Neil woke up with a headache and saw teared down walls around him and got confused as he started remembering how he traveled what seemed to be either a parallel world or to the future.
Last he remembered he was getting drunk in a bar after he was fired from his job for missing his work when he had to go back to his home to Nagpur when his father was extremely sick.
Now as a single, unemployed recently graduated youth in the past paced city of Mumbai he faced two choices either find a low paying job in some small shop and continue his life at the lowest rung of society or go back to his hometown a small town which every youth hopes to leave.
Having decided that he did not had enough of the big city life Neil decided to enjoy the night drinking cheap beer in a bar before continuing his search for a job. He remembered that after he was returning from the bar, he accidentally bumped into telephone tower which seems to have electrocuted him. Recovering his senses Neil started looking around him, he seemed to be inside a worn-out house that looked to be at least 20-30 years old. Where most of the wooden furniture was either rotten or had fungus on it and rest of the room seemed to be covered in rubble. He stood up and started looking at his body to see whether he was fine or not when he discovered that there seemed to be a futuristic looking smartwatch in his hand. Looking at this watch Neil was stunned first of all for the fact that a smartwatch cost at least 20,000 INR which wasn't even his monthly salary and second by the fact that it seemed to possess only three apps one looking like a file folder named "storage" and second icon shaped liked earth named "transfer" and another icon shaped like a mask named "hide". Intrigued by this he pressed the storage button when his mind was suddenly transferred to an empty space, seeing this Neil freaked out as he suddenly started panicking when suddenly his mind was transported out of the space and back to the worn-down room. After collecting his thought he was reminded of the web novels he loved to read and the storage dimension mentioned in them he was instantly stunned as he wondered did he gain a cheat like ability or was he transported to another world and given powers like the hero but there was no meeting with the god or nothing, to try out his hypothesis Neil picked up a piece of rock lying on the floor and tapped the storage app and the rock suddenly disappeared out of his hand . Shocked by this Neil clicked the storage app again when his mind was transferred to the space which now had a rock inside it. Stunned by the reality of the situation Neil experimented with the app for hours finding out that he could control the app with his mind and also and he could also see the list of items inside the space in both the storage app and an inventory list inside his mind. After figuring out what he could about the storage app he pressed the transfer app when the world outside suddenly went black and he was now standing in his cramped-up room in the middle of the night.
Confused whether he was just dreaming or not he thought of the futuristic looking watch when suddenly a smartwatch appeared in his hand. Excited by this Neil but exclaim in joy thinking of the opportunities that lay ahead of him. After taking out the piece of rock and making sure the storage function was working Neil thought of trying the other app on the watch, he pressed the earth shaped transfer icon when his mind suddenly went blank and he back in the worn-down room again stunned by this he pressed the transfer app again when he was transported back to his room.
Thinking of trying out this function more he pressed the transfer icon again when a prompt appeared in the watch "the dimensional watch is out of power please provide power"
as Neil read this sweat started appearing on his brows, thinking how he should power the watch or what kind of power did the watch require he discovered a standard charging point on the side of the watch excited by this Neil grabbed his power adapter and started charging the watch when suddenly his lights started blinking scared by this Neil pulled the cable from the watch when the lights went back to normal. Sacred by this Neil looked at the watch which showed it power level at 20%. Thinking about it Neil was scared merely by the idea of how his electricity bill will be. Neil prepared to press the transfer app when suddenly he remembered the condition of the room he was transported in, thinking about it Neil started to prepare for the otherworld, he ran down the stairs to the convenience shop in his building and bought a lot of instant noodles, water, beverages, energy drinks, energy bars etc. He got back to his room and stored all the things he bought in his storage as well as some matches and flashlight and a bat for self-defense. After getting prepared Neil pressed the transfer app when he was transported to the worn-down room. To be prepared Neil took the bat as well as some energy drinks and energy bar out of his storage and put them into his bag. After getting prepared Neil slowly walked out of the room and then out of the building, when he got out of the building, he was stunned by his environment the torn buildings. Empty streets, the road that were cracked and broken, intense sunlight, which was so bright that Neil took some time getting used to it before he could see without flares. After thinking about it Neil concluded that he was in some kind of apocalypse like world. He started moving north randomly to see if could find another person to ask him about where he was, after walking for hours a loud noise suddenly startled Neil, thinking that he could meet somebody in that direction Neil starting running towards the direction of the voice, when he arrived at the location of the voice Neil was stunned as he saw a girl who seemed to be fighting a group of men with scars over their body, in torn clothes and grey skin looking zombies in resident evil, seeing this Neil started running towards the girl probably out of his chivalric spirit despite not knowing a shred about fighting. When Neil reached near the girl, he saw that all the zombie looking creatures attacking the girl were dead and the girl was staring directly at him, embarrassed that the girl didn't even need him Neil blushed as he waved his hand toward the girl. The girl seeing Neil waving his hand towards her suddenly started running towards him and arrived right before him, as Neill was about to open his mouth to speak the girl landed a chop at Neil's head instantly making him unconscious.
