not knowing what to say. It looks like she noticed it so she changed the topic and turned to Miss Cristine, Mom's other friend. "Speaking of lovers... how are things between you and Steven?"

Miss Cristine slumped her face at the table "Ugh... don't even say his name plus I already broke up with him. I'm even thinking of creating a rule to never date colleagues, which I will call the Strange Policy."

"Why would you even date a self-entitled prick like him?"

"What? He is not that bad... He is serious in his job and never gives up on his patients even if the other doctors did..."

"Girl... Even now you're defending him move on."

I just listened to them talk while waiting for the meal Mom prepared. I already knew that Mom's friend is dating the Doctor Strange but I also knew that they wouldn't be in danger. Because Doctor Strange deals with the supernatural and he never came back again to the hospital. Well... he came back once I think but Miss Cristine wasn't even in danger based on the movie.

Then Mom came back from the kitchen and put the food on the table"Here it is your favorite... Lasagna!"

"This looks delicious Elise. You got to tell me the recipe for this." Miss Linda said while taking a slice and putting it on her plate.

Miss Cristine scoffed, "As if you can make something like this."

"Hey! I can do it if I want to!"

I took a slice myself and ate it. It was delicious... I barely paid attention to what they are talking about just enjoying the food. Then after I finished eating I asked Mom something that is in the back of my mind ever since coming home.

"Mom? Where's Dad?"

She smiled at me but I noticed that it was a bit forced, "He is a bit busy with work... But he really wanted to come to your game."

'That's a lie... He never showed up even once when I was at middle school.'

I nodded, "Oh... it's fine."

"So you got any date tomorrow?" She forcefully changed the topic.

"Yeah... A classmate asked me and I agreed."

"That's great! You can wear your father's suit but... Maybe we need to resize it a bit." Mom said while looking at me from top to bottom.

"What? I don't need to wear that. It's just homecoming, not Prom no need to be so formal. Just a long sleeve shirt and pants are fine."

"What are you talking about? This is the first time you're going to a school party it's going to be memorable, you need to look good."

In the end, we reached a compromise I'll wear a suit jacket but underneath I'm just going to wear a white shirt. We went to a tailor that night and we got it just in time before the party after paying extra.

Then the next day I'm standing in front of the mirror in my room looking at myself. I am wearing a black suit jacket underneath it is a white shirt and black pants, I also slicked back my hair. I smiled 'Damn... I look good.'

When I went out of my room Mom and Dad are in the living room watching TV. They turned to me then Mom smiled and said, "My baby boy is all grown up now... You look great!"

Dad then looked at me from top to bottom, "Is that my suit?"

I nodded.

"It suits you..." Then he stood up and took his keys. "Come on I'll drive you."

I paused and couldn't help but think about how that went last time but I decided to follow him out anyway. Mom hugged both of us and then we went out to his car.

The whole car ride was silent. I don't really know what to say... so I just stayed quiet and looked out the window.

Then Dad spoke, "I heard that you won your game yesterday."

"Yeah..."

"...your Mom also told me that you did great and scored a lot of points."

"Uh-huh"

Then it was silent again. Until we finally arrived and he stopped the car.

"Thanks for the ride." I said then opened the door.

"Wait."

I was thinking of just going out but in the end I stayed seated and looked at him.

"I couldn't come to your game yesterday because I was busy."

"... It's fine."

He then reached into the glove compartment and took something then handed it to me. "Here, for protection."

I looked at it and it was a packet of three condoms. I couldn't help but laugh.

"What?" He asked me.

"I'm twelve, Dad."

"So? I don't see the problem."

I smiled and put it in my suit pocket. "Thanks, I'll see you at home. Bye."

He nodded then I got out of the car and looked at the school. Then I looked at my watch it was 6:56 pm and the party will start at about 7:30 pm. I guess I was early.

Then I walked in and I can see that everyone is dressed up. Then I reached the classroom and looked around but I don't see Jessica anywhere.

MJ noticed me and approached. "Looking good, Will."

She is wearing a red with green accent dress that reaches just beneath her knees. She also has her hair braided and styled.

"Thanks, You look good as well it matches your eyes and hair."

She smiles, "So you got a date?"

"Yeah... It's Jessica. Have you seen her anywhere?"

She looks around the room and shakes her head  "Not really, I haven't seen her all day."

"Maybe she's just late. How about you? Who's your date?"

"It's Harry but... I haven't seen him yet either."

We then took a seat and talked for a while. When Harry arrived, I already saw him before he saw us. He looked at me and frowned a bit but he eventually smiled and waved at MJ.

"Hey, MJ! Let's go to the Gym?"

MJ stood up and went out of the room with Harry.

"I'll see you later, Will." She waved before going out.

Then I waited and talked with some of my classmates but eventually, they all went out with their partners. I looked at my watch and noticed that it was 7:47 pm.

'Did I just got ditched?'

I sighed and eventually went out of the room to the Gym.

Once I was there the lights are off and the only light is the colorful lights in the ceiling. The music is playing so loud that you could barely hear and on the stage, some bands are performing.

I looked around and everybody is either with friends or partners. Until I found Flash, some of my teammates together with their partners and the cheerleading squad are with them as well.

"There you are, Will!" Flash shouted as soon as he spots me. "Where's your partner? Got ditched?" He then laughs and the others laughs as well.

"Yeah! Looks like she didn't show up!" I yelled back.

Flash is seated on the bleachers with an arm over Liz Allen.

He laughs, "What did I tell you? Here meet Sally she's a friend of Liz! She doesn't have a partner as well, No need to thank me!"

