“I thought that it was only their royalty that did that, but no. It would seem that all elves think the same way.”

“Okay, that explains a lot…” Jordan muttered.

“It really does.” Lim agreed.

Back in the kingdom, Jordan and Lim were in her parents' manor, along with Sara. Having just heard the update that Etrius had sent, the three nodded in understanding.

“The elves really are strange…” Sara couldn’t help but sigh.

“Indeed.” Jordan nodded. “Do you think many of their strange habits were from the elves?”

“Well, we don’t know how long they actually lived with them.” Sara pointed out. “Obviously the twins grew up with them, but Etrius brought them here and they lived here for many years.”

“Well, habits formed as kids are often hard to break.” Lim said.

“I guess.” Sara sighed.

The two sat in silence as Lim refilled their tea. Each having many thoughts in their minds.

“You know, I think I’m starting to understand why Etrius wanted to keep them hidden from the church.” Sara said.

“I agree.” Jordan said. “They won’t even allow me to send them letters.”

“Well, I don’t think anything too bad will happen to them. They are with Lady Illumi, so they should be fine.” Sara said.

“But still…” Jordan said. “I knew that the church was restrictive, but I didn’t think they would be this restrictive with spirits.”

“Yeah…” Sara sighed. “Knowing Etrius, it should be back soon with those students. We can talk then.”

Jordan nodded and took a sip of her tea. Aside from the broadcast, it was another day in the kingdom.

“Well, that explains that.” Lucy said.

“Tell me about it.” Duncan sighed.

Somewhere in the royal castle, Duncan and Lucy were preparing for another mission. With them, was Athena who looked deep in thought.

“I didn’t realize that elves were that weird. Duncan said.

“I suppose Etrius must have thought that it was normal for humans as well.” Lucy said.

“Same with the twins.”

“Question…” Athena called out hesitantly.

“What is it?” Duncan asked.

“Etrius said that… he-she?” Athena hesitated.

“It prefers to be called an ‘it’. Lucy said.

“Well, Etrius said that it thought that only their royalty didn’t wear underwear, right?” Athena asked.

“Yeah, that’s what it said.” Duncan nodded.

“And you said that it’s children, those twins, also didn’t?” Athena asked.

“Yeah that's what-” Lucy paused.

And like that, the three connected the dots. Etrius’ near obsession with protecting them. The two’s homeland being taken over, them hating their mother, and elvish royalty not wearing underwear. They were royalty. Looking at each other, the three’s faces paled as they gave each other an “Oh shit!” sort of look.

“Duncan!” Athena instructed.

“On it!” Duncan ran off to report their discovery.

“Oh no…” Lucy muttered.

“No, I will not get you pictures of the queen’s feet.” Etrius sighed.

In it’s child maid form, and with its hands on its hips, Etrius looked down on Mary.

“Please!” Mary begged on her knees.

“No you freak. Be normal.” Etrius said.

“I’m dying here!” Mary said, grabbing Etrius’ dress. “I’m like a lost traveler in the desert! I need that life giving water!”

“Down girl!” Etrius said, slapping her.

“Show me your feet!” She said, reaching for its shoes.

Etrius slid away out of Mary’s reach on a patch of black sand. Desperate, Mary crawled at it, almost crying. Sliding up onto a wall, Etrius made itself out of reach.

“Please!” Mary clawed at it.

“Calm down.” Etrius said, a copy of itself appearing behind her, putting her in a ‘gentle’ choke hold.

“Please…!” She struggled.

Putting a little more power in it, Etrius felt her go limp. Sighing at the sight of this, Satou shook his head.

“I know that you are already working on it, but can you hurry and get us out of here?” Satou asked.

“Please hurry.” Jasmine said.

“Yeah, I’m working on it.” Etrius said coming down from the wall. “Thanks to an idiot, I got trapped in a town for a bit, so I had to deal with that.”

“Can’t you just like, teleport us home or something?” Jasmine asked.

“You wouldn’t survive the trip, so no.” It explained. “I’ll need to make a portal using elvish magic.”

As Etrius and its copy carried the limp Mary to her bed, Satou looked out the window.

“Oh, it looks like they are coming.” Satou said.

“Yeah, I’ll be going.” Etrius said. “And don’t worry about training anymore. I’m already dealing with it.”

“How so?” Jasmine asked.

“Don’t worry about it.” Etrius said.

“I feel like we should.” Jasmine muttered.

Placing Mary on her bed, Etrius and its copy fell away into black sand and disappeared without a trace. Sighing at Etrius’ strange actions, Jasmine walked to the window and saw a familiar carriage heading towards their building. The two watched as the knight commander, the elf in charge of their training, headed out to greet them. Shortly before he could, however, His horse seemingly tripped. Flying from his saddle, he hit the ground hard and didn’t move. His head was at a strange angle.

“I think he just got assassinated…” Satou couldn’t help but speculate.

“I think so…” Jasmine couldn’t help but agree.

With the morning rising, Etrius wandered the town, this time by itself. Today Hilda was with the children as their chaperone. Most, if not all the so called maids, had already revealed themselves to be spirits and some were even using magic. That being said, none of them were very good with it. Etrius wanted to teach them but time did not allow it. Maybe it can enroll them in Academy Island. Firstly it would need to get them there and then it would need to pay for them to attend.

For normal people, those would be problems, but Etrius was not normal or people. It wasn’t even a person. That being said, Etrius thought that it would be best to give them some sort of warning about it’s plans. Taking out it’s helmet, Etrius sent out another message.

