Unlike the other great races struggling against the demon invasion, the Serpentine Clan easily defended Amphilia thanks to King Hervis's overwhelming presence and power. Their concern wasn't the invasion itself, it was that their king would clean up everything without them even having to lift a single finger.
Komraad fought by King Hervis’s side for only the first few minutes. Worried about Princess Cyrene’s well-being, he chose to offer his assistance to her instead. Knowing King Hervis's power and how he hadn’t managed to beat him even once during their multiple rematches, Komraad rushed toward Khesha Kingdom, assuming they were facing the same demon crisis.
Traveling from Amphilia to Khesha Kingdom would normally take days, so Komraad transformed into his Awakened State to shorten the travel time using his immense speed.
Typically, a chosen one could only transform to their awakened state once a day because the mana/aura drain was intense. Yet, through his countless duels with King Hervis, Komraad had trained himself to transform a maximum of three times a day. He never won against the King, but those fights taught him more than any victory could, strengthening both his mind and body.
Meanwhile, King Hervis was getting impatient, bored by the inferior and superior demons. He got way more satisfaction from sparring with Komraad than from fighting these small fries. He wasn't even using his legendary spear, the ‘Sky Splitter’, against the demons because they posed zero threat.
Thankfully, his boredom finally broke when he noticed a powerful presence nearby. It was the demon general assigned to face him. King Hervis couldn't wait any longer, so he decided to take the fight to him, flying as quickly as possible toward the general’s location.
The demon general hovered near the enormous demon portal that had ripped open above Amphilia. He was just floating there, completely unbothered, while a swarm of demons poured from the portal to cause chaos down on the ground. The general was covered in a black cloak, much like Ruth, but this cloak wasn't hiding his ominous presence at all. King Hervis could feel the bloodlust seeping out, which was why he was so intrigued.
King Hervis arrived and immediately released his overwhelming presence, establishing dominance. “I am the King and the Chosen One of this kingdom. Demon, reveal yourself,” he demanded.
Without a word, the demon general removed his black cloak, revealing a towering, broad-shouldered man. His posture was slumped, as if his strength had been sucked right out of him. Heavy, broken chains clung to his wrists and a thick iron loop hung around his neck like a cruel collar. His face was unsettlingly empty: no eyebrows, lifeless eyes sunk deep behind dark circles, and a shaved hair that made him look like a prisoner.
King Hervis couldn't help but smile, a shot of intense exhilaration giving him hope that this battle would finally bring the satisfaction he craved. “Tell me who you are, demon. I want to remember your name before I defeat you,” he demanded again.
Instead of answering, the demon started muttering depressing words that only he could hear. “It must be nice being the Chosen One. You can just order everyone around who’s weaker than you. You can look down on everyone without consequence, and no one dares disagree. How I envy you.”
King Hervis caught none of it. “Speak up, demon. You’ve got a massive body, but your voice is tinier than an insect.”
“Sigh… this is exactly what I’m talking about,” the demon general muttered once more. He finally spoke up, though still not loudly enough for a battle cry. “Thank you for proving my point. I am Henry, one of the Great Demon Generals, and now I can finally do what I came here for… give you a taste of your own power,” he revealed.
Henry used his ability without hesitation, knowing he was facing the strongest Chosen One. “I offer five decades of my life force,” he mumbled.
[Forbidden Cursed Technique: Phantom Replica]
After calling the technique, a thick, dark mist completely engulfed his body. What was revealed afterward was both unbelievable and terrifying. When the dark mist dispersed, Henry had transformed into King Hervis himself. A perfect copy, from his physical appearance to his overwhelming presence, mana, and power. His curse ability was so flawless, it was indistinguishable from the original.
Pitting this demon general against the strongest Chosen One was a calculated move by the mastermind behind all the chaos. After all, who else could stand face-to-face with King Hervis but King Hervis himself?
