The next couple of days went by with Ichigo and Orihime spending more quality time together after school thanks to their training. The progress of Orihime regarding increasing her spiritual power was slow compared to Ichigo so she was taking her time with it and helps Ichigo practice his Bakudo on her after her training.

During these two days Ichigo’s proficiency with the Bakudo spell ‘Sai’ had increased quite rapidly thanks to Orihime’s efforts in helping him but because of this a somewhat strange air started being formed between the two whenever they used to practice the technique.

Orihime with her innocent mind was unable to feel what exactly it was but Yoruichi with her 100s of years of experience could easily sense that it was sexual tension in the budding stage which was being developed between the two slowly and steadily.

After dropping Orihime home like usual he went back home. While climbing the stairs to reach his room he heard Isshin’s voice from below “We’ll be leaving early tomorrow morning so be sure to wake up if you don’t want me to kick your ass like before,”

“Leaving?...” Ichigo said to himself in doubt which was soon answered by his memories which reminded him that tomorrow was June 17th, Ichigo’s mother’s death anniversary.

The next day Ichigo helped his two little sisters and father with the packing before they left the house. The journey to the graveyard took them about an hour of walking in the sun which made them covered in sweat by the end of it.

On the way when Yuzu and Isshin were talking to each other Ichigo walked towards Karin and said “Hey Karin if by any chance you see a spirit of a little girl around here, could you tell me first?”

“Hmm? What’s this about?” Karin asked clearly confused by Ichigo’s request.

“It’s just that the spirit is dangerous and I don’t want you to approach her out of curiosity,” Ichigo said gravely.

“If you say so…” Karin nodded still a bit unsure of this strange request.

After telling Karin about it Ichigo calmed down a little as he no longer needed to worry about Karin founding the Grand Fisher first and getting hurt by it along with Yuzu.

Ichigo had already figured out how he was going to get rid of Grand Fisher. The plan was quite simple and practical. He was going to use Bakudo #1 on it and then was planning to finish it with his Hado #31. Thanks to Yoruichi he was learning the most practical Kido spells whose uses he was able to find in almost every battle he was facing.

The four of them soon reached Masaki’s tombstone and prayed for her soul together for a few minutes before going to the shrine to make arrangements for their stay there till the evening. After sending their prayers to Masaki it was the family’s ritual to spend their time doing fun activities with each other to show Masaki that they were doing good and that she should rest assured about her family.

Time slowly went by as Ichigo got to spend some quality time with his family whom he had been neglecting for a long time now due to his training. The only time he used to meet them was during meals and that too was shortened by one after he started going to train at Urahara’s place.

It was around four in the evening now and after having the lunch which they had prepared in the morning they all were now relaxing while playing a card game. After a while, Karin left the three of them in the middle of the game to go to the toilet but just a few minutes after she had left Ichigo couldn’t help but had a bad premonition and with the Grand Fisher still outside, he was even more sure about it.

With an excuse of using the toilet as well, he too left quickly and ran towards the toilet which was built a distance away from the shrine.

Through the roads paved in the forested area Karin was currently dancing her way back to the shrine while singing the new pop music that was currently getting famous in her class among the rest of the girls but suddenly she was stopped in her steps when the sound of a girl’s crying entered her ears.

With curiosity taking over her, she slowly walked towards the source of the crying which was not very far from her. After making her way through a few bushes she saw a small girl who was crouching on the ground as she was crying with her back facing Karin.

Karin couldn’t help but have a bad feeling about this and soon after the words that Ichigo had told her in the morning entered her mind. “Don’t tell me she…” Karin whispered to herself but that was enough of a sound to stop the crying child as she turned around to meet Karin’s eyes.

Karin felt an electric jolt run through her body as her eyes met with the emotionless eyes of the girl. Without thinking of anything else she turned around and started running back towards the shrine while gasping for air.

Seeing this a smile slowly formed on the little girl’s face as she said to herself “Since you want to run let’s run.” As she finished saying that her figure disappeared soon after, this was followed by the appearance of Grand Fisher’s hollow body which jumped towards the direction Karin was running towards.

While running away from the girl, after a while Karin looked back to check whether the girl was following her or not only to be frightened by a huge black figure in a white scary mask and a blood-curdling smile on its face just a couple of meters behind her.

Unable to control her fear Karin screeched out Ichigo’s name at the top of her lungs as her voice echoed in the surroundings trying its best to find its way towards Ichigo’s ears.

“Isn’t that Karin’s voice?” Ichigo had just entered the forested path and heard Karin’s screech before sprinting towards her. The figure of the terrified Karin about to be grabbed by Grand Fisher’s claws soon entered his sight.
