As I woke up. I was already at the grass patch where I originally came from. Looks like Sab and gang all carried us using the cart all the way back to the entrance.

"Oh, you're awake now., how are you feeling."

"Yea, I'm feeling a lot better. My body is still kinda sore."

As I turned my head around trying to figure out where the rest of the human went.

Trek noticed the intention and said:

"I placed the other humans back in your world, a location where others could find him easily."

"You have my thanks," I replied.

Realizing that my mask was not on my face, I turned around trying to find it.

Luck exclaimed: "The Mask was so cool. It suddenly disappears and now it's here. I took good care of it, am I a good girl? Am I?"

She took out a miniature mask Keychain and hand it back to me.

I took the Keychain, smiled at her, and replied:

"Yes you are a good girl, thank you."

Luck beamed up like a light bulb and smiled to herself.

I noticed the spirit turtle was still around.

It must have been waiting for me to wake up.

It flew to me and pressed its head against my hand, probably as a way to say thank you, and flew back to the portal.

Luck asked: Where turtle going?

"It should be with its owner now," Sab replied.

"So what are you guys going to do now."

"We're going to rebuild the town, from scratch." Trek confidently replied.

"After we held a funeral for the fallen ones behind the hill."

Sab and Trek both bowed to me and said:

"Once again, thank you very much."

I nodded and returned their father's spear back to them.

As I turned my head in the direction of the portal.

Something was tugging my shirt. It was Luck.

"Please don't go." She said while holding her tail.

Sab and Trek tried to stop their adoptive sister from disturbing their savior. But the child was very insistent.

This made it very hard to just leave. As she starts to cry and throw tantrums. A voice appeared in my head.

[Thou wot thou aye join back right?]

"Huh?"

[Thou could return to this ground at any point.]

"Won't the Portal disappear?"

[It looks stable for now, with no signs of collapsing anytime anon.]

[I should be able to move the gate itself 'i the near future.]

"You can move an entire portal?"

[Only if thou get stronger to withstand mine power.]

I grumbled in response while Ryong just did a burst of hearty laughter.

I bend on one knee, stroke Luck's hair, and said:

"I'll come back every once in a while ok. Be a good girl and listen to your brothers, ok?"

Luck sniffles and rubs her eyes and gave a subtle nod, while the two kobold brothers just giggle and laugh at the back.

I turned my back, I head towards the portal and just before stepping in completely, I muttered:

"See you soon."

And poof I went in.

When I came out, the moon was already shining brightly through the old faculty.

"Couple of days inside that weird place, and it looks like it has only been a few hours outside."

I hurriedly make an anonymous phone call to the police saying that I found the missing people, and left the scene to go and have a shower back in my room.

"If the spirit animal is gone from their human host. What happens?"

[It would mean that the human would no longer receive a spirit's benison, making 'em moe comptible when it comes to encountering the unnatural.]

"Benison?"

[In thou's words, a blessing.]

"Can't they just get a new one?"

[I be not sure.]

"So where's my animal spirit?"

[Tho didn't hast one, that's why 'twere easier having thou as a vessel.]

"Pretty unlucky for me, I guess."

With that, a week after the incident passed by.

Things returned to slightly normal. With the occasion [Ho], [Hm], and [I see] from Ryong as he explored my current normal school life as a Keychain.

At least that is what I thought.

After a long day of lessons.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Yes?"

I asked while I opened my door.

The person suddenly throws a handcuff on my wrist and pinned me to the ground.

"Sir, you are under arrest for the kidnapping of the 3 victims"

I looked up, seeing a badge waved at my face.

"You have the right to remain silent."

"Anything you say can and will be used against you in court..."

As the police officers were reciting the Miranda law.

I took Ryong(The Keychain) and hit it in my pockets.

Pulling up at the police station. The guards emptied out all the items on my body. Including my phone, Wallet, and Ryong (Keychain.)

As I was held in the investigation room

They started to question me about where I was during these days and times and started questioning if I have an alibi for those dates.

The reason why I was pinned as the main suspect was due to one of the victim's clothes had my fingerprint marks and blood all over it.

But the one that makes them so certain that I was the culprit was because the victim said that she briefly saw my face when I was lying down on a supposed grass field.

I cursed at myself and Ryong for removing the mask and turning it into a Keychain.

I tried explaining that I was the one who found them in the building but because no one else saw it that night, there was no alibi.

These went on for 1-2 hours. I sighed briefly, looking at the lamps and thinking to myself.

The phrase what goes around comes around really doesn't apply to me, what did I do to deserve this?

*Sob.*

[Ryong's POV]

Ahem, although Red, did ask to change my manner of speech. Changes never happen immediately. So doth be mindful of mine speech.

The base lad canst not seem to take a break from unnecessary trouble.

I kinda feel pity for him.

Just then, something is approaching hither at a rather fast speed.

It looks like it hath a ton of energy as well.

As someone slowly walks through the front door.

She took out a talisman and muttered:

"O spirit of the wind, allow my target to sleep with a blissful dream."

One by one the Policeman in the precinct starts to sleep.

Charging by the way the spell in invoked and the talisman used. The lady is most belike using Onmyoudo, an Onmyouji.

Maybe one in training under a Master specializing in Spirit Master.

Why did I say that? Well because, looks like the Okami beside her is ready to rip something soon.

Not just that, another mana use is also looking at the situation from above, planning to strike as well.

What have could thou hast done to get yourself in trouble with these people now, Red?