Seeing his own reflection in the enemy sent shivers down King Hervis’s spine, but it wasn't fear, it was pure excitement. “Interesting… I’ve always wondered what it’s like facing myself. Now I finally get the answer to that,” King Hervis declared with a massive grin.
“Enough talking! Let’s fight!” Henry yelled back, perfectly mimicking King Hervis’s voice.
“Now you’re speaking my language!” King Hervis shouted excitedly.
Without wasting another second, the two engaged, exchanging blows whose shockwaves were felt throughout the entire kingdom. Their attacks sent tremors across the land. Even unfortunate inferior and superior demons caught nearby were instantly turned into casualties.
The two were a perfect match in physical prowess, and every martial arts technique King Hervis knew, Henry knew how to do as well. Whatever King Hervis dished out, Henry could copy it. Besides copying his appearance and power, it was as if Henry had all of King Hervis’s memories and battle experience embedded in his mind.
Knowing his own power, King Hervis decided to get a little more serious and used magic for the first time since their match started. After gaining some distance from Henry, King Hervis unleashed one of his signature spells.
[Storm Magic: Thunderclap Roar]
He clapped his hands as hard as he could, producing a shockwave of pure electricity aimed right at Henry.
Henry defended himself by immediately casting Boreal’s Veil, King Hervis’s wind-based defensive magic, the exact same spell the King used to defend against Awakened Komraad’s ultimate technique during their very first match.
King Hervis was genuinely surprised. He thought Henry was only able to copy his appearance and strength. He never imagined Henry could use his storm magic as well, and at the same level of power.
This revelation made King Hervis even more hyped for the coming battle. “It’s been a decade since I’ve felt this much joy in a fight… Ahh, how I’ve longed for this feeling,” he muttered to himself.
The two continued exchanging blows, but this time, they included offensive and defensive magic in their arsenal, making the fight even more intense. Just like before, the two remained on equal footing in strength, power, magic, and technique. Their magic output was so perfectly matched that they were basically just canceling each other’s spells out.
Their fight dragged on for a while until King Hervis finally started to feel the toll on his body. For the first time, he was pushed to his absolute limit, something Komraad had never managed to do.
The outcome of the fight would clearly be decided by who ran out of stamina first. Before that happened, King Hervis decided to stop holding back and end the clash.
He wanted to savor his fight with Henry, but he noticed his people down in Amphilia were starting to get pushed back by the horde of demons pouring from the portal. The longer he dragged the fight, the more his people would suffer. As a King and a leader, he finally decided to stop fooling around.
King Hervis paused, fixed his composure, and let his absolute authority radiate. “Rejoice, Henry. For you will be the very first demon to witness my greatness,” he declared.
He then called upon the Titan of Storm. “Sai, your King needs you,” he commanded.
Sai instantly burst forth from King Hervis's heart, heeding the call. “How may I serve you, my liege?” He said with respect and finesse.
“It’s time we remind our enemy why we are feared by everyone,” King Hervis stated. He followed with his command, “Titan of Storm and Vitality… awaken me into my true godly form. ‘Soul Merge!’”
“As you wish, my liege,” Sai responded. He re-entered King Hervis’s heart, and the transformation into the Awakened State began.
Everything fell still. Even the thunder paused in the distance, and the winds waited on the edge of silence. Then, a pulse of emerald light surged from his chest, beating like a heart of living lightning.
The air around him quivered, trembling as currents of wind crackled to life. Emerald sparks raced across his skin, tracing the outlines of serpent scales that shimmered like gemstones. His long, dark hair began to lift, strands glowing with a fierce green light.
A second pulse thundered outward, and his clothes shredded into lightning. In their place, a new form materialized: A divine emerald armor. His serpent’s tail uncoiled and shimmered, shedding an iridescent glow as if made from lightning itself.
As the transformation reached its peak, the heavens responded. The air around him glowed in emerald hue, winds spiraling around him in violent reverence.
Then, his eyes opened, bright and glowing with the fury and wrath of the storm.
