Alex eventually chose a spot between the wildspire waste and the ancient forest that was full of hard stones and plants for his new house. In that spot he began to clear out all the jagged stones by melting them together into a dense strong glass with his fire. He made sure that this bottom layer of floor was several feet deep to support his weight without issue but in order to do this he needed to melt the earth before allowing it to cool in a solid slab of material that was a pretty mix of volcanic stone and glass.-

Once the foundation of his new nest was set Alex went around the wildspire area to collect the exposed part of the metal nodes into a huge pile of metal. He then began to melt that metal over his foundation so that he had a nice smooth floor for his bedding. This proved to be a wise idea as the foundation had a lot of cracks and rough edges along it's surface that the molten metal covered and filled. Once the metal cooled Alex was left with a huge circle of shiny smooth metal and most importantly it was flat.

He then flew around the area and grabbed large stones regardless of shape and began to place them around the circles outside edge in a stacked wall with lots of gaps. He carefully made sure that the stone walls rose high up above his head so that he didn't need to worry about his size proving to be a problem. After that he went to one of the plateaus in the waste and carved out a very large flat piece of stone that he used as the roof of his new nest.-

Such a heavy object however pressed down on the loosely fit together stones under it causing them the crack and compress together. Alex had known this was going to happen however and used the weight to hold the stones in place as he filled the gaps in the stones with the nearby fertile swamp mud like a strange cementing paste. Gently blowing flames unto the mud caused it to dry reinforcing the stones slightly. That wasn't the true purpose of the mud however as Alex then planted healing herbs and flowers into the now dry soil. Releasing his elder aspect from within the structure caused the plants to immediately begin to take root and truly hold the structure together.-

Soon the roots were intertwined in the mud between the gaps in the stones as well as all over the surface of the stones firmly holding the entire structure together while also making it pleasant to look at from the outside. Alex then added the final touch to the new building by redirecting a part of the river that flowed between the two biomes to flow around his new nest watering the plants as well as leaving a source of clean water easily available.-

All that was left at that point was to wait for the preparations to deal with the fallout of his clash with Safi jiiva to be finished. While that was going on Alex hunted down some more soft and fluffy monsters for their hides to be used as his bedding as his previous amount wasn't enough any more. Zane , the handler and the admiral all came to check out his new nest and besides the handler all admitted to being jealous at how nice it was. Sure it was rather simple in design but it was cozy and filled with nothing but the softest bedding since Alex's huge body took up quite a lot of space.-

The funny part was that the admiral directly had the builders of astera help him create a smaller version next to Alex's since it was perfect for him in his opinion. This started a  bit of a trend amongst the hunters used to more primitive living conditions to do the same. This caused Alex's single huge nest to be surrounded by nearly a dozen smaller versions of itself that all had water flowing between them like some sort of miniature primitive venice.
