The year is about to end and we're celebrating by visiting a nearby shrine to watch the fireworks

Usually, me and my parents wouldn't do this, we usually just celebrate in our house while eating and watching the fireworks from our windows, but~~, well, they want to show me the world, not to mention their friends have a new addition that is Max Carlos, Ed's dad

Apparently, he's American with the quirk of Repeater, it's a quirk that let him do an action over and over again without him actually consciously moving any muscle, seems useless, but it works wonders on stuff that is truly the pinnacle of boring repeated action, he can just set his quirk up then look at his phone to watch MyTube! Work once, then take a forever break until new order!

Currently, he's living here after marrying Ning and is working as a train station conductor

We continue to crawl in our car until we're finally at our destination that is, the parking lot, I could see a lot of people out and about on this fine night wearing Japanese traditional clothing

As for us, I'm wearing a green Kimono with Pink flowers petals on it, my mom wears the same while my dad wears a brown one with a gold dragon on it 

As for Edward, he wears a yellow Kimono with mountains as the theme while his dad wears a matching one 

¹to my knowledge and goggle, Kimono is basically a Yukata that hate cold

We then processed to walk toward the mountain that houses the shrine 

We're coming closer to the entrance of the mountain, and I could see a group of adult wave toward us, probably Dad and Mom's friends, as we walk closer I could see a woman with wild red hair wearing cargo pants and brown biker jacket with white shirt coming closer and start speaking to my dad

"Ey yo! Long time no see, look like you got yourself quite a looker there"

"I guess I did, now, if only she could apricote my dadness"

"That is true, if only could see the carrot way of life that is dad joke"

Both of them get smacked with rolled paper from God knows where

"Stop that already! Just stop making me want to die because of your cringe!"

Seeing such an attic make everyone in our group laugh along with other onlookers

"Haah, Alright everyone, this is Utsuho Reiuji {Ello} Aka Okuu, my daughter, and this is Edward Carlos, my daughter's friend {H-Hello} and Max Carlos, his father {Nice to meet you}"

After mom introduced her to us, she processed to introduce her gang

"Alright, the one with the nosebleed-covered hair is Lin Xiang,{Hey!!} This bald dude is Colvin Gunter, her husband {Hello}, and this chill dude with sunglasses in the night is nightshade"

"You mean Sora Yamada? I'm not even a hero anymore ya know?"

With Lin looking like your usual girl mechanic, you could find anywhere, Colvin with his gentle, bartender-like face, none existence hair, and black jacket and pants

Sora with his gamer look of blond wild hair and black sunglasses, wearing a blue hoodie with jeans

We then start talking amongst ourselves while walking up the stairs... I then learned quite quickly that Sora is the punching bag of the group... Most of the time

Lin then processed to run up the stairs, holding on to Sora's sunglasses with an angry, Sunglasses-less Sora chasing after her

Passing by the tourist destination and arriving at our destination, we're greeted by two shrine maidens as we make our way in to make an offering and pray

{Wish I could escape from all the cringy puns my husband will throw this year}

{I wish there'll be a lot of discount sales this year}

{I wish people will actually call me by my name... And got me a big booba- Ack!? Who's bloodlust is this!?}

I toss a coin in then clap my hand as I make my wish upon the Shrine... 

I wish to become so powerful, that I will not need to worry about people I cherish dying because I lack the power to protect them

Finished praying I walk to the side before I notice one particular small shrine maiden about the age of 5, sitting on one of the shrine building

On her face is a fox mask, black hair decorates with a red ribbon that has lines of whites and red tubes on her sidelocks, a shrine maiden-like clothing with white lines decorating its end with a sleeveless red top...

... No way... 

With a gentle but sharp movement, she pick up a steamed bread bun and lift up her fox mask to reveal her face... One, which I recognize

It really is her... 

Biting into the bun, with the leftover falling leaves of winter behind her, is the one and only all problem solver of Gensokyo, Reimu Hakurei

This... Wait, doesn't this mean!?

Indeed, the fact that other Touhou characters exist is worrying, because it means other characters, including those that I don't truly know, have a huge chance of existing too

The reason being, is the Touhou franchise setting of a secret society

Now, unlike most other "secret" Societies... Touhou... Gensokyo truly is a secret holy ground for yokai and alike, where they can live happily together with its human residents...

The problem lies there... It's a secret society that doesn't show the outside world to the player/viewer... Meaning, the Touhou franchise could exist in any world that doesn't have yokai and alike as the norm and has at the very least the technology to build a train that Yukari could throw at people... And tube TV

Well shitz... Wait, what's she's doing here? This isn't Hakurei Shrine, right? Ugh, I've only truly played until Ten Desires with some unfinished stages including the past game, but from the fighting game version, there are literal beings that have PLANETS surrounding them as if they're weapons! I do not need any of them to go rogue! One Okuu and Flan is enough!

Although it could be said that I shouldn't be worried about it because they'll stay in Gensokyo, hidden by the Great Hakurei Barrier... But... I can't help but be worried about it... 

One, this is a world that's as real as it could get for me, I swear, if I found out that the game version is a "Timeline" Where Reimu and Marisa always come up on top, where in this timeline they failed at one of the incidents, which leads to the apocalypse, I swear, to GOD! I WILL become a goddess just so I could bitch slap that damn disco fairy to oblivion!

