Cain's body was in agony, as though it had been through a warzone. Every muscle ached, and even the slightest touch sent waves of pain through his skin. Slowly, he opened his eyes, only to be met with a sharp pain in his head that forced him to quickly shut them again. He glimpsed a concrete roof, but the throbbing pain in his head, forced him to close his eyes.

Disoriented and confused, Cain tried to sit up, but the effort made him dizzy and weak, and he quickly fell back down. As he lay there, he took stock of his body, feeling his way around. His throat was dry, as if he had been screaming all night. As he shifted, the hardness of the floor under him sent waves of discomfort through his body. His thoughts were muddled and disjointed, and he struggled to remember how he had gotten there.

Gradually, the pain in his head began to subside, and he tentatively opened his eyes again. To his surprise, the stabbing pain had faded to a dull ache, and he was able to take in his surroundings more clearly. He remembered standing in the lunar facility, watching as the Earth died, and the feel of hot blood against his skin as it flowed from his neck. But as he tried to piece together what had happened since then, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. This wasn't how it was supposed to be.

Usually, he would have felt like he was being reborn when he came out of the womb as a newborn baby. Instead, he felt heavy and weighed down, as though his limbs were made of lead. He wondered if he had survived his suicide attempt and had been moved while he slept - a possibility that seemed impossible given that everyone else was dead, or if he had somehow crossed over to another timeline without full rebirth. The uncertainty of it all left him feeling lost and alone in a sea of unknowns, a sensation that he had not experienced for a long time.

As he tried to sit, Cain's limbs felt like they were made of lead, making it difficult for him to even move. Even the slightest movement required an immense amount of effort. Instead, he slowly reached up to feel his neck, each second of effort sending small pain into his mind. To his surprise, there was no wound. The was also no sign of blood, but his body felt pain which should not be present. As he moved his hand, he couldn't help but notice how odd it felt. He also noticed that the skin of his neck felt odd. It was as if he was in a body that wasn't his own, a feeling that was confirmed when he intuitively realized that this body was not the same as his previous existence.

As soon as the realization hit him, a surge of energy traveled through his body. It was as if every cell in his being was alive and buzzing with newfound vitality. He felt stronger and more powerful than ever before. The sensation was invigorating, and he reveled in it, but his joy was short-lived. The movement was crushed when he heard a commotion.

As he blinked open his eyes again and moved in a sitting position, he took in his surroundings and trying to make sense of what was happening. He heard angry voices and the sound of shuffling feet, causing him to tense up, and he quickly looked for a place to hide. That's when he noticed two girls crouching behind a car parked nearby, looking scared.

The girls were sitting behind a car in the parking lot, trying to stay hidden. One of the girls appeared to be in her late teens or early twenties, with long, curly orange hair and bright orange eyes, and she had a silver necklace with a small crystal pendant around her neck. She was wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans.

The other girl was a little older, perhaps in her mid-twenties. She had straight black hair that fell to her shoulders and dark, almond-shaped eyes. She was wearing a leather jacket over a red tank top and black jeans but they were torn and dirty, as if she had been in a struggle. Despite her comfortable clothing, he can easily noticed the tough, no-nonsense look about her. She looked like a bodyguard in casual clothes. Her muscles were toned and visible beneath her tight-fitting shirt, and she had an assertive posture when he looked at them as if shielding the young girl from him.

As he notice their attire, his eyes widened in surprise as he surveyed his own. He was dressed in a long, flowing garment, embroidered with intricate designs, it looks like a Roman toga. The cloth felt soft and smooth to the touch, and the regal vibe of the attire was undeniable. Yet, one side was splattered with blood. Cain couldn't help but wonder why he was dressed in such an ancient garment. He searched his memory, trying to recall how he had come to be wearing it. Suddenly, a vivid memory surged from deep within his mind, causing him to gasp in surprise. He remembered the curse that had befallen him many years ago and realized that he was wearing the same outfit he had been cursed in. The memories and emotions that he had long buried came flooding back to him. He was determined not to let his cursed past consume him and took a deep breath to compose himself.

After composing himself Cain focused on the present and realized that they were hiding from the men whose shouts echoed from the floor below. The danger felt palpable and his heart started beating faster again but he soon calmed down his heart. He normally have strict control over his body but this new body seems to have a mind of its own. He knew he had to approach the girls for answers, but his body felt still foreign and unwieldy. Every step he took felt like an obstacle course, as if he was navigating a minefield.

His gait was unsteady, and he stumbled several times before finally reaching the girls. As he got closer, Cain tried to raise his hand in a gesture of surrender, hoping to convey that he meant no harm. But before he could utter a word, the younger girl's hand shot up, as if to ward him off. And then, suddenly, he felt a powerful force that pushed him back several feet, leaving him disoriented and off-balance.

He was taken aback as the girl's hand gesture propelled him back several feet, leaving him feeling surprised and confused. It was a sensation he had never experienced in his millions of years of existence, and it made him wary of the girl. As he looked at her, he could see the surprise and wariness mirrored in her own eyes, and he sensed that she had just realized something. The way she had pushed him back suggested that she had superpowers, and the realization hit him like a ton of bricks. For the first time since he had reincarnated from his original world millions of years ago, he was face to face with something supernatural.

Cain's hand instinctively shot up in a gesture of surrender as he cautiously approached the two girls. "I mean no harm," he tried to make his voice shaky with unease.

The bodyguard flashed him an apologetic look. "Sorry about that," she said. “My friend here is still learning to control her powers. She didn't mean to hurt you.”

The young girl's eyes were wide with concern as she tentatively asked, "Are you okay?"

Cain shook his head, unsure of what to make of the strange force that had propelled him backwards. "I don't know," he admitted. "Your powers didn't affect me negatively, but I don't remember anything from the past twelve hours. Can you help me?"

As the trio introduced themselves and tried to piece together what had happened, Cain couldn't help but sense the weariness and tension that hung thick in the air. The older girl, with her stoic bodyguard-like demeanor, had a slight tremble in her hands that betrayed her exhaustion. The younger girl, who had been frightened by Cain's sudden approach, seemed almost relieved to have someone else there to help shoulder the burden.
