Third floor, sixth door on the right. That was the dorm where Yang & Weiss had created a new chapter in their lives. Yes, it was identical to all of the others. But seeing the dressers and desks being empty left Yang with a melancholy. She knew that she'd be back in a few months, but a bed without sheets was not a visual she cared for. Empty spaces were never something she cared for. No matter how many times she would see it.

"Alright," Yang said. "You ready?"

Weiss looked up from her phone, "Hm?" On her left was a large expensive rolling bag. The type that screamed, 'I have money'. Resting on top of her luggage bag was a laptop bag with exactly that. On Weiss' right was her purse. It was stuffed a little more than usual given the situation.

Clarifying, "You ready to make that call?"

This was the day. The day that Weiss had decided to out herself to her father. Yang planned for it, even getting Winter Schnee involved as a precaution. The aftermath was going to be anything but good. Both women knew it. Both women dreaded it. As Yang placed a hand on Weiss' shoulder, she found out how much her girlfriend feared the conversation.

"I already texted him." Weiss gave Yang her phone, "See."

That being, she didn't have a 'conversation' at all. Yang read through three text messages from Weiss and the two replies from Jacques. Weiss had opened with a direct and polite statement.

Weiss: "Father, I'm gay. No, I am not confused. No, I have not been brainwashed. I have felt an attraction to women since I was in middle school. I made the decision to keep this information from you out of fear. A fear that you would reject me as your daughter. I do not want this to happen. I want to be allowed to express myself without hostility or shame from someone I love. If you wish to learn more about me and my lifestyle, then I welcome it. If you accept it, then I'd be grateful. However, if you choose not to accept me for who I am, then that is okay. I will move along with my life without your approval. I would just like to give you the option to move forward with me. You are my father. I love you, and I wish that you'd love me."

Father: "No. I refuse your decision."

Weiss: "That's what I thought. Very well, I won't contact you from now on. The opportunity is open should you change your mind. But just know, I'm not going to wait for you to want to be a loving father. That will be your decision."

Father: "You will burn in hell for your sins."

Weiss: "You in yours. Goodbye Jacques."

Yang peeked over the top of Weiss' phone at her. Weiss didn't seem upset or happy or any kind of understandable emotion. She seemed complacent. Like it was no big deal. Weiss was staring at Yang with a raised eyebrow.

"If I called him, he would've cut me off while I was talking. Then I would've gotten nervous and broke down. This was the best way to go about it" Yang tried to hand the phone back, but she didn't accept. An apprehension hit her voice, "I, uhm, can't delete his number. I've been...trying for the last few minutes. But...I can't."

Instead of Yang giving it back to Weiss, she brought the screen back to view. Yes, it was hard for Weiss to cut ties like that, but you need to pull the weed out along with its roots. Yang was happy to do some yard work on her girlfriend's behalf. That is if she could figure it out.

"Freaking scrolls!" Yang cursed, "How the hell do you work this thing?"

"Are you high?" Weiss asked.

Yang struggled to navigate the Scroll XR, "No! Unlike you, I just don't like being with a mobile company that releases the same phone every year."

"Whatever," Weiss scoffed, "Just delete the—"

Blake Belladonna, coming in from the bathroom, snagged the phone out of Yang's metal hand and proceeded to delete the number. She tossed the device back to Weiss within a few seconds. Something about 'deleting Jacques Schnee out of existence' enticed her. Not that serious, but a girl could vent.

"Happy to help." Blake said, "Now come on." Blake took Weiss' hand pulling her off the bed. "The event's already started."

"Woah!" Weiss shouted, being dragged off, "I don't have my purse! Blake! My purse! Blake! Blake!"

Yang tried to come up with some joke about Weiss being pulled off the bed or Blake having a thing for smaller women. But, hearing Weiss call that name brought Yang's mind back to how this all started. Not the switch in roommates, but the result in coming home early to hear Weiss' 'meditating'.

-That Afternoon-

"Why Blake?" Yang asked.

The charity block party was underway with DJ Penny blasting music on stage. Ruby and Blake could be seen close to the edge of the crowd dancing. Well, Ruby was dancing with a water bottle clipped to her shaking hip. Blake was moving her arms a bit while rocking back and forth to the beat. Only one of the women were on beat but neither cared.

