They only spent 2 days and a nights at Phuket, which was fun and peaceful

On the first day, Mary together with Carrie and Jennifer went for a massage while the boys went to catch a Muay Thai fight in the Patong Boxing Stadium

They met later on for dinner and went to the Phuket Weekend Market, where they shopped for trinkets and souvenirs

Then they spent the rest of the night bar hopping between the several beach clubs

Retiring in the chalet that Mary rented, they went to their respective rooms

Brandon decided to spend the night with his "mother" Mary as they hugged each other to sleep, dressed in skimpy underwear

Carrie slept with David and Matt, her lovers in the past. But they didn't make love but instead simply groped each other in bed

David was afraid of Jennifer after what happened when they fucked previously, and so she slept alone. But she wasn't lonely as she lay in bed in the nude playing with the trinket that she bought

It was a strange object, made of wood, looking like some sort of puzzle. Jennifer found it fascinating as her invisible tattoos on her body that was a copy of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis tingled and became visible and glowed whenever she touched the object. Suddenly, out of the darkness several chains shot out at her, each with hooks at the end, entering her flesh and pulling her into a spread eagle position

"What... what is going on?" she mumbled as the hooks entered her flesh all over

There were hooks that pulled her mouth open, and there were those that kept her eyes wide open. There were even hooks that splayed her labia open, opening her vagina wide open

And each hook dug into her flesh and seemed to be tearing her flesh apart!

Several beings appeared out of the darkness, each in jet black leather bondage clothes, with their nipples pierced and exposed and their genitalia cut open. Some had needles stuck all over their skull, and their skin all looked a pale, gray colour 

Jennifer screamed in pain as her skin literally tore off her body, leaving her a red, bloody mess with her flesh and sinew exposed. She fell to the floor in pain and her eyes stared at the creature with her eyes unable to close 

The leader of the beings, the one with pins stuck to his head picked up her skin and examined it, reading the glowing words of the necronomicon ex mortis glowing on her skin and picked up the wooden puzzle box that summoned them

"What's going on?" Eric said as he suddenly burst into Jennifer's room

Eric was a newcomer and somewhat of an outsider still, and stayed in another room by himself. He didn't want to share a room with Carrie, David and Matt and he thought it would be too weird to share a room with Mary and Brandon

He certainly didn't want to sleep with Jennifer. Although he thought that she was attractive, she seemed too out of his league

But here she was, skinless and writhing on the floor in pain as several menacing looking beings hovered over her

One of the beings looked at Eric and with his telekinetic powers knocked Eric aside even as Eric tried to attack with his hammer

The ruckus created a loud bang that awoke the other inhabitants in the place

"What's going on?" Matt asked as he appeared with Carrie and David

Another of the beings attacked them with his telekinetic powers, but both Matt and Carrie managed to block the attack with a telekinetic shield of their own

"What! Cenobites?" Mary appeared with Brandon in their underwear

Brandon's eyes glowed and immediately cut one of the cenobites in half

The lead Cenobite grabbed Jennifer's skin and another grabbed Jennifer herself, all naked and skinless

"Fucker" Brandon cursed and attacked him with superspeed, but the leader of the Cenobites blocked him with his telekinetic shield

"Watch out. They're telekinetic" Mary yelled as she attacked the leader, causing him to drop the puzzle box

Another lashed out at Mary, managing to knock her away and the Cenobites gathered and disappeared with Jennifer and her skin, leaving behind only the dead Cenobite that Brandon had killed

The team looked confused and distraught

"A Lament Configuration. Where did Jennifer get one of these?" Mary asked angrily

"Lament what? You mean the wooden puzzle box? She bought it in the night market. She thought it looked cool" Carrie said

"Cool? They are meant to summon the Cenobites from the Labyrinth" Mary said

"What are.. what are Cenobites?" Brandon asked

"I don't know for sure. But they are like denizens of Hell or somewhere similar, that come to Earth to tempt and corrupt humans to become Cenobites like them. They live on the torture and pleasure of their victims. I've met them a few times over the years" Mary said

"Then how do you deal with them?" Matt asked

"You don't. Their victims most times disappear forever, and only on rare occasions they are defeated by their victims" Mary said

"Then... Jennifer..." David said

"I don't know. We just have to hope for the best, and try to get as much information on these.. Cenobites as possible. I've spent quite some time studying about them, but I haven't gotten any useful information about them" Mary said

Mary kept the Lament Configuration and they left Phuket that very night with David teleporting them back to the States

"I will look into the records and see what I can find about the Cenobites and this... Lament Configuration. What will you guys be doing?" Mary asked

"I.. think I might want to travel on my own to discover myself. Unlike you guys, I'm still new to my abilities" Eric said as Mary nodded

"We'll go to see Griffin, another Jumper I know. He has an extensive collection of artifacts, and maybe he will know something" David said with Matt

"You're not going with them?" Mary asked Carrie, knowing that she is lovers of both David and Matt, besides being with Brandon too

"No. I think... Brandon needs me" she said as Brandon stood at the distance, his eyes glowing angrily

Mary nodded and went over to Brandon, giving him a hug to calm him down

She waved the others goodbye and Carrie went to hold Brandon's hand and disappeared into the air

"Well, so much for our fun, training trip" Matt said as he and David shook hands with Eric

Then they both disappeared leaving Eric standing by himself

"Yep, so much for that" he said as he kept his hammer in his jacket

He didn't decided to hitch hike, since using his powers was too conspicuous 

But where the hell was he? He wondered as he looked around the deserted road surrounded by forest
