Friday evening saw Yang out at a club. Dancing and drinking to dubstep. The 21-and-over rule was the reason Weiss turned down Yang's invitation. Thus, Yang was alone. Well, she was at first.

A cute, buzzed, blonde, dancing by herself seemed to attract the attention of some fellas. Her moves had their eyes observing her curves. Mostly two specific parts of her body. Yang wasn't fully aware of this. Long knew some people were staring, but that was from experience.

She was just relieving the stress of college life. Her mind was on the dance floor. Not the man spiking the drink she had left on the counter.

Luckily, someone else did notice. The person grabbed the drink, poured it down the would-be-assaulter's pants, and stood toe to toe with them.

"I'm not very good at fighting." Jaune Arc said, "But I think I'll give kicking your ass a shot."

Like most bullies, all it took was a threat from someone their size for them to show their cowardice.

Alone, he took the seat and signaled the bartender, "Can I get a clean glass please?"

"Wooo!" Yang shouted as a new song began. "This is my shit!"

"Of water," Jaune clarified.

-The Next Morning-

Saturday morning was meant to be a day of sleeping in. Yang had no classes and a cute roommate to dream about. There wasn't supposed to be any reason for her to be up at 7 in the morning. Especially given the mild hangover she had.

But, she needed to be punished. Not only did Weiss have to call Jaune to pick her up. Yang was fully asleep despite the schedule she and Weiss agreed upon. 'Asleep' didn't really do it justice since Weiss was able to fit headphones on Xiao-Long easily. Schnee was more than a little upset with her friend. She was, 'heavy metal' upset.

"GWHAAAAA!" Yang shot up out of bed tearing the headphones off, "What The Hell!?"

Coy, "Oh good. You're awake." Weiss turned the music off. "Get dressed, Winter will be here in an hour."

"It's still March you little—"

"My sister Winter, you big," Weiss stopped and took a breath. Before continuing, she lowered her shoulders, "Yang, I need you to look presentable when my sister, a university alumnus, comes. You said you would." Her tone shifted to a more irritated take, "Then you went out drinking and came home flirting with Jaune. You know, the guy dating Pyrrha?"

"D-did I?" Yang asked, a little fearful, "Did I do anything to him?"

"No, but you're going to get up, take a shower, get dressed, and be a good girl for Winter."

"That's cold," Yang said with a nervous finger gun. Weiss grumbled and glared at her. "Okay. Okay! Just give me a minute." Yang was up and opening her dresser before Weiss spoke up.

"It's all already in the bathroom for you."

"Oh." Yang let out, "Thanks."

"Whatever." Weiss scoffed while making Yang's bed.

Long headed toward their bathroom and right before opening, she looked back at a very vexed Weiss. She hadn't been this attentive and wound up in a long time. The thought of a big sister's approval was enough to bring the 'ice queen' out of her. Or perhaps, it was the fear of disapproval.

"Hey," Yang called.

"What is it?" Weiss asked.

"I shouldn't have been so careless." Yang bowed her head, "I'm sorry."

Weiss, the closeted lesbian she was, wanted to keep up the 'angry girlfriend' façade. All she could think of with such little time, was a juvenile, not very offensive, insult.

"W-Whatever. Just take your shower, shower lady."

Yang, fully understanding the reference, "Okay, ice-ass."

"Take your shower!"

- Later-

Eight o clock on the dot, there was a knock on the door.

"*Gasp* She's here." Weiss hushed.

"*Gasp* I know." Yang mimicked.

"Just...behave." Weiss requested. Yang gave a thumbs up and Weiss answered the door.

Not wasting any time, Winter made quite the impression on Yang. Her steel-like eyes fell on her like a weight. Her perfect posture and stride-full walk into the room had Yang's undivided attention. This woman matched Yang's height and Weiss' elegance. She also had Weiss' hair color, style, and skin tone.

Yang wasn't sure whether to be impressed by the foreboding presentiment she left with just her body language, or dumbfounded with how their mother's genes must have annihilated their father's on two separate occasions.

'They're like babushka dolls.' Yang thought.

"Hello, Weiss." Winter greeted.

"Good morning Winter," Weiss replied.

"Is this your roommate?" Winter offered her hand to Yang.

"Yang Xiao-Long." She gave her prosthetic hand for the shake. Winter didn't seem to mind.

"Winter Schnee." The woman looked Yang up and down and asked, "That's a Chinese name, correct?"

