It’s been a while since I last checked out my level and attributes. Since some time ago I created the Game Menu that includes a Lifestyle tab, a collection of experience gathering skills that passively gather experience just by me doing normal everyday things.

It’s the sole reason that I can level up when I have yet to bother killing anything. I’m pretty sure my party members told me how much of a cheat when you consider how I gain EXP just by eating and sleeping.

Anyways, it isn’t surprising that my level is currently around 150, making my base stats each around that amount too. But when you factor in skills like Superhuman that raise all of them by 100, and Mastery of Qi which raised them by another 100, my stats are naturally around the average of 350.

So taking my fist with the force of a level 350, only someone who has a sturdy body like a cultivator could survive. Lee smashes into the cars like a hot knife through butter deforming the reinforced metal.

And if anyone is curious, Lee’s stats each are on average 95. Considering he mentioned how he was close to breaking through to Mid Tier 5th Rank, I can only assume he is talking about the barrier of stats reaching 100.

So in terms of stats or levels, a 1st Rank cultivator is equivalent to levels 1 to 24, and a 2nd Rank is anywhere from level 25 to 49. Each rank up in cultivation is equal to gaining 25 levels. And for a qualitative change in tier one must reach 100 levels of power.

I should boast that I’m at Mid Tier in Qi cultivation, have been for a while now. I’m sure he would have an aneurysm if he heard that I reached his desired level of cultivation just on the first day I tried out cultivation.

Lee breaks apart the fragments of car entrapping him and jumps out of the wreck. His neat hair is disheveled and his pale face is smeared in oil and blood, his eyes wide open in shock.

Lee 「 That power, it can’t be! Were you deliberately suppressing your cultivation? That power is beyond a mere Low Tier 3rd Rank. Are you… a Mid Tier cultivator? 」

His legs are trembling and his voice unsteady losing his calm from before.

Lee 「 No, that’s impossible! She’s even younger than me! Even if she started cultivating from the womb, it’s still only a decade or two. Even I who used 40 years to be renowned as a genius... She’s a monster. 」

I guessed that cultivators lived long lives, and it seems true. Lee doesn’t look older than 20 some years but he is actually a man older than 40. I wonder if I raise my cultivation by absorbing more Qi, would I extend my life span and look eternally young?

Let’s continue to increase in addition to my magic and levels my cultivation in Qi too.

Lee 「 How did you get that power? It’s not feasible… unless, did you use some unknown forbidden technique? What did you do? Tell me! 」

Imagine that, a member of the Vile Brotherhood accusing me of gaining power through unscrupulous means. Pot calling the kettle black? I don’t think he realizes this kettle here is electric.

Becca 「 You want to know how I got this power? I’ll show you. 」

I close my eyes and start to feel for Qi energy. All those stories claim that this Qi energy that ancient martial artists cultivate come from heaven and earth. I don’t know about that, but I can tell that the planet is radiating life force from all inches.

I absorb Qi from the air, the sunlight, and the trees. In a way, Qi is similar to the concept of breathing. All living things breath in Qi coming off the universe. Most of that Qi is unstable and incompatible so the leftovers follow the breath out.

If I want to quickly absorb Qi then I just need to breath everything in and not let any of it go. Just like the first time I cultivated, the Qi in the air answers my summons and enters my body. From my mouth and nose, to even breathing through my pores, I’m absorbing everything that I can.

Sadly, it seems that Qi is not quite as abundant on Earth. The amount I could draw in when I was in the other world Arcoul was many times denser than Earth’s. But doing this kind of Qi absorption by breathing seems tiresome to concentrate and keep up.

I create a skill, Second Heart, a skill that replaces breathing and asborbs Qi unconsciously like how a heart pumps blood and oxygen. That way, I don’t have to divide my attention to cultivating. It feels like I have an invisible heart that draws in Qi and refines it into a comfortable energy I can use.

