The last poll is quite intense. However, 'decline' won by extra 2 votes.

"Thank you for your generous offer, Commander Lydia but I'm afraid that I have to decline that offer." Tryx decided to decline her offer.

He doesn't even know if this Kingdom is actually a good guy or not. There were like tons of guys who were acting all good but they turn out to baddies in the next few campaign of some sort. He's seen a lot of series to know where this direction goes and surely, he refuses to commit some war cries in the next plot twist that will soon to come. Plus, he barely know about this world. There might be other countries that he can visit. Until you know who's the good guy and the bad guy is, its better avoid to join the military. Perhaps there might be other profession that fits his game?

Though, the game itself is called 'Warfighter' and its all about conflict and wars, so...

"How humble of you, most people would accept the offer instantly. You're the first to decline my offer." Lydia replied.

"Well, I just got on this land. It would be wise for me to try and get use to this land first. There are still lot of things I wanted to see."

Lydia nodded, "Very well then, may you found what you seek, Mr. Tryx."

He bowed slightly to her as a sign of respect. "See you again, Commander Lydia. If I excuse myself once again." now, he's free to leave. Time to search for a place to crash and see what he received for killing those orcs. As he was thought of sleeping, something crossed his mind. "Wait, where do I sleep?" he thought as he has no idea if there are any hotels or inns in this town. Hell, he barely know anything about Booby Town itself! Wait, he can still turn to one person. "Say, Commander Lydia." he turned around and looked onto the red haired woman. "Do you happen to know where could I stay for the moment?"

Lydia smiled and crossed her arms, "Well, you can stay here." oh wow, its like you're being treated as a guest of a honor! "Only if you join my 18th Corps!"

Damn, this woman isn't gonna stop chasing him, is she?

Nice try redhead, but this boi already have a reason to live and its not going to be joining the military.

Tryx simply laughed at her statement taking it as a joke instead of mocking her, "Nice offer but as I said earlier - I refuse to join the military."

Lydia also chuckled, taking it as a joke as well. "Shame. I thought I was able to change your mind just now." Letting out her final laugh, she eventually straight to the point. "There is an inn under my friend's management, you should be able to stay there for a while. The inn was called 'The Woods'. The price isn't that expensive, I believe it would be affordable for you. You should be able to find it, the inn has a bird symbol at the signboard."

"Once again, thank you." He bowed again. "I'll take my leave then."

"I hope that we can meet again in the future again someday, Mr. Tryx."

Meeting with her again? In the future? Nah. She's probably trying to get in his head and force you join her corps.

But then again, meeting them again would so bad after all. Who knows if they might need your help again?

"Well, let's just hope so." Tryx said reluctantly.

And so, he left the room and head outside of the building. By the time the reincarnated gamer stepped out into the scene, the sky have started to darkened. Only strings of glowing orange lights are on the sky. The fortress wall is so high that he couldn't tell if the sun had already set. But one thing is for sure, it is going to be dark soon enough. There are several lampposts with stones starting glow brightly on itself. Are those magic stones? That was the first question that came in his mind. Either way, it doesn't matter right now. First thing's first, better get some place to crash. Better find that inn.

As Tryx was about to move out, a voice called him.

"Are you done with your business?" he turned around and saw Yuwen at his right. Funny, he initially have thought that she might've run away from all that bullying.

"Yeah, sort off... And why are you still here?"

"Still waiting for Lydia's orders."

"Ah, I see... Anyways, you know the inn called 'The Woods'?"

"Yes, I used to stay there with Lydia until we were rotated out for missions. Did she recommend the inn to you?"

"Yup."

"Well, do you know where it is?" Yuwen smirked, its as if she's mocking him.

Oh well, let's just play along with her game.

"Nope." Tryx shook your head, "Would you mind show me the way, Yuwen?" he made a reluctant smile. He knew she's gonna make some annoying smug at him for having no sense of direction.

"Fufufufu..." the elf puffed out her chest and crossed her arms, "Why would I help you when you said mean thing to me back then?"

"Because that's the truth."

"Hey!" Yuwen retorted. Whoops, it seems that triggered her. The elf was about to burst in anger based on her reactions, but she managed to hold back and breathe in deeply. "You know what? Let's just head to the inn. The night has already come."

"Fine by me." he shrugged.