Unlike the other Chosen Ones, King Hervis had been honing his power since he was little, so there were no downsides or time limits to his Awakened State. He had complete mastery and control over his form and power, which was why he was deemed the strongest Chosen One across the land.
The only reason he didn’t transform often was that he ended up annihilating everything in his path if he did. Sometimes, even his allies were caught in the aftermath if he wasn't careful with his power in this state. He despised one-sided battles, finding nothing fun or exciting about them, so he abstained. What he truly sought was a godly battle where he could feel an intense rush of blood and experience what it was like to be on death’s door, believing it was the only thing he needed to finally reach the peak of his power.
After his transformation, everyone felt King Hervis’s overwhelming presence. His presence alone was enough to make nearby demons pass out. Even Komraad felt the presence from miles away, that’s how powerful King Hervis was in his Awakened State. The entire sky was blanketed in thick, dark thunderclouds in response to his transformation.
“Be proud, Henry. You’re the very first opponent to witness my greatness. Not even my people and fellow Chosen Ones have ever seen me in my true form,” King Hervis revealed.
Instead of showing intense fear in the presence of an Awakened King Hervis, Henry wore a wide smirk and a determined look. “I told you already, I’ll make you taste your own power.”
Henry transformed and copied King Hervis’s Awakened Form as well.
The Awakened Form should only be exclusive to Chosen Ones because it requires the spirit of the Titan to be activated, but Henry managed to flawlessly copy King Hervis’s Awakened Form using his forbidden cursed technique. Not only did he perfectly copy every detail of the King’s new form, but he also managed to copy his overwhelming strength and power.
King Hervis was speechless, but not because he felt fear for the first time. It was because he realized he might actually reach the peak of power he was seeking by defeating Henry, who had perfectly copied him inside and out.
The two didn't utter another word. Their fists and magic did all the talking. They engaged in a gruesome final fight, this time at an incomprehensible level.
Each of their punches sent shockwaves and earthquakes across the land, and their exchange of spells was so powerful it could level an entire mountain in mere seconds.
King Hervis was having the time of his life battling Henry. He had never felt such excitement in his entire life as a Chosen One and wanted to cherish every moment. He wanted their fight to last until he was close to death’s door, but he suddenly noticed that their fight was putting everything he was meant to protect in danger.
He worried that if their clash continued, it could cost him the entire Kingdom of Amphilia and his people. Choosing between his entertainment and his people was a no-brainer. He was willing to sacrifice his long-awaited dream of achieving the peak of power for the safety of his people and kingdom.
Without wasting another second, King Hervis settled on the best course of action. “I give you my gratitude for giving me the chance to fight myself. It’s been fun while it lasted, but it’s time I put an end to this fight once and for all,” King Hervis declared.
“Tsk… Arrogant people like you really never learn anything! I’ll be the one ending this fight, not you!” Henry snapped back.
If there was something Henry misunderstood about King Hervis, it was his personality. King Hervis’s confidence didn't come from arrogance. It was backed up by his absolute belief that he was the most powerful Chosen One, and a clear mindset like that can’t be easily shattered.
King Hervis knew that Henry had perfectly copied him from appearance to strength. If there was one thing that could defeat Henry, it was something he couldn't copy and the King knew exactly what that was.
He reached his right hand toward his castle down in Amphilia and called upon his legendary weapon, the ‘Sky Splitter’, which was located inside his throne room. In an instant, the spear appeared, teleporting directly into his right hand.
Henry was shocked upon seeing King Hervis’s legendary weapon. He knew it was the one thing he couldn’t copy, and the realization threw him off guard, causing him to panic.
With his legendary weapon now in hand, King Hervis poured all his mana into the ‘Sky Splitter’ for his final, most powerful attack. After fully charging it with his entire mana reserve, he finally unleashed it as a devastating attack toward Henry.