He points to a blonde girl wearing a black cocktail dress that hugs her body and barely reaches her knees. She notices me and smiles, I smiled back and took a seat next to her.

"Hey, My name is Will nice to meet you."

"No need to introduce yourself, I already know you. You did great at the game yesterday."

"Thanks... I also saw your performance during the breaks. It was amazing."

"Really? So how was I? Was I good?" She said while slowly coming closer to me.

"Yeah, it was an amazing performance."

"Hmm... you look good in your suit." She said while moving her hands on my arm.

"Y-yeah? You look good in your dress as well."

"Really? You like what you see..?"

I gulped "Y-yeah... It fits you perfectly."

We talked for a long time and I could barely remember what I said. She keeps on touching me all over my suit and talking so close to me. Until finally the music changes to a more romantic one and she invites me to dance.

On the dance floor, we were so close to each other that I could feel her breath on my neck.

"I like you, Will." She whispers

I didn't know what to say... this shit is going so fast for me. I barely even knew her before this.

So I ended up not answering. She notices and she grabs my hand that is on her waist and pulls it down to her butt.

She whispers into my ear. "You like it?"

I froze and she stops as well. But I think she misunderstood because she puts a hand on my cheek and tiptoes until her lips touched mine. She bit my lower lip and forces her tongue into my mouth. That is when I pulled her back.

She looked at me with blushed face, confused she asks. "Why'd ya stopped? You don't like it with tongue? Don't worry I can also use it in other ways..." Then she puts a hand on my crotch.

I grabbed her hand making her stop. "N-no, It's just that aren't we going too fast?"

She raises an eyebrow, "You like more foreplay?"

"No, I don't really like you like that..."

"What? No, I just thought that this would be something more special..."

Then she turns around and walks away leaving me alone on the dance floor. I sighed and then went out of the Gym because I need some fresh air.

In the hallway, there are a lot of couples getting out as well. All of the couples are so close together it is almost like they want to fuse into one or something.

I sighed and put my hands in my pocket. 'What the hell did I just do? I just fucking blew it didn't I? That was my first kiss ever but I didn't even feel a thing just shocked... I just thought it would be something special. Should I have just gone along with it? I don't fucking know...'

When I got out of the building the cold air passed by, making me tighten the suit for some warmth.

It is dark... I then looked at my watch and saw that it was still early at 8:37 pm. I sat down at the bus stop and decided to wait. 'I think I just need to sleep on it...'

While I was waiting and just zoning out looking at the cars a voice came from my side.

"What's the rising freshman athlete doing out here? Got ditched by your date?"

"Fuck..!" I immediately glared at the direction the voice came from, I almost had a heart attack...

It was a blonde girl wearing a white dress sitting beside me. 'Wait she looks familiar but I can't see due to the poor light. More importantly how the fuck did I not notice she was there?'

She laughed at me, "I didn't know you were so easily frightened. I'm sorry about that."

"Gee... Thanks. I can feel the sincerity. What are you doing there anyway? Why are you sneaking up on me?"

"What? Me? Sneak up on you? I was here first then you suddenly sat there all depressed like the whole world abandoned you."

I scoffed, "I was not depressed I was just thinking if I did something stupid... What are you doing out here by yourself anyway? Got ditched by your date?"

She smiles proudly, "Unlike a certain someone I was not ditched by my date because I didn't have one in the first place."

"...that's even worse than getting ditched. And who are you talking about? I was not ditched by my date well technically the first one didn't come and the second one walked away... huh, wait... yeah I was ditched."

"Oh... a Cassanova, I think you probably deserve what happened." She nods like everything made sense to her.

I sighed, "Forget it... How about you? Why did you even came here for if you don't have a date?"

"Well... I was the one that helped the most in organizing this event of course I'd come. And... I guess I wanted to dance as well but nobody asked me to."

I looked at her confused, then I carefully look at her face. 'She is beautiful with blue eyes and blonde hair. It couldn't be possible for her to be alone... Wait did she just say organize?'

"You're Gwen Stacy!" The first time I saw her is at the opening ceremony on the first day and I was too far away to see her properly. This is my first time being this close to her.

"Huh? You just noticed?"

"...well it was pretty dark out here, so you know..."

Then a cold wind passed by and I saw her shivering. So I took off my suit leaving me with just my white shirt and put it on her shoulders.

"What are you doing?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, you looked like you're cold so-"

She cuts me off, "And you're not?" Then looked at me from top to bottom.

I smiled, "It's fine... I'm built different."

She then came closer and took off the left side of the suit and then put it on mine. "Everybody is built the same with Oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon, calcium, and phosphorus. You're no different."

Then a comfortable silence settles between us. 'This is nice...'

Then after a while, she reached for my suit pocket. "Hmm? What's this?"

"Wait! Don't take that out!"

I was too late and she saw the packet of condoms. She blushed and put it back. "I see... It looks like you're prepared."

'Dad was right about me needing it but I was the one that cock blocked myself... I need to get her mind off it or she'll probably think that I'm really a cassanova.'

"Y-you said that you liked to dance right?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

I looked at my watch and Its only 8:51 pm. So I stood up in front of her and offered my hand and asked, "Would you like to go on a dance with me?"

She smiles, "I would like to." Then she grabs my hand and stands up. We then went back inside and it was right on time.

I put my hands on her waist and she puts her hand on my shoulders. Then we danced.

We are looking at each other while we dance and it feels like we were the only ones here. We then both smile at the same time and I can feel my heartbeat racing just looking at her.