With that, the two of them proceed to walk into the bustling town street.

After walking down the street for 10 minutes, they eventually found the inn.

"Here it is Tryx!" Yuwen gestured at the inn like a tourist guide.

The two of them stood before the large 4 story building covered in red and brown paint with some vines along the wall. Like Lydia's description, there is a bird symbol at the signboard. He may not be a designer but he's gotta admit, the design looks good for a middle age standards. He's seen a lot of styles back in the original world as well. Although, what's more interesting is that he can read the sign despite the fact the letters looked like an ancient letters. They popped up like a subtitles in a movie. Hell, they might even be speaking weird languages right now! Perhaps, he should check the settings. Maybe they hold some secrets.

"Come on in!" Yuwen pulled him into the premise.

The bell rang as soonest the door opened revealing a reception counter behind the door. The interior was well designed like the exterior of the building itself. It was clean and well maintained. Like the exterior, there are some vines used as a decoration to fit the name of the inn itself. He initially thought that the entire building would be made out of woods but it was trying to capture the mood within the woods, the forest itself. Gotta give it a like, whoever thought of this is really brilliant.

"Welcome to the Woods!" a girl jumped in front of them, she had a short brown hair with a pair of rabbit ears on top of her head. Her green eyes were glittering full of happiness. To add the cherry on top, she wears a black maid uniform with short skirt that reveals her legs.

"Ah, Villi!" Yuwen greeted.

"Eh, Yuwen?!" The beast girl named Villi surprised, "What are you doing here? Came to sleep for another night? And what is that outfit you're wearing? And what happened to your hand?!"

"Err... I'll explain later, an acquaintance of mine wishes to stay here." Yuwen slapped his shoulder lightly pushing the man forward to show Villi her newest tenant.

"Is that so?" Villi's ears twitched, a sign of interest. Her green eyes then locked onto onto him, she looked at the reincarnated gamer from the top to the bottom. "Oh, welcome to the Woods!"

"Good evening." he replied. Though, he was still ogling her nonstop since this is the first time he encounter a real deal, 3D beast woman.

Tryx has no idea what to describe such feeling when he saw her. After all, he didn't expect to meet a real bunny girl when he stepped into this inn. The only time people get to see a real life bunny girl is during the weeb convention since most cosplayers usually dresses up as those famous characters. But the one in front of him, is the real deal. Hot damn, isekai is the best shit! He wondered if he could touch those fluffy ears. Wait, will she get pregnant just from touching?

"Tryx, you are spacing out again." Yuwen brought him back to reality.

"Huh? What?" Tryx looked around in confusion. Damn, he need to stop spacing out.

Yuwen simply let out a sighed, "I'm sorry, Villi. He's a newcomer on this land."

"It's fine. Would you kindly head to the reception desk, please." Villi guides both of them to the reception desk. The beast girl then walks behind the counter and began sorting out some papers. "By the way, Yuwen... How is Lady Baltazuer doing?"

"She's doing well. Though, I might have worried her too much." Yuwen replied with a wry smile. Her tone also differs from her usual snobby one liners. Is she really that close to Lydia?

"By the way sir..." Villi looked back at the newest tenant. "How long do you plan to stay?"

How long? He never thought of that before.

"For one week." that should do it, he got plenty of time to look for a job before heading elsewhere.

"Would you like food to be included?" Villi asked.

"Yes." Free food? Hell yeah.

"The price would be 10 Munis." the bunny girl stated.

Munis? Is that their standard currency? Just how many is 10 Munis anyway? He has a whole bag lots of gold coins and he has no idea how many they were worth either. Damn, now he's gotta start learn the value. Either way, he has no choice but to pay her with gold coin. He can search for small changes later.

"How would that worth in gold coins? Because I only have gold coins with me." Tryx asked hesitantly.

"Oh, you mean 100 Munis? Sure, you can pay with the gold coin. Only one coin is needed, sir." Villi replied.

"Is that so?" Huh, so one gold coin is equivalent to 100 Munis. Then, just how worth are the rest of them? "Well then, I'd gladly pay it."

He reached out to the utility pouch and grabbed a single gold coin and pays her. Villi then puts the coin into one of the drawers and grabs a key with a wooden tag and next to it a satchel full of coins.

