With the battle being lengthy sometimes, it has reached noon, 10:30 to be precise, we're given a 30 minute break, as all fighters and spectators have now become hungry and thirsty

The cafeteria is your usual one, a big area, with curving glass windows that reach the ground and roof to show the outside forest, many tables and food selections to have, some noble demon child screaming at the chef, only to be kicked out of the cafeteria... 

Oh, there's the Neko, she's... Or is it He? Anyway, she has quite a quirky magic, summoning Cats and big Cats' paws to use as a weapon is... Interesting, especially that big cat paw attack... Sadly, she lose, I could understand why though, that Tomboy girl literally zoom past her magic

More like, most people here don't fight like your traditional mage and such... All of them would rather punch people with their fists that are being covered by magic

Then again, it is a MAGIC class, not a mage class, you just need to be able to use magic to get in I reckon

Also, it is funny how the Tomboy Phoenix doesn't really want to hurt Niko, so she opted to make her surrender by scratching her a bit and dodging all of her attacks, which hurt her more by doing bigger emotional damage if the teary eyes is of any indication, which in turn, deal a massive emotional damage towards the Phoenix

I'm currently sitting down inside a cafeteria, I sit in a four-person seat because all the table here is the big circle one... I would be fine and happy if not for the stare that's preying on me like a hawk

Please... Save me... This cat cannot handle those eyes that are filled with the desire to cuddle and Pat!! 

As I'm about to start looking for a hole to dive into, I spot Arisu-sama walking towards me with two trays of food, one is filled with meat, another is with an assortment of food which includes veggies, meat, and rice

"Mreow!"

I Quickly zip toward her and grab my tray as I tried to hide by blocking the viewer's sight with Arisu-sama's legs

"H-hey? What's up?"

"Mreow"

I sneakily point at the crowds of stares, Arisu-sama giggle in response, telling me that they meant no harm

"They just wanted to cuddle you because you're so cute~~"

Yea, cuddle me to death that is! I'll never trust their eyes!! And stop pinching my cheek! 

We're back to our seats and we began eating our lunch, of course, I'm eating on top of the table with my whole being on it because of how high the table is

I mean... I'm smol after all

Although I love my meat fill tray... Eating only meat will make a pretty bland lunch, so I... stole some veggies from Arisu-sama

"Mei! That's my food!"

"Mreah *Munch-Munch*"

Your fault to just assume I'll eat all that meat, one meat or two is delicious, but three and four in a row is bland

I pick up a slice of meat and as I'm about to eat it, Arisu-sama stole some of the meat that's on my tray

"Mreow!"

"Hump! Payback!"

Oh, you're on!

And so, began the food thief war, while some people in the cafeteria watch on with interest

I'm currently eating a bountiful of cooked meat, drenched in blood, as I watch a show some table away... A girl and her summon, fighting and stealing each other's food

You two could just trade... But then again, who am I to judge someone's pride?

The summon, a small orange humanoid cat, seem to have the upper hand, the cat's dexterity and speed is quite amazing to behold, I took another bite of my food as I heard the sound of a tray hitting my table

"Couldn't you be quieter?"

"Sorry, I got distracted for a moment there"

With brown hair, covered by an orange and white theme with a maid apron, in front of me stood my best friend and maid, Luna, she's been with me since I'm a kid, while everyone else stayed far away from me in fright because of my blood colors eyes, she's the only one that actually tries to befriend me, yes, she's a frightened little mess the first time we meet, but as time goes by, she has gotten used to it

 And this academy certainly is a great one, for it does not discriminate, doesn't matter if I'm actually a vampire or not, so long as I stayed on the line with being a good citizen, I'll be treated as one of their own... And being able to have a stable supply of blood to drink to my heart content is a great bonus to it, seriously, I especially love the Iron turtle's blood

I open up my phone and search my Miup to see if there's any news in the chat group

"Let's see... Group project on the Crafting class, right... Ugh, when will they decide on what to make? The two of us are not even in the same group..."