[Ultimate Storm Magic: Spear of Roaring Thunder]
King Hervis raised his spear and it began glowing in an emerald hue, its shaft humming with majestic, divine power as arcs of emerald thunder coiled around it. With a roar that shook the sky, he hurled the weapon forward. The spear became a streak of lightning shaped like a living serpent, splitting the air with blinding brilliance.
His attack was so fast that Henry didn't have time to cast a spell to defend against it.
In a split second, King Hervis’s attack tore a massive, gaping hole through Henry’s body, killing both the demon and its human host instantly. The attack didn't just leave a giant hole in Henry, it also split the thunderclouds above the sky, making his legendary weapon live up to its name.
“Aah… I was right to envy you. You really are the greatest,” Henry muttered before completely disintegrating into ashes.
In mere seconds, King Hervis achieved victory the moment he took things seriously, even against a tough opponent who was a perfect copy of himself.
After defeating Henry, the enormous portal above Amphilia vanished, its energy source, located inside Henry, now destroyed. This instantly halted the swarm of demons pouring out of it.
With his remaining strength, King Hervis cleaned up the last of the demons left inside Amphilia, earning him a complete victory against the invasion. But, like everyone else, he didn't know that it was just the start of something even bigger.
Minutes after King Hervis’s victory against Henry, Komraad finally arrived in Khesha Kingdom, the home of the Dragonscale Clan. He immediately de-transformed from his Awakened State to replenish some energy.
He was right with his assumption, Khesha Kingdom was facing the same demon problem, but unlike Amphilia, they were struggling badly against the invaders.
Komraad wanted to help the Dragonscale knights fend off the demons who had descended from the portal and entered their kingdom. However, he sensed a powerful presence inside their castle alongside the dimming presence of Princess Cyrene. From that information alone, Komraad instantly knew the princess was in grave danger. He wasted no time, heading immediately to the princess’s location, prioritizing her safety.
Upon entering the castle, Komraad witnessed a horrific sight. Princess Cyrene was heavily injured, her head bleeding, while being tightly held by the throat by the strong presence he had sensed earlier. That presence belonged to the final and only remaining demon general left to fight.
The demon’s human vessel took the shape of a lean, toned teenage boy with an air of defiance. His purple mohawk hair framed his sharp ruby eyes that gleamed with arrogance. His face bristled with rebellion, marked by glinting piercings across his lips, nose, ears, and brows. Every part of him screamed trouble, from his crooked smirk to the way he carried himself, chin raised, posture loud with pride, like a demon daring the world to challenge his rule.
The moment Komraad arrived and witnessed the gruesome scene, he didn't hesitate. He saved Princess Cyrene by kicking the demon general as hard as he could, sending him crashing into a nearby wall. He then carefully carried Princess Cyrene to safety.
“H-hey, you okay?” Komraad asked worriedly.
Cough Cough
“I-I think I’m fine… somehow,” Princess Cyrene responded weakly, trying to catch her breath.
“Okay then, take a rest and just leave everything to me,” Komraad assured her, his eyes locked on the demon general.
“Sorry for always having to depend on you,” Princess Cyrene apologized, sounding defeated.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll make sure to beat his butt for you,” Komraad responded proudly.
After their quick exchange, the demon general recovered from Komraad’s attack. He stood up like nothing happened, sporting only minor scratches. “Finally! Someone with guts showed up!” He shouted excitedly, his voice laced with an ominous tone.
He approached Komraad slowly, exuding a menacing presence, and spat something truly offensive. “That bitch of a Chosen One right there didn’t fight back at all, even after I badly beat her up. Can’t believe she’s the Chosen One my boss tasked me to deal with. Honestly, what a waste of potential and an embarrassment. She doesn’t deserve her title at all.”
Something boiled inside Komraad after hearing him trash talk Princess Cyrene, but for some reason, he remained unusually calm and composed, he didn't burst out in anger.
After ensuring Princess Cyrene was safe, he confronted the demon general, walking toward him while releasing his overwhelming aura to signal that he meant business.
