The surroundings were very dark, and an illustrious man who was still not aware of where he was was floating like a ghost of white light. He felt like the ground had disappeared alongside gravity.
It was a dark environment filled with nothing but an empty void.
Still, he couldn't help but feel curious about where he was and how he arrived there until a ringing noise alerted him.
After turning around to look behind him, he was met with a bright blue screen that started to explain his situation.

Although it was still dark, Dio felt the need to no longer be afraid because he felt he knew what would happen.
After making sure there was no one around, Dio let out a scream of absolute joy. Since he confirmed that there was no danger, Dio couldn't stop thinking about what this place was.
As a wealthy adolescent, Dio became an avid watcher of anime due to feeling disconnected from his family. He had to experience the cold and hard world since childhood because of nonstop testing from his family as an only child.
He remembered his latest birthday was when he turned 19 years old. He was a very outstanding person in the eyes of others because of his rich family and high grades. Dio, who grew up with anime and manga as a motivation for working hard, knew what kind of situation he was experiencing.

Dio was shocked that the system was being so strict. He was glad he was given JoJo and Part 1 to start his journey, but he was confused with the character selection. Dio decided to wait for more without moving on because he was getting far too excited.

'Alright I have to choose Dio Brando, us having the same name was the reason why I started JoJo anyway.' He said in his mind, trying to send the message to the screen through some sort of telepathy.
Dio decided on choosing Dio Brando for many obvious reasons, like his strength, but the main reason he decided on it was due to the potential he had. As an avid reader of manga and watcher of anime, he knew that Dio could go beyond "heaven". He was also the only person that could be recalled to hold the power of two powerful stands.
Dio Brando's stand The World and Jonathan Joestar's stand The Passion were among the greatest stands. Of course, he also knew that Part 1 Dio Brando worked hard for the power he finally received. It took about a century of practicing for Dio to become such a famous JoJo antagonist.

Suddenly, the room burst with light as many panels appeared in Dio's face. Each panel decided his future growth paths in the new world. Dio was glad that the preset reincarnation choices were in line with his desires.
He desired to explore the story of JoJo and become a godly being by using the full potential Dio Brando possessed. He wanted the protagonists to feat his strength, but most of all he wanted to prove that plot armor could not save every hero in a storybook.
As Dio was scanning his eyes over the possible augmentations, he came across many things which caused his brain to go into overdrive. He realized now that there were many restrictions if power was to be gained, and to become a powerful existence, he would need to also receive weaknesses in return for a blessing.
