"How can these people live like this?" holding her nose with her free hand, Saeko whispered.

"Don't even talk to me, because I can really taste the flavor of this smellt" With a disgusted face, Rika replied "Let's follow Fenrir and get out of this damn place fast."

The further they went down the corridors, the more disgusting the atmosphere became. Garbage on the floors, blood stains on the walls, and a humidity that reached the point of suffocation.

But as if Fenrir did not notice this, he continued walking with a calm face towards the place where the human presences came from.

The interior of the ship was quite similar to a labyrinth and if someone did not know the structure, he would undoubtedly end up getting lost.

But it was not only corridors, on the way there were many rooms with minimal hygiene, not to mention the bathroom, a scene that disturbed even Rika who lived many situations within the army.

After about 5 minutes where the girls' resistance was put to the test, Fenrir finally stopped in front of a door and opened it, causing a strong stench to assault everyone's nostrils.

Arching and trying not to vomit, Yuriko covered her nose and mouth, while Saeko tore a part of her T-shirt to cover her nose.

"Good grief..." Lowering her weapon at the sight of the searching humans, Rika muttered in a daze.

The scene was something even she didn't expect to come, and it certainly came to disturb even her.

But how could she not be disturbed?

Corpses were hanging upside down, blood was dripping on the floor and the condition of each corpse was quite depressing.

Some had no limbs and others had open stomachs with a clear lack of organs, there were even headless corpses still dripping blood.

But what made the whole situation even more disgusting were the more than 15 women chained to the walls totally naked and with obvious signs of abuse.

Although the women were alive and breathing, many of them were no different than corpses.

Extreme malnutrition, missing limbs, cut faces, scars all over their bodies, among many other barbarities.

Although I try to explain in as little detail as possible to avoid disgusting anyone, just a summary is already extremely shocking for the vast majority.

Glancing at Saeko and the others, Fenrir took notice of their pale faces and trembling eyes, then turning his gaze to the carnage in front of him and growling softly "Food..."

"..." Blinking as she recovers from her stupor, Rika slings her weapon over her shoulder and sighs wearily "Looks like this was those men's food..."

Closing her eyes for a few seconds, Saeko reopened them with a determined look "What shall we do with them?"

Biting her lips tightly to the point where blood dripped from them, Yuriko clenched her fists and whispered "Look at them... only death will deliver them from that torment."

"I agree with that" Nodding with a solemn face, Rika continued "Their eyes are dead, their wounds are serious and most of them already have pus, it wouldn't be uncommon for them to die in a month at most from disease or the same infections from their wounds"

"There are even girls..." With a hard face, Saeko looked at the 3 girls no more than 12 years old tied on the wall and muttered with difficulty.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

But when Saeko and Yuriko were still looking at the girls, instantaneous gunshots pierced the skull of each woman on the spot, while Rika looked at the corpses silently and lowered her gun.

"W-why did you do that?" looking at Rika in disbelief, Yuriko stammered.

"I know you guys don't have the heart to do this. These women could never recover in their lifetimes and even if we wanted to try to help them, we have no food, no room for them."

"I know you think the same as I do, but I also know it will be hard for you to make these decisions, but under the peaceful life on the island, we forget the hell this world became" Rubbing her hair,

Rika sighed "Keep this as a reminder... the world is not what it used to be and people on the outside should not be trusted"

"Because if we ever let our guard down..." Turning her gaze back to the women, Rika murmured in a deep voice "It would be a miracle if you can commit suicide..." 

"*Sigh*" Closing her eyes with a sad face, Yuriko took a deep breath and ignored the putrid atmosphere, then opened her eyes again and turned to Fenrir "Any other humans?" 

"Mmmm..." Turning his gaze as his ears twitched softly, Fenrir finally shook his head and muttered "No..." 

"Then let's scour all that's left and see if we can find any food or weapons. I doubt the bosses of these people eat human flesh like they do" Looking at Fenrir's back for a moment, Saeko turned to the hallway and commented. 

"Let's go" With a last glance towards the corpses, Rika turned around along with Yuriko, while Fenrir stared at the slender backs of the 3 women. 

"Grrr..." Grunting softly, Fenrir completely ignored the corpses and followed the girls. 

The rest of the journey continued relatively normally. Dirt was everywhere but the captain's quarters were a true jewel, literally put. 