The two came face-to-face, each with their own reason to fight. They exchanged words before facing each other in battle.
“I can sense that you’re a Chosen One, just like her. I don’t know what you’re doing here, but I guess this is my lucky day. I’m Hyde, the demon who will crush you!” The demon general taunted, forming his hand into a fist.
Komraad usually let his fists do the talking, but he needed to release his anger and frustration by responding to the taunt first. “You just committed two sins right now. First, you hurt a dear friend of mine, and second, you just talked trash about her without knowing anything at all. There’s no way I’m letting you out of here in one piece after that,” he said with pure, steady determination.
“We’ll find out about that soon,” Hyde responded, flashing a huge smirk.
Without further ado, the two engaged in a fierce battle. Each of their punches sent shockwaves throughout the castle, and each attack obliterated everything in their path.
Komraad being a Beastkin should have given him the advantage in power and speed, but Hyde managed to match him in both areas.
The two were equal in strength and speed at first, but as their fight continued, Komraad slowly gained the upper hand due to his rapid regeneration and aura manipulation. He not only empowered his attacks with aura, but he also covered his entire body with it to make himself more durable, which became the determining difference in their fight.
It took a while, but Komraad finally pushed Hyde to his limits, forcing him to be on the defensive the entire time. The moment Hyde sustained multiple injuries and damage, he decided it was time to stop holding back and use his ability.
“I offer ten decades of my life force,” Hyde muttered.
[Forbidden Cursed Technique: Siphoning Chain]
A dark, ominous aura surrounded Hyde’s entire body, and an unbreakable cursed chain appeared, linking his and Komraad’s souls together.
The sudden appearance of the cursed chain caught Komraad completely off guard. He tried breaking it with sheer force, even infusing his attack with aura, but it was indestructible. The chain could also extend infinitely, following wherever Komraad went. He didn't know what the chain was doing to him yet, but he knew he’d find out as they continued fighting.
“Unfortunately for you, this cursed chain will only disappear if either one of us ends up unconscious, so do your best, will ya?” Hyde informed him, grinning.
With that vital information in mind, Komraad immediately went into full offensive mode, trying to knock Hyde out. Hyde, on the other hand, focused solely on defending from his attacks, which immediately confused Komraad.
Komraad kept attacking, and as time passed, he started to notice that he was slowly getting weaker while Hyde’s strength and power were increasing each second they engaged in the fight. That’s when he realized the cursed chain's ability.
The cursed chain was slowly stealing his strength and power, transferring it to Hyde to make him even more powerful.
The reason Hyde was only defending was that he was playing the long game, waiting until he completely siphoned every drop of strength and power Komraad possessed. This would allow him to power up to an incomprehensible level and defeat Komraad at his absolute weakest state.
The transferring process was slow and steady. If the fight went on even a little longer, Komraad would definitely get all his power and stamina siphoned out of him and lose the fight.
Komraad realized Hyde's plan and knew he couldn’t let the fight drag on any longer, so he immediately used his trump card and tapped into his Awakened State once again. He merged his soul with Dot and transformed into his true form as a Chosen One.
After transforming, he went all-out on offense, trying to knock Hyde out as fast as possible to sever the link between their souls before it was too late. He poured all his aura into each of his punches to empower them even more. His attacks were working, and he managed to penetrate Hyde’s defense. Each punch reached its target, but for some reason, he couldn't knock Hyde out, even though each of his attacks could literally crush a giant boulder effortlessly.
Hyde’s sheer willpower was so strong that even after all the pain he received, he managed to stay conscious.
This worried Komraad, so he decided to use his ultimate technique to knock Hyde out for good.
[Ultimate Aura Manipulation Technique: Force Impact]
He charged all his remaining aura into his fist for his final, strongest punch and unleashed it directly toward Hyde’s face. Unfortunately for him, he was a second too late. Hyde had already siphoned so much strength and power out of him that he managed to easily catch Komraad's ultimate technique with his bare hand.