While the couple danced, Yang & Weiss stood by the drinks. Red cup in hand, with sodas inside, Weiss didn't waste any time answering her.

"Because unlike you, she can work a phone."

Yang nudged her, "No. I mean, almost a year ago, I walked in on you inspecting your gadget while thinking about Blake. So, why Blake?"

Weiss slowly turned her head facing Yang. She squinted at her in a confused way, focusing on one thing in that sentence.

"Inspecting my gadget?"

"You want me to be blunt?" Yang asked.

Weiss exhaled, "No. It's fine." She sipped her drink and answered, "Ruby & Blake would start making out right in front of me. I was," Weiss blushed, "Picturing myself in Ruby's position."

"Position meaning,"

Weiss cut her off, "On a busty woman's lap. Yes."

Yang placed her elbow on Weiss' head, using her as an armrest. That being her organic arm. Lest she have a repeat of someone's hair getting caught in her prosthetic.

"Sounds like a golden opportunity to have." Yang snickered while Weiss let loose a subtle chuckle. "Did a flip switch or something? You're all bubbly and dorky now."

"I'd advise you not to refer to me as 'bubbly' again," Weiss, a slim and petite woman, said. She led Yang's arm off of her before speaking on it. "I told you before. I'm done being a doll. Being a perfect princess. I'm doing what I want to do." She tossed her now empty cup into the garbage and decided to cuff Yang's arm. "And, I wanna dance."

Yang started the walk toward the crowd, escorting her girlfriend as if it were a fancy ball.

"Thought you'd never ask."

Yang raised her hand, making a spinning motion. Penny repeated the motion, clearly catching the attention of Weiss who was now hearing the music change. Everyone stopped dancing, naturally. Only a few people knew what was going on. Those people were: Ruby, pairing up with Blake; Jaune, pairing up with Pyrrha; & Nora, pairing up with Ren.

"What's going on?" Weiss asked.

Yang brought her in close. One hand on Schnee's hip and the other on her shoulder. Penny snapped her fingers, grabbing Weiss' attention. But it didn't last long.

"Over here," Yang whispered. Their eyes meet just in time for the slow song to begin. A soft piano solo began the song before a violin set in. By that time, everyone was pairing up with someone else. Either who they came to the event with, or just by chance.

Weiss easily stepped in tune with Yang. Their eyes were locked on one another hearing the romantic melody continue. Yang's low lidded expression did get Weiss to start blushing as the rest of the crowd faded from their minds. All there was, as Weiss & Yang danced together, was the pure fact that no one could ruin this for them. That was until Yang stepped on Weiss' foot.

Sheepishly, "Oops."

"I'll lead," Weiss said, switching their hand positions. The strides became a lot smoother after that. The duo went back to gazing into one another's eyes within seconds. Somehow, Yang's love for Weiss increased. All she was doing was walking in a certain way with her, and it was enough to get Yang blushing for once. Something Weiss took more than just pride in.

Facetiously, "Not fun is it?"

"Falling even further in love with a cute girl who loves me?" Yang leaned in, letting the words sink into Weiss' ear, "What's not fun about that?"

That familiar possession took over. That primal instinct Weiss caved in to during spring break took over. It came back with a little less vigor. In front of everyone, more importantly, not caring if anyone was watching, kissed Yang. She had to get on her toes with Yang happily grasping her hips in order to do so, but she did it.

It was the perfect kiss.

"Weiss!"

It was Jacques Schnee yelling from the entrance. Yang knew it. Blake knew it. Ruby knew it. Weiss sure as hell knew it. Penny just sort of turned the music down not knowing how to act seeing this.

Weiss let go of Yang with a different kind of fire in her eyes. At first, she started to walk toward him, but Yang's hands weren't moving. She stood in front of Yang with her back to Long facing her father.

'If looks could kill' was the perfect analogy. Jacques was towering over his daughter, clearly not pleased with the information he received that morning. Weiss, with Yang behind her, was not budging. She wasn't even bothered by his glare or crossed arms. Weiss had her own unbothered stare.

Schnee spoke, "You are coming with me, right now!"