Large amounts of jewelry and a few blocks of gold littered the place, while the walls were littered with cans of food. 

Meat, beans, fruits, in general, varied food and obviously still in good condition thanks to its sealing. 

As for weapons, the group did not fare too well, as it seems they really took everything usable to the island and hopefully left a few knives behind. 

So after having loaded everything useful to the boat, Rika timed the boat's departure and ran quickly to her small boat, while Fenrir didn't even bother about the considerable additional weight and rowed without any problem.

Because it doesn't cost me anything to make everything more detailed, but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that it would only be worthless filler, something not very pleasant for anyone. Grounding the boat on the shore, Rika watched the ship slowly drifting away in the distance and commented "It will most likely end up crashing somewhere off the shores of the city." 

"I just hope it explodes in the process" Muttering in disgust, Yuriko got off the boat and sat down on the warm sand, while her face that usually always has a motherly or peaceful smile on it, changed to a tired and visibly affected one. 

Thinking for a few seconds, Fenrir got off the boat and walked towards Yuriko under the silent gaze of Rika and Saeko, then sat behind her and wrapped her in his arms. 

"Yuriko... sad... Fenrir... sad" Resting his head on the woman's shoulder, Fenrir murmured softly. 

Looking down at the arms wrapping around her stomach, Yuriko blinked dazedly for a few seconds, then chuckled softly and placed her hands on Fenrir's "Thank you... I appreciate your concern." 

"The pack protects itself... like a human family... Yuriko... is my pack..."   

"Thank you..." Resting her head on Fenrir's chest, Yuriko murmured softly as she closed her eyes, finally feeling the reassurance even she didn't know she needed. 

"..." Observing the small scene, Rika chuckles and comments towards Saeko "Fenrir may not know how to speak very well and may be somewhat slow in human relations, but deep down he's quite the seducer." 

Rolling her eyes as a sour feeling grows in her, Saeko asks "Shall we tell the girls what we saw?" 

"Mmmm..." Frowning slightly, Rika replied "I don't know.... Kiriko should be fine, even Yuuki, but Rei, Saya and Shizuka are very soft... there could be conflicts because of how we did things..." 

"I think they should know" With a serious face, Saeko continued "This world became even more cruel than it was, and just seeing what happened inside that ship, I can imagine what must happen in the rest of the world... it would be dangerous for the girls to still maintain naivety and thanks to that make the mistake of trusting someone who comes from outside the island" 

"It could happen..." Nodding with understanding, Rika sighed "I'll talk to them privately, don't worry." 

"Well-" Cutting off her words as she felt arms gently wrap around her, Saeko turned her gaze to her back and was pleasantly surprised to see Fenrir looking at her with a small smile "M-master?" 

"Saeko... sad?" Pressing his cheek to Saeko's, Fenrir whispered softly. 

Blushing as she felt Rika's teasing gaze, Saeko practically melted into Fenrir's embrace and whispered shyly "No master, I'm happy." 

"Yes?"  

"Mn, very happy" Smiling softly, Saeko closed her eyes and murmured. 

"Fenrir happy" Rubbing her cheek with Saeko's, Fenrir whispered.

"And that was the summary of what happened" Forming a circle in the middle of the room, Rika looked at everyone and finished talking about everything that happened today the ship. 

The atmosphere was heavy and tense. The girls' faces were pale while even Yuriko looked sick at the memory. 

But despite Rika talking about how she killed all the women, no one blamed her for it as she would have expected. 

"I guess it was to be expected..." Leaning back on the ground, Saya muttered, "When laws go down the drain and society collapses, it wouldn't be uncommon for people to be driven by their baser instincts..." 

"I never thought it would come to that point" Showing a completely different attitude than usual, Shizuka added seriously, while her face looked quite sad about everything that had happened "If you think about it.... even though we don't have many sources of entertainment and the food has to be regulated... this island is a real paradise" 

"That's why now we will have to be careful and increase security" Nodding, Rika continued "We will create several traps around the forest and it's vital that you remember them all, we wouldn't want our own people to get hurt because of that." 

"What kind of traps?" With a thoughtful face, Saya asked. 

"There are several kinds, I learned how to make them in the army. They may not be quite lethal and with large groups they're almost useless, but it will certainly slow them down and give us more time to act." 

"We could also create some mechanism that makes noise for when they get close enough" Turning her gaze to the window, Yuriko added.