“Game over, Chosen One! Looks like it’s my win!” Hyde yelled, laughing menacingly with a huge grin and a prideful look on his face.
He put all his strength, including all the power he siphoned out of Komraad, and punched him with everything he had, causing Komraad to detransform and pass out.
Hyde’s forbidden cursed technique then vanished after Komraad passed out. The moment the cursed chain disappeared, all the power and energy Hyde siphoned from Komraad disappeared as well. Even though Hyde won, he still sustained massive damage from his fight. He was so exhausted that the only thing allowing him to move was his sheer will.
“Ha-ha! I’ve never been beaten this badly in the past hundred years I’ve been alive! You’re the first one to have pushed me this far. Not bad at all,” Hyde admitted proudly.
He totally believed it was his victory and was about to leave when something unexpected happened. Before he could even take a step, he was stopped and frozen in place by an overwhelming and beastly presence he felt behind him. This sent shivers down his spine, and upon looking back, he saw that the presence was coming from Komraad, who was already standing, even though it hadn’t been a full minute since he passed out.
“Haha… Are you goddamn serious right now? You really are a beast!” Hyde said in total disbelief.
Komraad was struggling, but he managed to regain a little bit of strength due to his regenerative capabilities. Just like Hyde, the only thing keeping him moving was his sheer will and determination.
“You’re not going anywhere. I promised myself that until I defeat Hervis, I will never lose to anyone else ever again!” Komraad declared, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.
“Fine! Bring it on!” Hyde responded proudly, taking a fighting stance.
For the last and final time, the two continued their fight. This time, no party tricks, abilities, or cursed power, just pure brawl and fistfight.
The one remaining standing at the end would depend on whose willpower was stronger. Fortunately for Komraad, without Hyde’s curse ability holding him back, he managed to attain victory, knocking Hyde completely unconscious with a final punch.
After winning, Komraad collapsed to the ground, unable to move from exhaustion. Princess Cyrene, on the other hand, had just recovered from her injuries.
Princess Cyrene slowly approached Komraad, who was on the brink of losing consciousness, and offered him her sincere gratitude. “Thank you as always, Komraad,” she said with a huge, genuine smile.
“Hehe, told you I’d kick his butt for you,” Komraad responded proudly, managing a weak grin.
Princess Cyrene’s smile immediately faded, replaced by a frown as she faced her own weakness. Tears began to well up as she spoke. “Even though we were both Chosen Ones, I always end up depending on you and needing you to save my butt. I never wanted to be the Chosen One of our clan, you know. I despised war, fighting, and violence since I was a kid because I hate getting hurt and hurting others. I always believed everything could be resolved with words, but now I realize that’s not always the case.” She quickly wiped away her tears.
“Right here, right now, I’m casting aside my personal beliefs so I can finally grow into the person I was meant to be.” She stood up, a fierce, unwavering determination burning in her eyes.
“Watching you fight made me finally understand why I was picked as the Chosen One. This time, I’ve decided I want to be more like you. Someone who fights not to hurt, but to protect!” She declared.
“Heh, I knew you always had that fire in you. Go get those demons!” Komraad cheered, his voice raspy, before finally passing out.
Even though the demon general had been defeated, the demon portal above them was still active. Komraad hadn’t known that the energy source was hidden inside Hyde all along. Without Hyde, the demons were still wreaking havoc, and the Dragonscale Knights were no match for them without their Chosen One to lead them. But now that Princess Cyrene had recovered and Hyde was out of the equation, she could finally step up to her duty as the Princess of Khesha Kingdom and the Chosen One of the Dragonscale Clan.
When the demon invasion started and the enormous portal appeared, Princess Cyrene was hesitant about what to do. She knew it was her responsibility as the Chosen One to fight for her people, but it went against her lifelong belief that violence wasn't the answer. Unfortunately, Hyde had appeared and beaten her up before she could even make a decision.
