Gabriel thought what to do now, he could hunt more goblins to increase his level, but if he was honest he was a bit fed up with it. But he had nothing better to do anyway.

He picked up his weapons again and the meat that was rolled up and protected by long, strong blades. Since he had to carry the two spears and the sword with his hands, he kept the Dagger in his clothes in such a way that it would not get in the way. He thought in the future to prepare some kind of rope to be able to load his spears with it on his back, but that would be in the future.

He continued walking and after exploring for a while, he found something a bit different from what he expected.

"Is that... a Kobold?" He asked himself. What he found was a small humanoid figure slightly resembling a lizard with red scales. He was completely uncovered just like the Goblin , but he didn't care in the slightest.

What caught his attention the most was that the Kobold had a sharp dagger along with a kind of simple slingshot. Weapons that looked much better than the simple Goblin 's club , although on the one hand much less effective in combat against humans.

He left the weapons he was holding on the ground, and among them he took his original spear (The first spear he obtained). I grab it tight and lift it up, like always and it's going to try to end the fight right away with a surprise attack.

He precisely aimed at the Kobold, which was looking at the top of a tree.

He gathered all his strength and threw the spear. It quickly traveled towards the Kobold, and in almost an instant it had already arrived in front of the Kobold. He felt something and started to lunge to the side, but it was a second too late.

The spear plunged into his back, cutting into the scales that made up his skin like butter. Finally, finishing on the other side of the Kobold.

Red blood spurted from the Kobold's wound, which quickly began to ooze from the open wound.

The Kobold lost its balance and fell hard to the ground. Still alive, he tried to remove the weapon that went through his back and ended in his chest, but no matter what he did, he couldn't prevent his inevitable death.

In the few seconds of life he had left, he let out a death howl and his body came to a complete stop…he was dead.

Gabriel came out of his hiding place and approached the kobold, picking up his weapon and looking at the corpse in front of him.

"Don't level up, I'll have to kill some more" he muttered as he finished inspecting the corpse to see if it had anything else useful.

The Kobold's Dagger looked exactly the same as the one he summoned using his ability, but it was in a worse state due to overuse. So it wasn't worth taking.

As for the slingshot, it wasn't worth much so I didn't take it with me either.

Once everything was done, he got up and went in search of his weapons. Only for when he took a step he received a sudden blow to his back that caused him to lose his balance and fall directly on the ground.

"What ? he wondered painfully. He turned his gaze back, and a short distance away was a dark green skinned Kobold looking at him while holding a sling in his hands and a sword on the ground a short distance away from him.

Gabriel, seeing this, understood the meaning of the final scream that the Kobold gave, it was not a last scream before dying, but a way of calling his ally to take revenge on his murderer.

Angry with himself for the stupid oversight, he stood up while holding his spear. Only to cringe from the throbbing pain in his back, the damage was greater than he expected and it was making it hard for him to move freely.

Gritting his teeth, he straightened up and looked at his weapon, originally he thought that the next fight would use the Sword, but due to the unexpected situation he could only use the spear again.

"I guess it will be next time" he murmured as he shifted his gaze to his opponent.

The Kobold felt the watchful gaze of the human, so without saying a word he prepared a rock and put it in his slingshot, quickly turning it around and shooting it towards him with great speed and dexterity.

Even so, Gabriel easily dodged the Kobold's attack. Even with the pain caused by the Kobold's surprise attack, his strengthened body could move enough to dodge such a predictable and slow attack.

The Kobold, seeing that its attack failed, did not try to attack again with the slingshot. Rather, he threw his weapon to the ground and took the sword that was resting on the ground.

Holding the Sword in his dominant (left) hand, the Kobold slowly walked towards the human, keeping the sword pointed at the human's body at all times. Once the distance between the two of them was only a few meters, he stopped.

His eyes did not stop looking at Gabriel's spear, while Gabriel did not stop looking at the Kobold's feet. The first to make a move would have the advantage, but there would also be risks in doing so.

After a long game of staring, finally the first to take action was Gabriel.

He quickly closed the distance between them and thrust towards the Kobold with his spear. Who quickly deflected the blade with his sword and tried to hit Gabriel quickly with it to push him away or kill him if possible.

Gabriel made no attempt to defend or deflect, but quickly dropped his weapon and lunged at the Kobold in the small gap between the Kobold and his sword's range. He was surprised by the crazy movement of the human and tried to switch his attack to the human.

Gabriel, without even hesitating, took out the Dagger that he summoned from among his clothes and directed it towards the Kobold's chest. He couldn't do much to stop the human's sudden attack, only watching in disbelief as the dagger pierced his chest with ease.

The Kobold felt blood well up in his chest and pool in his throat. As soon as the human finished killing him, he dropped his weapon and punched with all his strength at the human's face.

The attack was strong enough to break his nose and knock him to the ground. The Kobold withdrew the dagger from his chest and quickly threw it at the human, who due to the pain could not react in time to dodge, so before it plunged into his chest he quickly crossed his arms, seeing himself stabbed by it in the right arm.

He groaned in pain from both the intense pain coming from his arm and his face, now the pain he felt from his back was nothing compared to them. He gritted his teeth and stood up quickly, removing the dagger from his arm only to see a lot of blood spurt from the gaping wound.

"Shit, I think it was a better idea to leave the dagger there" he muttered as he covered his wound with his shirt, now he couldn't care less if he was topless , his life was much more important than that.

It was at that moment that he saw how the Kobold tried to pick up his sword, only to stumble and fall to the ground due to the large amount of blood that gushed from his chest. It doesn't take him half a minute to take his last breath and look at the world.

The Kobold was dead.

Gabriel, seeing how the Kobold's life ended, felt a warm sensation enveloping his entire body and strengthening him.

With a look of joy, he felt how slowly the wound on his arm was being repaired. Taking off his shirt soaked in blood, he saw how now there was not a single trace of the wound that had gone through to the bone before.

Sighing with relief, he looked down at his shirt, now clearly useless. Blood had soaked through the shirt, and the already torn fabric was worse than before, so unfortunately he would have to dispose of it.

With a pitiful look I set her aside. Now he was less protected than before, although the shirt gave him practically no protection, it was better than nothing.

I walk over to the kobold and look at it, if it had taken more time I probably would have bled to death before the kobold could die to level it up.

It was also lucky that the exp needed to level up wasn't missing too much, if by some misfortune he lacked exp to level up he could only die.

His surprise Dagger attack tactic was only partially successful, but next time he would not be willing to resort to such a self-defeating method. Originally he should have daggered and backed away, but the Kobold reacted too quickly for his luck, so he ended up not only being countered but also having his dagger returned in the worst possible way.

Averting his gaze from the Kobold, he prepared to head straight out of this place. He didn't want to spend another second in this place in case more Kobolds came, even though it had been a while since the death of the first one, it was still a hidden danger that he didn't intend to take.

Retrieving his weapons, he quickly left the place.
