Hi there.

There has been some time during which I worked on The Hearteater, but also on rewriting the story. Now I'm happy to present you with part of it, which contains all 37 chapters that have been published + the prologues, and some other stuff. Don't worry if it's vague, because I have a list of every change for you, further in this 'chapter'.

I completely cut Amelia from the second book, so the chapters focused on her, and the fragments are gone. Right now chapters are focusing on two major plots, that is Bruno’s plot and Yue-Liang’s. There are some additional ones in between, but I’m trying my best to stick to one of the groups for at least a few chapters before shifting to others, and keeping the timelines right. Later those will be further fragmented. For Bruno, it will be split between him and his crew, and for Yue-Liang it will also contain characters orbiting around his person.

Now a little bit about the changes. I separated them into three groups. Minor changes – sometimes it's one sentence, sometimes it's several ones. Overall, you don’t have to re-read those chapters to be able to keep up with the plot. Moderate changes – it's either a significant portion of content that has been added/changed, or part of the plot itself, so I encourage you to re-read those chapters. Major changes – those chapters are significantly changed. It's either a large portion of the chapter or a major plot shift. Lastly, there are new chapters that were written from scratch and follow the new plot.

I compiled a list of changes including what was the previous outlook of the story, and what it is now, so you can easily track it all if you don’t want to re-read.

Now a little bit about the next update. On the Patreon, I just added a second such update, which reaches chapter 74 of Book II, which is almost all of it. Now I will be working on the rest which might take some time. Hard to tell exactly how much, but hopefully It will be ready sometime next month. Maybe in the middle of it if everything goes smoothly. From that point, I will resume updating the story here and on other sites.