"That would be all." she said as Villi hands over the key and the satchel. "Your room is number 8 at the first floor. The bath is next to that stairs if you are wondering." She points at a small archway leading to another room with symbols on it next to the stairs.

"Er... What is this?" Tryx asked as he pointed at the satchel in his other hand. The weight just feels like another set of gold coins but lighter.

"Its your change, sir. 100 Munis is quite big sum, you know?"

Just how many coins did he got this time?! Just as he showed a worried face, Yuwen stepped in.

"I'm sorry, he is still trying to understand how the currencies work here!"

"It's fine! You just arrived here after all!" Villi waved her hand. "Oh sir, may you have a wonderful stay!"

"Thank you." He took the key and turned towards the elf, "Thanks for showing the way, Yuwen."

"Heh, of course you're useless without me." Again, with that snobby attitude. "Consider that our debt is paid."

You blinked. "Debt?"

"Well, you saved me... Didn't you?"

Ah, she meant that. Guess she is a good girl after all. But then again, she might just go all snobby in the next few seconds. That's the only annoying thing about her.

"Anyways, I need to go now. "

"Eh, you don't want to stay  around for dinner, Yuwen?" Villi asked.

"No thanks, can't keep Lydia waiting! Maybe next time!" the elf then opens the door, readying to leave the premise. "Say, Tryx..."

"Yeah?" Damn, is she gonna say something warm and cool like those in the anime? Wait, he's seen this pattern before...

"Let's just hope that we don't meet again!" She gave a smug.

Called it.

"You heard me, I refuse to be saved by you again! Hey, Villi! If this boy starts peeking at the women's bath, let me know and I shall break his face! So long, Tryx!" Yuwen leaves the premise and disappeared into the dark street.

Silence filled the atmosphere for a brief moment.

Tryx eventually sighed, "That girl sure loves to boast around. Well, time to crash in the room." the man left the lobby and climbed the stairs.

As soonest he set foot on the first floor, there are several rows of door across the hallway. All of doors have number on it, he walked by and inspect every number to find the designated room. At the end of the hallway, there is a window that shows the scene from the other side of the building. He might have to take note about this building's interior and create an escape plan as well in case someone is chasing him. You can never be too carefree these days. Especially in the fantasy world.

As Tryx walked by every door, he finally reached the room. Number 8.

"Guess this is it." He insert the key into the hole and unlock the door. Once he entered and locked the door, the room was swallowed into darkness. Only the lights from the street lightened the room. "Damn... Its dark in here." He scanned the room for any source of light that could illuminate the room. Right on top of the table, he noticed a 10cm long candle. Next to it, there is a box of matches. He pick out one of the matches and light it up along with the candle. "There we go." Now, the room is illuminated in light.

The room has a single bed, a table, a chair, a wardrobe and a drawer to keep your personal belongings. The room also has a single window to entertain the tenants with the simple view of the street outside. Overall, its just like a normal 2 or 3 star hotel back in your world. The only thing that you lack is the bathroom. Villi did said that the bath is at the ground floor, guess its just like one of those open bath. Just as he would expected from a fantasy world with medieval settings. But then again, why aren't they using magic stones to illuminate the room just like the ones are installed in the lamp posts? Is it rare? For now, its best he looked at the stats for now. The more he thinks, the more headache he gets.

He took off the PPEs and stored them in the wardrobe. Those extra weights have started to get on his nerves and muscles already. Not to mention, the entire vest makes him feel sweaty just from wearing from it. Thanks to the cold air, he felt cool all over the body. Since it wasn't enough, he took off the combat pants and boots leaving a single red boxer on him and a pair of socks at the feet. He needed those two to warm himself.

"Damn, now I'm all eager to grind harder for new clothes!" He lay down on the bed, the bed and the pillow isn't that great but at least its better than sleeping at the street. As soonest he fixed the pillow, He opened up the status screen. "Let's just change the gears and uniform, I ain't wearing this anymore!" as soonest the screen pops up, there is warning symbol on the player info. He know what this means. "Huh, what do we have here?" he said as he tapped the symbol.

Like earlier, the animation plays showing you leveled up and your stats:

[collapse]

Oh wow, He have now unlocked several branded apparels and gears. He even unlocked a cross bike! Wow, killing a single large orc and several small fries really boosted up his level. There's also FN FAL! Time to make Rhodesia great again!