She was no match for Hyde because ever since she became the Chosen One as a little girl, she had only focused on studying defensive and supportive flame magic spells, purposely avoiding offensive spells because she didn't want to hurt anyone.
Even without offensive spells at her disposal, Princess Cyrene was confident she could still contribute. With her newfound purpose and a heart brimming with determination, she finally stepped up and gathered all the courage she needed. She had been unsure and hesitant, but Komraad’s actions had given her the inspiration she needed.
She walked onto a nearby balcony outside the castle, where she could see her entire kingdom and watch everything unfolding. She saw that even without her, her people and knights hadn't given up on defending their home. Even though they were overmatched by the demons, they were still trying their best to fend them off and protect what was precious to them. Seeing their tenacity fueled Princess Cyrene’s resolve.
“Everyone, I’m sorry for being late, and thank you for holding on this long. All of you must be scared, but I am here now,” Princess Cyrene whispered, her voice carrying a soft but firm resolve. She closed her eyes and held her hands together, calling for her trusty ally. “Cinder, please help me save and protect everyone.”
Cinder emerged from her heart, responding with a cute, tiny roar. Without further ado, Princess Cyrene tapped into her Awakened State. “Titan of Flame and Integrity, grant thy heart with warmth embrace… ‘Soul Merge!’”
Cinder re-entered her heart, and together, they transformed.
Everything fell still. Even the flames seemed to freeze, waiting in silence. Then, without warning, a deep pulse of scarlet light erupted from her chest, beating like a dragon’s heart set aflame.
The air around her shimmered, trembling as waves of heat spiraled outward. Crimson sparks licked across her skin, tracing the edges of the scales that gleamed like molten gems. Her long crimson hair began to lift, shifting as if alive, unraveling into a cascade of living fire.
A second pulse roared outward, and the elegant dress she wore dissolved into cinders, consumed by the inferno that rose to envelop her. From the ashes, a new form materialized: a regal dress woven from pure fire, the crimson fabric alive like waves of flame. Her scales gleamed brighter, fusing seamlessly with the divine attire. Behind her, her draconic tail ignited with light, and her horns shimmered, glowing like burning rubies.
As the transformation reached its peak, the world around her seemed to burn with reverence. The air around her glowed in a crimson hue, waves of heat spiraling in graceful arcs as embers drifted like falling stars.
Then, her eyes opened, bright and glowing with the fury and grace of the sun.
This wasn’t her first time transforming. Just like King Hervis, her transformation had no downsides or time limits. She had known since she was a little girl that she was the Chosen One of the Dragonscale Clan, and her parents, the King and Queen of Khesha Kingdom, had helped her control and manage her powers so she could hide it from everyone. They loved their daughter so much that they didn't want her power as a Chosen One to be used as a weapon for war. Because of her parents’ help, Princess Cyrene had managed to control her power and hide it from everyone, but now, she was ready to embrace her role and reveal to her people that she was their Chosen One this entire time.
Without wasting a second, Princess Cyrene gathered all her mana and used her ultimate magic.
[Ultimate Flame Magic: Blessing of the Eternal Flame]
Thousands of floating tiny flames appeared around Princess Cyrene. These tiny flames entered the bodies of everyone she deemed an ally, empowering them to a ridiculous degree. After the flames entered their bodies, their eyes began glowing with golden fire. Thanks to her ultimate magic, her people’s defensive and offensive capabilities skyrocketed, finally allowing them to hold their own against the demons.
Her ultimate magic was reminiscent of Raya’s, but hers took the concept to a whole new, powerful level.
Her people instantly realized that the surge of power they had just received came from their beloved and respected Princess, motivating them to fight even harder.
With Princess Cyrene’s help, her people were finally fending off the demons with ease, giving them the upper hand in the ongoing war.
Finally, within just the span of minutes, all the great races and their allies, alongside the Chosen Ones, managed to defeat all the demon generals and successfully fend off the demons that had invaded their homes.
