Chapter 12

Confrontation, something, absolutely natural within nature,
and the outcome is in most of the cases, death, death of the weaker being.

Tom knew, other worlds, weren't suppose to be like vacations,
but he didn't expect it to be that bad.
At the moment he was facing an unexpected situation,
a monster showed up, and not the kind he would like to meet,
not something like a slime, or a smaller Goblin,
overall it was like the epitome of a nightmare.
Sweat was forming atop of his skin, and the cold air caused him to shiver,
shiver like he never shivered before.

Tom didn't know how he should oppose such nightmarish being,
he was merely a pig with wings, should he charge at it and throw his weight against it?
Should he flee? But would any of this work,
wouldn't he become mince meat before any of this would work.
Afterall, how should he fight this thing, he had up to zero fighting experience.
And this experience, was the one he had as a human,
then how would he compare as a pig against that thing.
Should he try to intimidate it?

There must be a way, wasn't he God's messenger,
he should be able to handle this situation in ease..
Damn it.. would this work?..

Just while he was still indulged in his thoughts, the predator started moving,
trying to close the gap between him and the prey.

Realising this Tom made up his mind,
trying his outmost to intimidate the offender in some way,
he started squeaking, rolling, jumping, opening his wings while making weird noises,
everything which came to his delusional mind,
showing any kind of superiority.

And who would have thought, the predator stopped in his steps,
looking at him in an incredulous way.

Hahaha, it seems like it has worked ,
he stopped and backed off a little, well done Tom,
but now isn't the time for praise,
let's make sure he doesn't suspect me , maybe  I should keep intimidating him,
afterall he wasn't just suppose to be backing off a little, he is suppose to flee,
like a little rat, afterall he tried to impose his superiority on the mighty me.
Maybe I should charge at him and show him, that I am the stronger one out of us two,
combining it with my intimidation techniques, this might work.

Once again, Tom started to use his intimidation dance moves, while charging at his enemy...
causing the predator into a state of mental aberration, fleeing back into the dark tunnel..

And once again, the weird scene of a lone winged meatball returned to it's former state,
with the change of a dancing meatball in the middle of the tunnel passage.

What a coward!

Hahaha, take this, Gollum, behold my power,
I received a blessing, a unique skill, just through my godly actions.
This will be the beginning of my legacy,
but before I speak more about it,
I should start moving,
and check out my surroundings,
before another of this things will show up.

So Tom started checking his surroundings,
coming to conclusion, that
there aren't any remarkable choices,
which way he should choose to explore.

He had three tunnels behind him, and two in his front,
the last choice he had was to squash himself through the cave crevice
and going back to the surface, where he would freeze to death.

Overall he came to conclusion, that it didn't really matter,
which tunnel he would decide to choose,
as long it wouldn't be the one Gollum did flee into.

So once again Tom made up his mind and started walking into one of the last four tunnels,
hoping he wouldn't encounter " Gollum 2.0" .
