So, it was brought to my attention that some people believe these chapters are too short. My whole goal when I started this was to write a thousand words a day, get into writing and get myself back into a creative swing of things. No matter the outcome, I would continue on with this plan. However, would you rather it changed to one post every six days, but that one post is a day in her life? Or keep the current bit, where I release my thousand words each day? Or just post them in batches where i release all the chapters for a day on here at once? I will not change my writing to accommodate this. it will just be added in editing. Patreon will maintain the 1000 words a day chapter regardless, as I am using that to keep track and stay honest about my personal writing goals. Any questions, comments, or concerns are all welcome and greatly appreciated, as I am quite new to this whole posting my creativity and rambling to the world thing.

to be honest its wrong to make a poll like this.
I would say it all depends on the flow of the chapter and how much you want to put into the chapter.
What might be the best thing to do is to try to write for a while until you have 2-5k words and then decide what makes most sense to you and how it progresses the story. decide if you want to use 1k, 2k or anywhere up to 5k pr chapter.
you can experiment a little and look at different option and see what you prefer. Good and interesting storys will always have one problem, us the readers want to read more asap. be it 1k word chapters or 20k word chapters, that doesnt change.
so its up to you as the author to make the choice for whats best for the story and your writing schedule. the rest of us just have to adapt and be happy you continue to write til the end and not stopping in the middle which so many ppl do.
I havent made up my mind what to vote as I like all of the options.
i am mostly doing this for feedback and opinions. as i stated, i will not change how long i write or how much i write, just wondered what kind of release schedule people would like. most likely if i do end up doing the 5000 word chapter option, i am gonna put all of the 1000 word chapters i wrote and make it just one giant post just using line breaks to separate them or combine them with minimal editing as most of the chapters i write i try and flow off the previous chapter at least a little. nothing will change on my end writing wise, the only thing that may change is how often chapters get uploaded here

I would enjoy longer chapters more, like 5k+ once a week. Its a different level of enjoyment if you can sit down with a mug of coffee and read/enjoy a chapter for 30min~ instead of 5min~ everyday.
I also think that longer chapters a better for the flow of the story if you use that option but in the end its something you have to decide for yourself. Im grateful either way.
@tahu653 More detailled chapter, yep i love the idea : let the story take her time, and have a little more about what the protag thing, what is in her head ? This kind of thing are good for this setting, i think ?
But for the other thing, i will said option 4 : the shedule is totaly your, and be able to read your work is already the best we can ask. Beside ... trying to burden yourself with this "forced" planing is the best way to burn out yourself and start to let your work died ... well, at last it is for me. So in other world : do the better for yourself author !

Polls long done, but I thiught I'd give my opinion. Chapter length is nice so far, and it feels right as it is. I would keep any long chapters for special chapters or different POV chapters so we could more easily understand another characters thought process. Hopefully you don't burn out on content. This novel is great so far.
I believe the current schedule is fine. If you ever feel like you need to change the pacing, possibly wait until you have a significantly large portion of the story done and see if you would like to change how it flows. Maybe use that edited version as a Patreon Edition?
TBH I'm fine with it the way it is right now, but then again I would be fine with whatever you decide as long as we still get releases in general. I'm sort of struggling with the same question myself with something I want to start (hopefully) soon, so really the right answer is "whatever you're comfortable with."
For those who don't like how short the chapters are, stop reading every day and read once or twice a week.

I really like how you release the chapters right now. It's nice and short every day (i.e. perfect for someone like me who likes reading on the train etc). Longer chapters demand more time at once which I just don't have and splitting them myself is kinda
...
So, please: If you decide to reduce the frequency of releases please keep the chapters short. Whether ppl read them all at once or one at a time is their own business then ;-)
PS: I like your story very much. The characters are all fleshed out and the pacing feels right.
2k, this is what most consider "normal" chapter length, so 1 chapter every 2 days?
But as chapter sizes may involve pacing/ cliffs this isn't simply stiching 2 chapter together so go with what you are more comfortable