Weiss kept her hands on her hips, interlacing her fingers with Yang's. Ruby stood on her right, placing a hand on her shoulder. Blake walked up on her left, being the first to speak.

Firmly, "She's not going anywhere."

"Shut your mouth!" Jacques ordered. Jaune's hand was the only thing keeping Blake from committing assault. Pyrrha planted herself a little to Ruby's right. Not right next to her per say. She was closer to Jacques than her friends. Pyrrha didn't know as much about him as the others did and, therefore, wasn't sure about how dangerous he was.

"No father." Weiss replied, "I'm not going with you."

"You're embarrassing me," he argued.

"You came here," Ruby chimed in. "Please leave."

"Don't tell me what to do, you queer!"

Yang snapped, "Don't you DARE talk to my sister like that!" Weiss' grip tightened over Yang's hands keeping her in place. Again, Jaune has to keep Blake back from going to jail.

Pyrrha stepped between them and the man in white. She eyed him, hands down by her waistline and having no intention of moving.

"Sir." Pyrrha said casually, "You need to leave." A few people in the crowd shouted in support of that decision. The event security had approached Jacques at this point and were asking him to do the same.

"Weiss!" he shouted, "Weiss! You're not gay! Don't let them brainwash you!" He was pleading at this point. Something she had never seen in her life. Jacques was almost begging his daughter. "Reconsider this! Weiss! It's not too late! Listen to your father!"

Without having to move a muscle, Weiss watched as her father was led away from her friends. More importantly, her life. He was so offended by her sexuality that he came to an event to yell at her. Why wouldn't she be happy about him being kicked out? Well, this was her dad.

This was a man she believed to love her. The person behind her knowledge on financial decisions. The person who taught her how to appear perfectly fine despite what was going on behind the scenes. This was her parent.

A parent that told her to never show emotion. A man who told her to never have an opinion. A man who couldn't be bothered with teaching her how to ride a bike or hold her eating utensils. A man who had tried to groom her into becoming a bigot like him. A man who's homophobia was the cause for this entire scene.

In fact, Winter was the one who Weiss was copying the fearless cold stare from. Blake was the one who offered a hand to Weiss despite knowing who she was. Ruby had been the friend who made sure Weiss knew how important having a friend was. Finally, there was Yang. Who, well, you've read the story so far.

"Jacques!" Weiss shouted.

She spun around looking at Yang. She knew her father had a clear view of this, and she wasn't going to waste it. Years of being told the same thing over and overreached a boiling point. So, again, in front of everyone in the crowd as well as Jacques Schnee, Weiss showed her father something he'd never forget.

Yang was being dipped by Weiss. She was a little surprised by her girlfriend's strength but welcomed it. Weiss winked at her before looking back at her father. This was, in a way, Yang's reward for all the support she had given the woman.

Weiss called out with all the passion she could muster, "I'm a lesbian!" Then followed it by kissing Yang making sure everyone could see.

It was the last thing Jacques saw before being escorted out. His daughter, in love with someone else. He may have had a problem with it, but the cheering students sure as hell did not.

The music kicked back in, and Weiss & Yang stood back up.

"Well," Yang said, completely smitten, "That bridge has been burned."

Weiss refused to let go of her hand, "Good."

-That Night-

It was late at night. When Yang & Weiss went back to their dorm for their last night there, they both knew exactly what was going to happen. It was practically written on the walls above their beds. More specifically Weiss' bed since it still had sheets.

There's no need to go into detail about what the couple did after the lights went out. It's not necessary to describe what Yang & Weiss did together. Why explain the obvious?

There was only one reason why this is being brought up. Because it was the one reason Yang was still awake. She was naked under the covers with a more than pleased Weiss sleeping on top of her. Both were sweaty but only one was staring at the ceiling in shock.

After all the flirting and teasing Yang had done over the past year, she couldn't believe it. What had just happened. She had touched Weiss. She had kissed Weiss. She had confessed her love for Weiss. Despite all of this, she was in absolute disbelief about what Weiss just did.

So much so, that it needed to be said out loud. Not at a volume that would wake Weiss, of course. But just as a way to admit it to herself.

Yang breathed, "Weiss Schnee just f*cked me."