Sitting in a meeting with other heads of the church, April heard the familiar sound of a message being sent through.

“Hey April, you have a new sister.” Etrius’ voice sounded out.

April nodded, having expected something like this to happen.

“Also, I’m bringing back like two hundred maids.” Etrius continued.

At this, April took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

“They’re mostly all spirits and don’t want to stay here. Also, they are kind of dumb, so I was thinking about having them enroll at Academy Island once they learn the language.” Etrius said. "If they want of course."

“Okay…” April sighed.

“You’re welcome for the heads up.” Etrius said, before ending the transmission.

Somewhat worried for the future, April dreaded the upcoming headache of the yet to arrive maids. Little did she know that a certain headmaster felt the same way.

With April successfully informed, Etius put away it’s helmet and continued on its walk. Greeting the maids that passed by, eventually one, standing in a dark alley called out to it.

“Hey, master.” The cat-eared maid called out.

“Hello.” Etrius responded, to the rather shady maid.

“I know what you are.” She smiled.

“?” Confused, Etrius looked at her.

In the shadows, the maid lifted up her dress and showed off a pair of rather provocative red underwear.

“Okay…” Etrius said. “You know, where I’m from, it’s normal to wear them.”

“Admittedly, they don’t stay on for long.” She smirked, covering herself.

“No, I mean the place I came from, a human world, everyone wears them. They were all getting mad at me for not wearing them.” Etrius said.

“Humans?” She asked. “Aren’t those just a myth?”

“No, humans are as real as dragons and the ‘Angry One’.” Etrius said.

“Really?” She asked. “Thank you for dealing with the Angry One by the way. We are all very glad that it is gone.”

“I can tell.” It said.

“So, all humans wear underwear? Does that mean that they are all perverts?” She asked.

“Funnily enough, only the ones that don’t wear underwear are considered to be perverts. Well, most of them anyway.” It said.

“Humans are odd.” She pondered. “Say, since you are our master, what will you do with us?”

“When I find the students I’ve been looking for, I’ll take them back to their world and then probably work on something for my daughter.” It said.

“One of those girls you brought with you?”

“No, my daughter who asked me to go and rescue the students. She’s an angel.”

“All daughters are.”

“Yes, but she’s actually an angel. She’s got a halo and two massive wings on her back.”

“Is she a pervert like you?”

“For your own safety, do not ask that again.”

“I understand.”

“So, her halo is getting old, so I need to update it and replace some parts.”

“Is it a complicated process?”

“A bit yeah.”

“Will you have any need for us maids?”

“Can I be honest with you?”

“Of course.”

“I get the impression that this town is full of idiots, so I planned on having you all attend school so you would be less stupid.”

“That’s fair.”

“Sorry if I offended you.”

“No, you’re correct. And what of those children?”

“Well I have to formally adopt them and then I plan on having them go to school as well.”

“A noble endeavor.”

“Did you have anything you wanted to do once you leave?”

“I’m in debt to the mob, so I hope to avoid them.”

“What did you do?”

“Brought the boss's son into adulthood.”

“That doesn’t sound that bad.”

“I also gambled using the two pump chump’s money.”

“Yep, that would do it. Is there anyone else here who has similar stories?”

“A few of us, yes, but the vast number of us are normal.”

“I somehow doubt that.”

“I don’t blame you.” She said. “Master, you said that you are from a human world?”

“No, but that is where my daughter is so that’s where I’m going.” Etrius said.

“How do you plan on bringing us there?” She asked.

“I’ll use one of their summoning rituals to make a portal there.” It said.

“That gods won’t stand by idly. Humans are valuable and they won’t overlook a world filled with them.” She said.

“I’ll deal with them if they get in my way.” It said.

“No offense but even if you slew the angry one, I don’t believe you can fight the gods.” She said.

“I’m not going to fight them. I’m just going to kill them.” It said.

“Let’s say that somehow the gods don’t interfere, how will you keep the local queen from acting?”

“Oh, she won’t be a problem.”

“How can you be sure?”

“I have my ways.” Saying this, Etrius brushed out a lock of its hair, which turned silver in the daylight.

“!?” The maid’s eyes widened in surprise. “Oh.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Etrius smiled, hiding its hair, once more turning black in the shadows.

“To think that someone such as yourself dresses like me…” She seemed proud of herself. “Together we can make the world sexy. One bra at a time. One very sexy bra at a time.”

“Is there anyone in this town that is normal?” It asked.

“In this town, we are normal.” She said.

“I am going to get into so much trouble for bringing you all home.”

“Please do take us, I don’t want to be here anymore. This town is horrible and elves suck.”

“Yeah, no you’re all coming with me.”

“Thank you very much.”

“Well, I got to-” Etrius started.

“Master, please wait.” She said.

“Yes?” Etrius asked.

“I know that this is not my place, however I have a request of you.” She said.

“Yeah, sure, let's hear it.” It said.

“At the next opportunity, please pamper me like you did Hilda.” She said.

“If it’s something like that, yeah I can do that.” It nodded.

“Thank you very much.” She bowed respectfully.

“No problem.” It said.

Leaving her behind, Etrius continued on its way, gathering materials that may be of some use in the future. Heading just outside the town, Etrius came across the wreckage of the crashed “Angry One.” There wasn’t human, elvish, or even spirit remains. Instead, there was a primitive looking golem inside it. Taking off it’s disco ball-like head, Etrius found familiar looking circuitry. Whoever made this was an idiot, and he was an idiot that Etrius knew. Sighing to itself, Etrius tore into the “Angry One” for it’s parts.