After we all finish praying, we took a look around the shrine and got ourselves a lucky charm (omamori) and Fortune stick (Omikuji)

"No... Another Misfortune..."

"Poor Sora... Oh hey! Got lucky strike here! How about you Colvin?"

"Mhm"

I open my Fortune stick to see that it's a good luck in finding my fate one

"Hey, not bad~ nice luck you got there"

"Thanks, Miss Lin"

Fate one huh...

I look towards a certain building where I found Reimu, she's not there now, but...

... It's just a coincidence, right? 

Finished doing all we want on the Shrine, we took a trip down to the tourist destination right below, it's just a few stairs downward

Over there, I found myself surrounded by what you'll usually find in anime new years festival, a lot of stalls, foods, goodies, and games around, of course, a lot of those games have a "No quirk usage" Sign

Miss Lin then took off with Colvin to a fish-scooping game stall, of course, we follow suit

"Gehehehe! It is time, for me to finally defeated you! Bald basket!"

"Hmp, not if I could outlast your outlasting, Hot head!"

I watch on together with other onlookers, the battle rage on, with Colvin already caught 3 fish on his side, while Lin... Broke her 5th Scooper

"WHA- THIS GOTTA BE RIGGED!!"

"Bwahahaha!"

"It's not rigged miss, it's just... You're doing it too fast and too strong..."

As I'm watching, my vision suddenly blocked by grilled sausage

"Want one?"

"Thanks, mom"

"They're going at it like last time huh?"

I took the sausage out of her hand and bite into it, the taste of the meat and soy sauce that's mix with harmony with chili is delicious

"C'mon now Okuu, let's explore more of this place rather than watching two boring couples compete"

"Heh, right behind you mom!"

And so, we explore the new year festival place, buying many food and candy before resting on a concrete fence on the flat place that's been created for fireworks viewing

"Haah, really glad I could sit on here~"

"Never know you love the concrete fence, Sora"

"Shut it, Lin"

As we were talking we heard an explosion in the sky, we look up to see the fireworks has been fired...

And that's Mark the end of the year, with Sora running after Lin and people's laughter echoing in the air

I look towards the cardboard boxes that I've carried, they're boxes filled with good offering the shrine have received in just 3 hours

Hearing a familiar voice, I look toward the source to find myself looking at an old grandma

She's wearing a shrine maiden-like outfit with dull bluish-gray color, her hair is completely white, and on her face, is a typical fox mask

"Grand, what are you doing here?"

"Fufufu, still cold as usual... Well... What reason do I need other than wanting to see my beloved grandchild, hmm?"

"Sorry, but this grandchild is busy lifting bags of food, maybe next time"

"My my, you've really developed that no-nonsense personality hm?..."

I heard a clank and saw that it was grand, putting down cups on top of a box and filling them with tea

"How about some tea to relax yourself on this fine night?"

"... *sigh* alright Grand, what is it this time?"

"Fufufu, straight to the point like always"

She took a sip of her tea, this is what I hate about Grand, she's too lax and slow... With a sigh, I sit down with her and took a sip of her tea... 

... I never figure out how she could make such a good tea... 

"So, how's the school been treating you?"

"Awful, many of those kids are on power trips and are always trying to pick a fight with me, of course, all I have to do is float them up, and sometimes, slam them down"

"I see, I see... Say... What are your thoughts on changing schools?"

I look at her with a tired face... Then, with both of my hands on my face, I let out a long sigh, then I ask...

"... What kind of bullshit did you see this time?"

"Now now, it's not good for you to know what lies in the future a-"

"I know yes, but please, for the love of God, at least tell me the general of this mission of yours, the last time I went for one earned me a long wound on my arm"

She then filled our drink again, took a sip, then... Hold both of her arms on her chin with a serious expressions

After she finished explaining my mission this time... I... Have a massive headache

My grandma, is a particular one, manifesting her quirk late at the age of 10, she hide the fact that she could see the future and just told the people that her quirk is a prediction quirk

Because although she's young, she's wise and doesn't want to be a hero, nor let everyone know she could see the future in real-time, any change in it, she'll see it

It is why she's hiding it... Because she's afraid there will be a time when the apocalypse will come true because people tried to fight the future she saw, only to realize the apocalypse came because they try to fight it, rather than avoid it

An easier example will be if your wife will cheat on you in the future, then you become depressed and turn alcoholic because of the information, where then your wife cheats on you BECAUSE you're a walking alcoholic depression crybaby that empties her wallet like no tomorrow

After all, no one could truly know what the future hold... But this one... Is certainly a bad one if not deal with correctly

"Is there no bargaining?"

"Sadly no, there's none, again, sorry, little Reimu"

"... Fine, let's just... Get over it, I guess..."

"Well then now, how about we go on to the festival on this fine night? Heard they got quite a good selection of food this year"

"I'm still at work, Grand"

"Not if you sneak away from it! c'mon now! The festival is calling us!"

Grand then grab my arm and start running while dragging me along

"Gezz, fine, just, stop running!"

And so, I sneak out from work chasing the old grand as the Fireworks light up the dark sky