But for now, apparels can be decided tomorrow. Right now, he needs to check up on the new kill streak and perks. He closed the window and returns to the 'player info' main screen. He tapped at the perks and there, two new perks have been unlocked for their respective spot.

In 'Warfighter : Online', much like its other series titles have three separate perks that was divided according to tiers. Each of them has an effect to player that chooses the perks according to their choice.

In Tier 1, Tryx have already set 'auto heal' in the spot. Now, he needs to fill up Tier 2 and Tier 3. Tryx access the Tier 2 and there, only one is unlocked. But it doesn't matter, he tapped on the newly unlocked icon and read the description:

Tier 2 Perks
{Double XP}
Doubles the amount of XP with every kill. Kill streaks are also affected by this perk.

Ah yes, the most important perk for beginners. Just what he needed. If he gets more XP, he can gain more points and raise up the level quicker. This is the most common method used by newbies to raise their level and unlock more newer and powerful items. Plus, players can gain newer perks and kill streaks faster! Now, that is a good strategy. He set it as Tier 2 perks and hoping that he can kill more. Not in a GTA sense, he'll probably join an adventurer or hunter association or something. He then moves on to Tier 3 slot and like the Tier 2, only one is unlocked. He tapped and read the description:

Tier 3 Perks
{Fast as Lightning}
Your speed increases by 40%

Huh, not that much but at the very least he's light as a feather. Plus, that body armor slows him down while operating so... Eh, doesn't matter.

Next, he moved on to the kill streak. The game 5 slots of kill streaks, unlike most games that only has 3. Having 5 different kill streak in the game is a game changer, this can literally smash your enemies' morale and strength. Like perks, only one is unlocked. Tryx scanned over the closest kill streak. The only thing je cringed was not getting a 'mounted turret' that can only be unlocked at level 14 and 'mortar support' at level 15. Those two are essentially what the newbies need in the start of the game but to think that he didn't reach enough level. But then again, at least he unlocked one kill streak. He tapped on the unlocked icon and read the description:

{RC-X}
A remote controlled radio car armed with combination of C-4 bomb and metal bearings that can be detonated from afar. The range of the car go up to 100 meters and the bomb will destroy any opponent within 10 meter radius.

Oh, this brings back memories! The bane for every player in the early game. Players would chase each other with these things across the map. Now, this is practically less used since everyone wanted to be juggernaut these days. How time flies so fast. He slapped the 'OK' button, setting it as your  new kill streak. He still have no idea how to use this one but it might come handy in the next hunt.

KNOCK KNOCK

A loud knocking could be heard from the door. He looked at the door and a voice could be heard

"Mr. Tryx? Are you in there?"

From the voice, it was Villi. Why would she come here anyway?

"Yeah, I'm here." Tryx grabbed the G18 right next to him and slowly approach the door. Who knows she might be planning something bad. He unlocked the door and opened it just to peek between the opening until the view of her face could be seen. "Oh, its you..." he pretend to act like he was surprised by her presence. "Is there anything you need?"

"Uhm, would you like to eat? Its almost time for dinner." Villi asked.

He almost forgot that he paid for food as well. Tryx scanned the hallway for any weird signs but there are no other person in the hallway. Which means he's good to go. Wait, you're not wearing any pants!

"Yeah, I'll be down for a minute." Now, that should do it.

"Well then, I will be waiting." Villi bowed and took her leave immediately. As soonest she left, he shut the door and locked it again.

"God damn... That literally spooked me just now..." Tryx grabbed the combat pants and dons it. "Alright... This should do it."

He stepped out of the room and locked the door.

The only thing he needed tonight is a good meal, a warm bath and a good sleep.

Tomorrow, he will start searching for new adventure.

Announcement
No poll this time, again. It seems I caught fever and can only write a few sets of lines. But I'm already working on new chapter. Anyway, Happy New Year guys!

Edit 5/1/20: I have changed the coins to a dedicated currency. These are the following equivalent:

100 Munis - 1 Gold Coin = 100 Dollars

50 Munis - 1 Silver Coin = 50 Dollars

10 Munis - 1 Bronze Coins = 10 Dollars

5 Munis - 5 Copper Coins = 5 Dollars

1 Munis - 1 Copper Coins = 1 Dollars

I'm still experimenting with it, so it might change in the future.