"Yeah," she answered, "It's 'Sun Little Dragon'. Or 'Little Sun Dragon' depending on how-" Yang stopped talking when Schnee appeared to have stopped listening.

Winter was already looking around the room for imperfections. That's how Weiss saw it. Yang figured she was just nosey. Winter did have her nose in the air.

"I'm paying attention," Winter informed, inspecting the anime sticker on Weiss' laptop.

"How you spell or connotate it," Yang finished.

"My sister mentioned you had a sister. A 'Ruby Rose'. If you don't mind me asking,"

Yang stopped Winter right then and there. She'd been asked the question enough growing up and had the answer at the ready. She'd give anything not to hear it again.

"Our dad's Chinese and we have different moms. Both white. He divorced mine, and married Ruby's a few years later."

Weiss stood stunned by Yang's sudden indignant attitude. She couldn't decide on keeping an eye on Yang or Winter. One woman with crossed arms and one who was crossing into their 'kitchen'.

"I see." Winter looked at their counter with the electric kettle, "Are you taking any English classes?"

Yang narrowed her glare, "...No. I can speak perfect English."

Weiss clenched her teeth and held her breath. She looked at Yang shaking her head.

"Really?" Winter poured herself a cup of already-made coffee, "So why did you tell my father you were taking the same classes as my sister?"

Yang's eyes widened realizing the trap she fell in.

"I recall saying something about studying together," Yang fibbed.

"So you just misspoke?" Winter assumed.

"Yeah." Yang shrugged, "I guess so."

"I see." Winter took a sip and shifted to her sister, "Weiss, why did you enable your friend here?"

Strike two.

"Well, I—"

"Stand up straight," Winter interjected.

"Yes, ma'am." Weiss continued, "I wanted to inform father about my new roommate. However, I was positive that his reaction would be rather negative. Yang, being aware of this, was willing to help me with the encounter."

Yang could see Weiss twiddling with her fingers behind her back. Winter's stone-cold expression wasn't giving the young woman any help. She couldn't tell if her lies were working or not. Yang, having experience with fabricating things to get out of trouble, couldn't take much more of this. She chimed in after Weiss said 'I' for the fifth time.

"You know," Yang leaned against her desk, "Weiss is a sophomore in college. Why exactly does she need daddy's approval?"

"She doesn't," Winter said casually. "My father's opinion has absolutely nothing to do with this." Then, she spoke with an infuriated grain in her voice, "I want to know why you're teaching my sister to lie."

Yang couldn't explain why, but she wasn't angry at the accusation. She wasn't insulted or upset. In fact, Ruby and Blake immediately came to mind.

She exhaled and unclenched, "It's kind of complicated and...private."

"I can wait." Winter set her cup down. "I can also make a few phone calls to figure out what classes you're actually taking."

That invasion of privacy, however, pissed the dragon off.

"Excuse You!?" Yang stomped.

Weiss jumped between the two of them and shouted, "Winter! I'm gay!"

A pin dropping could be heard. No one moved. Weiss only raised a brow where Yang left her mouth a gap. Weiss found a tile on the floor to focus on. She could feel the gaze of the two women she admired most. Nothing on this Earth could get her to look up.

"Weiss," Winter called. "Is that true?"

Yang took a few steps forward grabbing her friend's hand. Weiss didn't move, but she did accept Yang's comfort.

"Yes," she answered. "I'm...I'm a lesbian. Yang has known about it since before the ball. I've had thoughts about girls since I was..." she inhaled, "Since middle school. Since father sent me to that catholic school. Yang has been my outlet while I rediscovered myself."

Weiss couldn't grip Yang's hand hard enough.

"I'm...I'm gay."

Not wasting any time, "Would you like to know what this changes?"

Winter came from the two's makeshift kitchen and shadowed over Weiss. The place on the floor she was fixated on was now under Winter's heel. Even with her best friend next to her, Weiss was on the verge of crying. Heart pounding so hard it was felt in her ears.

The tears broke out when Weiss was suddenly hugged by her big sister.

"Nothing," Winter informed. Calmly and loving, "This changes nothing."

The instant Yang let go, Weiss hugged her sibling back. Her face buried against Winter. Yang could only see her shaking shoulders and hear the uncontrollable sobs. Winter patted her back without saying another word. As much as Yang wanted to join in, it wasn't her place. Weiss needed Winter right now the same way Ruby needed Yang almost a year ago.

Weiss wasn't alone.
