Hey guys! It's me, Pyotr.
I'm writing this because I think the project "Hunter's Stigma" will need some reworking from my part. You see, I was initially gonna be writing something inspired on "Stray Cat Strut" since I read a few chapters and got really interested on how the setting could be explored, but it seems I ended up just copying more than half of the stuff into a story with lower quality and nearly nothing original.
The project will remain, but I think I will be starting from scratch again. The previous chapters will be renamed as "Preview" or "Extra" chapters and I will be updating the story's description, tags, setting, main enemy and probably going to remake the premise into something a little more original.
I know you guys don't really comment a lot but, if you could, I would like for you to leave any tips or ideas you may want to see in the story going forward from here. Chapter 1 will officially drop a few hours after this notice, or maybe an entire day after, but it will be here shortly, if you prefer to just wait for that to happen before dropping this or anything.
That will be all, I believe! To summarize, I don't really enjoy straight up copying someone else's work so I will be remaking this project from scratch. That'd be all, take care and remember that I am inside your walls, love you!
I was enjoying it but if you think that you can make it even better then I eagerly await the rewrite
Thank you for the kind words, I will definitely try my best to improve this story so you can enjoy it even more
I was just about to start it and now I see this hahaha. Well, I only got to read the first chapter so I'm a bit lost in the changes that could be made, but at least I can say a couple of things taking advantage of the fact that I know Stray cat well.
First of all, a good thing would be if you are going to put an enemy, called aliens, mutants created on earth, or whatever. The only thing you shouldn't do is make them like plants. Other than that, you're in a safe zone. Well, you can use the well-known zerg-style "locust plague" or a parasite type, and in that case, there are microscopic parasites or fungi like Ophiocordyceps as called "zombie fungus", and from there you can create an infinity of different enemies since they can be monsters themselves that arrive on the planet or an infection that alters existing animals.
The second thing. In a Cyberpunk environment, the most difficult thing is the world itself. Technological advances and changes regarding that futuristic environment compared to our modern era. In a nutshell, it's looking for where "improvements" can be made and where they should stay the same, up to a point. Especially things like how damaged is the planet at the moment. Have cities been built up, or down? Here you can play with it a lot and do it like Stray cat, with cities built on top of the old ones, or you can do it like Zaun from League of Legends, a complete city that survives thanks to another much more prosperous city on top of it in which they are constantly in a tense peace.
Third. I'd prefer something that you can tell apart from things like Cyberpunk, but that's fine to imitate. For example, bodily enhancements in "sexual themes." This is an environment where futanari can be created naturally, and where gender changes are also very easy to do, so there are a huge amount of colorful characters that can be made. I even recommend "copying" Rebecca a bit.
Fourth. The hardest thing, I think, is where you want the story to go. If what you really want is to tell something that has a clear beginning and end, or if you start with something, tell the day-to-day, good and bad events, romances, and as a whole, see where it leads while enjoying the ride.
And finally, the characters themselves. How do they see the world? How eager are you to be part of the leading environment? Kat at first didn't really like the fact that she has to be part of the "famous samurais", but she grew fond of that over time. So you can take a similar approach, or make your protagonist someone who doesn't want that kind of environment at all, and work entirely in the shadows, or go all-in from the start, and have her be greedier. Each of those options creates different growth issues for the character, so you can sit back and think about which way you want them to go.
Honestly i liked a lot of what you were doing, the enemies were done well, they where a more random/constant threat to the character's/world then SCS's and the typing/tier system you had for them was ok just needed a bit more info or fleshing out.
The only thing i realy did'nt like was the AI, im not a fan of them or a sentient one kinda did'nt need her, having the MC struggle with being alone and under constant threat is a good way for chcaracter development i kinda feel the AI got in the way of that and solved it for the MC.
Maybe have the system unlock new info on enemies the more she kill's , survives or hunts kinda like some games do.
Got it! Thanks for the tips friend
Understood, good luck
You can make it so that there is no AI. Instead of fantasy world adventure make it a post apocalyptic cyberpunk adventure(going to fallen cities and scavenging or hunting). Make her close combat (sword/katana wielding I feel most of the sword wielder mc's novels out there are boring as hell and the good ones are usually something not this weapon). Also make the MC someone who is reluctant to get cyberware's due to bad experiences with them but gets over it and only gets what is needed. A ruthless dictator who practically betrayed humanity to aliens just so he could rule(turns out to be MC's {plot twist} ).
All really interesting points, I will keep them in mind
