Chapter 1 - Reincarnated

"Come on! Get up!" Someone shouted

Gunshots and explosions were heard everywhere. I'm lying on the front line with a gunshot wound on my chest while hiding behind a wall.

"Ugh! It hurts, I can't move. Leave me alone here Zin, I'll give you some time to retreat" I said

"Enzo! We have to move, now!" said Zin

"I can't, I almost lost consciousness from losing so much blood." I said

"Dammit" said Zin

Zin searches for radio devices

"Commander, the target location is a trap. We were surrounded by a lot of enemies. We need reinforcements now!" said Zin talking to the radio

"Roger that. Alpha team immediately exits the target location to the north and defends. Reinforcements will arrive in about 1 hour. Commander replied on the radio"

"But sir, we are surrounded! We cant-" said Zin talking to the radio

Suddenly the radio return static noise

"Dammit, is it EMP?" said Zin

There are explosions all around us, it seems the enemy is attacking us with grenades.

"Ugh! We have to move, now!" said Zin

"I can't mov-" I said while coughing

I coughed up blood, I knew that I couldn't hold on any longer. Zin also looked at me with a sad and furious face.

"Get out of here Zin, don't worry about me." I said while coughing

"I'm not gonna left you behind, we have to-" said Zin

Suddenly, a grenade was thrown by the enemy and fell right beside me. Quickly, I pushed Zin and covered the bomb with my body.

"NO, ENZO!" said Zin

I closed my eyes, waiting for my death. I know that I won't survive anyway. After 4 years of relentless war, I think this is the end of my life.

I keep waiting, but why can't I feel anything? I opened my eyes and saw Zin and everyone stopped

"What is this? Why is everyone frozen in time?" I said while confused

"Humans" said someone

"What?" I said

I was confused, someone called me. However, I heard a sound but the sound seemed to go straight into my brain. I'm alert and look around.

"Don't worry human, I came in peace" said someone

Suddenly, the sky is shattered like glass. An entity appears from the sky, had a transparent pitch-black entire body, and a glowing red crystal right in the center of his chest. He came closer to me.

"I am Sah, god of Astral Plane." said Sah

"A god?" I said

I was very surprised. Everyone was somewhat frozen in time and an unknown entity that calls itself a god appeared. I never knew something like this existed, maybe he really is a god. It doesn't matter, I died anyway.

"I died, right?" I said

"Look behind you." said Sah

I looked back and saw myself lying on the floor with a grenade right in front of my body

"T-That's me!" I said while surprised

"Yes, that is you" said Sah

"But how?" I said

"The flow of time stopped, and I drew your soul before your death." said Sah

I was right, time has stopped. And now I'm a soul? Is this what happens when you die? And didn't he say my fate has changed?

"I see, are you going to take me to the afterlife?" I said

"There is no afterlife, The circle of life doesn't end here" said Sah

"W-What do you mean?" I said while confused

"Let's put that aside, your fate has changed. Something happened, and I need your help." said Sah

A god is asking for my help?

"My help?" I said

"When you are at war with each other, the universe changes slowly." said Sah

"The universe is changing?" I said

"Yes, I will show you" said Sah

Sah's hand gripped the sky as if the sky was in his grasp. His hand emitted a hint of light, and the sky split apart. From within the split, outer space is visible.

"Whoa~" I said while surprised

"Come on, I'll take you to see what's going on with the universe" said Sah

It looks like a portal. Sah pulled my soul through the portal. As I pass through the portal, I can see a universe that stretches out to infinity.

When we pass through a portal, we see a star that emits red light. The star travels slowly but its light beam is very bright, brighter than any other star.

"I've never seen a star emitting such a red light." I said

"It was not a star, looks closely" said Sah

What does he mean? When I looked at the star closely, I realized that it wasn't a star. It was a large red crystal, emitting a bright red light.

"What's that? It looks so different from the other stars." I said

"An unknown element, Valiant" said Sah

"Valiant?" I said

"Right. This unknown element came from nowhere and spread throughout the universe. This element scatters tiny essence particles that cause a change in the layout of the solar system." said Sah

"How come?" I said

"I don't know, but the goddess of knowledge definitely knows why this happened. What you see right now is only a small part of the valiant element." said Sah

"Something as small as this would not greatly affect the universe. but do not underestimate this element. This elemental essence particle possessed great power, an unknown power that is strong enough to harm a planet." said Sah

Insane, there is an element that can destroy a planet. However, this might be related to my changing fate?

"I see, is this related to my fate?" I said

"Yes, you will be reincarnated into a world where the Valiant element will land. I need you to seal or destroy that element." said Sah

"I see. But, how do I seal or destroy that element?" I said

Sah's hand pierced my chest and seemed to hold the core of my soul. I feel nothing but, my soul began to emit a very bright light. My body feels like it's absorbing something. The light is starting to fade, and I feel a little strange.

"I have given your blessing right in your soul. To use this power, there is no need to activate the god mark." said Sah

"God's mark?" I said

"You will be sent to a world called Slyrith. Ah, you will also be accompanied by someone there. She will be your guide in that world. If you have any questions, you can ask her. " said Sah

"I see, when will I be reincarnated?" I said

"Now, you have 15 years before Valiant lands on that world" said Sah

"Are you ready?" said Sah

My soul started to emit a golden color light.

I hurriedly ran out of the forest while activating my skill.