"Well... You know how it is Viol-sama, the two of us made a perfect team so... Yea"

You make the perfect team, why don't you try to work with other people other than the one you know, blah blah blah... Thanks... Annoying teacher

Though I'm tempted to bring out what I want to make into the group, I know myself... I'll always be the quiet, skilled kid that everyone will ignore most of the time. . . Not that I could give a good explanation as to why my idea is good, because apparently, it need one

"*sigh* Whatever *Nom* right, I'll go to the temple now, going to pray for a bit"

I walk to the temple, and do my usual business, I have lots of time so there's no need to rush, it's a 30-minute break after all after a while I finished praying just in time for the bell to ring to indicate that the lunch break about to finish, so I walk back towards the back yard

I look around the yard, the teacher is sitting on a white lawn chair with a newspaper on his face, probably having eaten something he pulled out from his top hat, couldn't understand why he bothers to buy newspapers nowadays though... Maybe charity buying stuff...

looking around, the one to arrive first seem to be the duo before, the girl with her summoned cat, I go and found my previous seat, and Luna seat right beside me like usual

Just a couple minutes later, everyone finally arrives, the teacher, Garn, then decides to do his usual shenanigans and start pulling paper for the next battle...

The girl with the cat stands up, leaving her cat behind

A girl with light purple hair in a drill with black and purple as her theme stand up, a smirk decorating her face as she walks towards the arena, probably thinking this'll be an easy and fast battle

"This... Will be interesting"

"I guess it will... *Yawn* Considering one of the fighters is a summoner"

A summoner's greatest weakness is that their maximum amount of mana is decreased according to how much mana their magic beast could own in their body, which is why only mages, people that have huge mana pools, or researcher would dedicate their life to it... It's the reason why a lot of summoners excuse themselves from today's lessons... On the other hand, tamer will need to feed their magic beast a lot in order to recover their energy if you decide to use them outside their usual habits

If you summon a wolf with 100 mana, you'll permanently lose 100 mana unless you unsummon or your summon die, on another hand, tamer needs to feed their beast a lot, if a dragon that usually only eats three sheep then went to sleep is used for battle, it'll become hungry and demand the same amount of energy they spent in the form of feed. . . There's a case where a tamer with their big Steel Fortress Crab has to feed their beast with 1.000 whole sheep worth of foods

The two sides prepare their magic, Filia brings her hand back as a magic circle appears on her hand, filling her hand with a deep blue color, an ocean magic, while Arisu... Summon an earth spear

"Pfft! You think this is the swordsman class, you bumpkin?"

"... I know where my skills lie, so, I'll use said skills rather than letting them dust in the corner"

"Hah! Your loss"

Mr. Garn, seeing the two fighters ready for battle, starts the countdown

"Ready~~?... 3!...2!...1!...START!"

As soon as he finish, Filia fire her magic, shooting a powerful blast of aqua jet towards Arisu, Arisu dodge it by sliding down past it, of course, since the spell is a lazer type, Filia re-aim her magic and whip it towards Arisu, who responded by rapidly creating a layer of earth shield while she's sliding, creating an image of a bulldozer

Each time, the shield is replaced by a new one while the one that's behind got de summon, returning to earth, making the aqua jet unable to even crack one of them

Interesting how she managed to make a moving earth shield by doing something you usually use to attack

Earthen Pillar Wave is a technique that sends a wave of pillar forward, summoning 5 rows of pillars and unsummon the last one to move it to the front, and Arisu manage to somehow turn that into a shield

Seeing this, Filian change her magic circle, she seem to be aiming at the ground, after which she held her arm up where a water geyser appear under Arisu, blasting her off to the sky

Filian then aims, forming another magic circle... Only to get hit by an incoming earth spear on her left shoulder

She put her spear inside the ground and then launch it with a bit of a delay rune when the geyser was about to hit her

Filia manage to steady herself as a spinning vertical kick covered by earth was about to hit her, she manage to block it with both of her arms covered in water in a cross, but the impact is too strong for her, making her bounce back a couple of steps, which she then takes a hit by an earth arm that comes from the ground, right to her stomach

Being flung back by Arisu, Filia form a bubble shield and anchor herself down, which she then duck down to dodge an incoming Mana slash, which destroyed the clumsy shield that she made only for anchoring herself down

"Grrr, that's it!"

Filia, having enough of being thrown around, form a big magic circle behind her and boost herself forward with it and form two water blade on her arm

Arisu took a defensive stance and cover her hand with an earth glove, as the blade hit her glove... Arisu crumbles into dust of earth

"Huh-!?"

Filia then got hit by an earth pillar right on her stomach, making her airborne as Arisu emerge from the ground to reveal herself, with a large, long, earth baseball bat, she struck Filia hard, flinging her outside the arena where she hit a tree

"And Arisu Fyia has won via Ring out!!"

"""OOOOO!!!!""" ""ARISU!!!"" """ARISU! ARISU! ARISU!"""

"Well that was one-sided *Yawn* She probably have mana sight or something"

"Seem like it..."

