(Page, Liberna)

As Wren fussed over Dexter, Page locked eyes with every person that dared stare at them.

“A woman in a Guardian uniform?”

“It’s that whore-”

She spun around to fix her glare on the gossiping men. When they fell silent she turned back to Wren, “Let’s go guys!”

Wren didn’t look up from forcibly inspecting Dexter’s bloody chin and elbows. “We have to treat Dexter’s injuries.”

Dexter tried to throw Wren’s hands off him, unsuccessfully. “I’m fine.”

“You are not!”

Page put her hands on her hips. “Wren stop acting like his mom. If he says he’s fine than he’s fine.”

Wren let Dexter go so suddenly he stumbled and almost fell over. Wren glared at Page, his lips pressing into an annoyed pout.

“Page!” Dexter leapt at her, wrapping his arms and legs around her body.

“Hey! Quit it! You’re going to get blood on my uniform!” Page wriggled her arms out of his hug and started to peel him off. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Jardin glancing around and squirming under the scrutiny of strangers. “Come on guys!” Nahilla and her brother are waiting for us!”