Thanks to these two skills, I can move faster. I keep running towards the outside of the forest. But Fenrir was able to catch up with me easily. Fenrir pulled out his claws to hit me

But suddenly Fenrir looked directly at me and pulled out his claws

I was preparing to dodge but, suddenly. A red crystal pierced us from above. The ground around us cracked from the impact. It all happened so fast, we didn't realize this Valiant crystal was coming.

Fenrir sounded in pain because he was stabbed right in the chest. I also lost a lot of blood because this Valiant crystal stabbed me right in the stomach. The two of us fell to the ground with the Valiant crystal piercing our bodies.

"S-Shit, Isn't this a Valiant?" I said while coughing blood

Suddenly Vasilissa appears with teleportation magic

"Enzo?!" said Vasilissa

Vasilissa looked surprised and came over to check on me.

"[Ultimate Heal], hold on for a while Enzo." said Vasilissa

To calm things down, Vasilissa tried to keep talking to me so I wouldn't lose consciousness. Vasilissa looked at my magic firearm case.

"Did you buy a new magic firearm?" said Vasilissa

"That's right, the weapon I bought is a demonic weapon. It has a dense black mist around it" I said

Vasilissa looked surprised and took the magic firearm case to see the weapon

"You are very lucky, there is still a way to save you." said Vasilissa

"Then I believe in you, Vasilissa" I said

Vasilissa nodded and began to cast a spell on the weapon. The demonic weapon turned into a pitch black mist.

"Here it is, Will O' The Wisp. This elemental soul has the ability of Semi-immortality. Enzo, I'll combine this with you. It will hurt, but hold on" said Vasilissa

Vasilissa started chanting a spell, and my body felt very hot. The black mist started to enter me, and my right hand started to turn into a pitch black color. The Valiant Crystal that pierced my stomach also began to be absorbed into my body.

My body starts emitting red light. This hurts so much, I feel like I'm absorbing something big and my body can't handle it. Most of the Valiant crystals cracked and fused with my body, while some were still in Fenrir's body. Suddenly a red crystal horn grew from my head, which was a little big.

"Damn it, Valiant's elemental power is being absorbed. Concentrate all your mana in the core of your body and activate God's Mark" said Vasilissa

I tried to follow what Vasilissa told me in this intense pain, and I managed to activate my God's Mark.

"Good job Enzo, I'll finish this quickly." said Vasilissa

The Valiant crystal started to crack and split in two, some of the crystals were still pierced inside me and absorbed into my body. Some of it still pierced Fenrir and the Valiant crystal was also absorbed into Fenrir's body.

"I-It worked!" said Vasilissa

The pain started to subside, and I felt different from before. Not only did my right hand turn pitch black and surrounded by a bit of black mist, but also a red horn like a valiant crystal grew on my head.

"I-I feel different" I said

"Well, you just got a semi-immortal body. Then your right hand which turned into a chaos hand due to its side effects also turned you into a chaos human. And you even absorbed the power of the Valiant, look at the horns on your head. As long as you can control all those powers you will be fine. So, for the next few weeks we will learn to master all these powers." said Vasilissa

"Thanks Vasilissa, but what about this Fenrir?" I said

"Looks like this Fenrir survived, and just like you. Valiant was also absorbed into his body. We better get out of here before he wakes up." said Vasilissa

Suddenly Fenrir wakes up and roars

"We have to stop it" I said

Fenrir roars and shoots fire from inside his mouth. I ran to dodge the fire attacks while looking for my weapon.

"I will help you" said Vasilissa

"<Arcane Magic: Ultimate Chains>" said Vasilissa

Suddenly a chain appears from a portal and binds Fenrir tightly

"I'll hold it back" said Vasilissa

"Wait, where is my magic firearm?" I said

"Your magic firearm was damaged by the impact of the valiant crystal" said Vasilissa 

My magic firearm has been destroyed huh? Wait a minute, didn't that demonic weapon get into my hands? 

"How can I summon that weapon from my hand" I said

"The demonic weapon?" said Vasilissa

"Yes" I said

"Concentrate your Mana into your hands and turn that Mana into energy. Shape it into a weapon you want" said Vasilissa

I concentrated all my Mana in my hands and turned it into energy. Then imagine the weapon I need. My body started emitting red colored light and black mist. A sword appeared from within my hand just as I imagined. A sword that is completely covered in red crystal, like Valiant.

"Enzo, hurry!" said Vasilisa

I immediately slashed Fenrir with the sword in my hand. Looks like the wound I gave Fenrir is deep, Fenrir looks in pain. The attack I gave was so strong that the magic chain that Vasilissa created was also broken.

"Keep attacking him, I will block his movement" said Vasilissa

Fenrir roared and his body emitted a crimson-colored light into the sky. Red horns grew on Fenrir's head like mine. Each roar summoned an extremely powerful shockwave.

"Ugh, this is really strong." said Vasilissa

Vasilissa started chanting a spell again

"<Abyssal Magic: Ultimate Barrier>" said Vasilissa

A black barrier appears and protects me from the shockwave. Fenrir shoots fire all over the ground, while running into the forest.

"The forest will burn, I will chase it" I said

"No, Enzo. You have not fully controlled your strength, your body will not be able to withstand the impact of the power that is in your body." said Vasilissa

I tried to break the barrier that was around me. The barrier shattered easily, so I quickly chased after the Fenrir.

"Wait, Enzo!" said Vasilissa

However, when I reached the forest. I only found footprints with the fire still burning, continuing to lead me into the forest. I continued to follow Fenrir's footprints, until... The entire forest was scorched, and Fenrir seemed to just disappear.

"I lost track of Fenrir, I will go for a while to check the surroundings"