Nice Golem control, it could even fire off a Mana Slash, though seem like it could only do that once... But it's enough to fool people just so that they'll think it's the real deal

Arisu then walk back toward her seat

"HOLD IT!"

only to be stopped by an angry Filia

"How can a summoner use so much mana!? You're cheating, aren't you!? Is it because your summon enchanted your magic!?"

Arisu just stares at her with a deadpan face while Mr. Garn walks toward Filia while trying to calm her down

"Now now, Miss. Filia, there's no way that's a thing, in fact, that would be a great ability to have that you're allowed to use here, as you know, the banned stuff in these kinds of battles is potion buff, item buff, borrowed magic skills wherever it's from item or someone else... A power-up from your beast will just show how great or lucky of a person you are to manage to get such a beast... In fact, the Summoner Hero, Lance, has this kind of buff from his partner"

"You think that's fair!?"

"Well, they trade their maximum mana amount for said beast, so of course it's allowed"

"You think I would stand about this unfair treatment!? If it's a fine thing to have then I want to see what kind of bullshit ability it has then!"

"Now now, miss. Filia, such info is highly restricted even to one such as I, unless you got Arisu's permission, you're not allowed to see Mei's info panels"

"But there are already people that could see her beast's info with appraisal! What's wrong with one or two more people knowing? You want to be fired for upsetting a Duke daughter and standing up for this lowly honorary Baron!?"

At this point, a lot of people are frowning at Filia's antic, even those that scream like a fanatical fan

Is this girl for real? She's stupid or what? This academy is the kind that does not tolerate discrimination... Guess she's never truly open with it that the teacher never catch her doing the act of discriminating against other

"Of course such a thing is possible, but you don't see people with appraisal yell out other people's info, do you? It is a very~~~ quick road to death by assassinations"

At this point, Filia is fuming with anger while Mr. Garn starts to have a creepy wide smile that I've known him for

There's that small creepy smile I haven't seen in a while... Really, he's not great at keeping his emotions under control... Then again, so is most kids here, good day Filia, it's been not so nice knowing you

As for how I know Mr. Garn well, the first year was being grouped up into classes A, B, C, and so on while the students learned all the basics and found out their weaknesses, in the second year, the students have become individual student, no longer are they being group up, they can choose whichever class they wanted but they must at least choose one... And my homeroom teacher in the first year is Mr. Garn...

I wonder if Filia could make Mr. Garn rage out... Well, this is Garn I'm talking about, so it's pretty obvious that she will

"Grrr! You think I would back down from such threats!? I want you Fire! I'll be talking the principal to fire you!!"

Anddd that's where Mr. Garn snapped

"You'll talk to the principal to fire me just for doing my job, eh?..."

A dark, blue aura start to cover his figure as blue lighting could be seen sparking from time to times

"That's right! Although you're doing your job, you need to realize your position as a teacher! How dare you disrespect me! A Duke daughter!"

"Hah... This is why I hate kids"

"WHAT DID YO-"

"I said. I. Hate. Kids. Deaf ear."

Mr. Garn, then zooms right in front of Filia, where she finally notices Mr. Garn's changing atmosphere

"This academy is a KINGDOM OF ITSELF and is built by The Dimensional Hero King Arthur, why should I accommodate a mere Duke's daughter's whimsical tantrums?"

Mr. Garn then pulls down his sunglasses, revealing the inhuman black eyes that have glowing blue irises, the only reason why he wears sunglasses is because his eyes have a powerful dark vision, and it's a pain to always have to adjust it quickly every time he went under the sun

"Tell me, newborn calf, why should I obey another kingdom's daughter's unnecessary request that went against this kingdom's rule?"

"T-that's"

"You should've been taught, that when in Rome, do as the Rome do it, or did your tiny bird brain forget about it the moment you took three steps outside your comfy zone?"

Mr. Garn then holds Filia by the neck as a form-fitting mana shield comes to cover her body, created by Mr. Garn

"aaaa!.."

"If you can't even follow a simple rule of 'no discrimination' then why don't you go back to where you come from"

Mr. Garn then stretch back his hand that was holding Filia and took a baseball shooting position where he throw Filia out of the academic kingdom, right towards the direction of her kingdom

Welp, there she goes... Like the arrogant idiotic prince last time that landed in his room in his kingdom

"So... Anyone else? No? Good, now then, this seems like a fitting scene to reintroduce you to the school"

Mr. Garn then stand straight like a soldier with his arm out, he make a graceful bow with one of his arms on his back and the other on his chest and in a crisp, cold voice, yelled out the school name... 

"Welcome, to Caliorn Academy"