Becca 「 In short, something like this, I guess? 」

Lee 「 ...Thats—the Jade Core? Those who learn the Jade Core are like fish to water, constantly swimming in Qi with an absorption efficiency of higher than 50 percent… But isn’t that an ancient long lost technique? 」

I guess Second Heart is something similar to this Jade Core, and he mentioned absorption efficiency? Maybe 50 percent is high, of course the skill I created has 100 percent efficiency, but I don’t think he can handle hearing it at this moment. He’s already losing his mind thinking that I’ve revived a supposedly lost technique.

Lee 「 This has to be a dream, no, it’s can’t be real… 」

Becca 「 If you want to fangirl that’s all well and good, but we still have a something to settle. You said something about trash? 」

I try to give my most unsettling grin. The sunlight casts a sinister shadow on my face, or rather, isn’t that a mirror floating above directing the light? I can sense psychic energy keeping that mirror floating, is this Maeve’s doing again? Well it gives the intended effect as Lee’s expression turns grim.

Lee 「 Wa—wait! Senior Cultivator, I think… there’s been a misunderstanding…? 」

Senior? I’m clearly younger than him, unless he’s assuming that like him I just look younger on the outside? How rude, I’m young enough to still be considered a schoolgirl!

Becca 「 Misunderstanding? As I recall, you were in the middle of calling these kids trash when I so improperly interrupted. But please, do continue. 」

My eyes narrow and my menacing grin is beginning to make my cheeks cramp. Lee’s attitude takes 180 degrees turn and he becomes docile, to the point that no trace of his previous arrogance is visible. There’s probably more than just a stat difference between Low Tier cultivators and Mid Tier.

In my case I can feel the Qi flowing in me in a strange but comfortable way. Before Qi felt like a foreign stimulant like coffee and adrenaline coursing through me, now it feels like blood that belongs to me and obeys my heart.

Lee seems to be busy trying to come up with excuses. His mouth stutters and his eyes dart around looking for any escape. Then he lands his sight on M. Liberach, who is crouching behind a trash can shivering in fear. He must have sensed the tides turning and fled into hiding.

Lee 「 Right! It’s all his fault! That guy! 」

Like he won the lottery Lee is so excited that he’s practically spewing spittle with every word. He explains that the architect of this operation was Liberach the entire time, how it was all his idea to bring down the orphanage and threaten the kids. Liberach’s mouth drops in disbelief once he is sold out.

Lee 「 So—so you see? I’m innocent! 」

Becca 「 So what? Are you also going to say that it wasn’t your idea to sacrifice a little girl? 」

Lee 「 –!! That… well… 」

Becca 「 Lying? Such a naughty junior. And didn’t you just try to take away that girl by force earlier? Or what, are you going to lie again? Don’t insult my intelligence. 」

Lee is physically and mentally backed into a corner. I’m pushing him to try and gauge the abilities of a member of the Vile Brotherhood. This is my first encounter so I want to see what they’re capable of.

Lee 「 … Don’t look down on me! You think I’m afraid of your Mid Tier powers? It’s only one rank difference between 4th and 5th Rank. I’ll show you that I, Lee, am the genius of the cultivation world! 」

He takes out a shiny looking medicinal pill that is emitting intense Qi. He looks hesitant for a moment and swallows it with squinted eyes. A moment passes and his expression of bloodshot eyes shows his pain. His body trembles and he lets out a low groan.

Suddenly his Qi levels skyrocket and he reaches the limit of Low Tier 4th Rank only to break past it into Mid Tier 5th Rank. His power levels continue to rise and he reaches the peak of 5th Rank.

That pill must have been part of his preparations to ascend to Mid Tier. He did mention that sacrificing May would increase his chances of success, so he must have prepared multiple measures to compound and raise his success rate. Without May’s sacrifice his chances of failure are higher but nonetheless he decided to gamble and take a chance to break past his Low Tier limits.

His gamble paid off as the crowd can see his veins bulge and a sinister red aura covers his skin. He starts ranting about the power he feels and how ecstatic he is, but I don’t bother to listen closely.

I mean, a leap to Mid Tier sounds impressive but in reality it’s only a jump from a stat average of 95 to 125. My stats on average are almost three times as high so I don’t feel worried. If anything, it’s quite funny to see how confident Lee has become again, thinking he’s bridged the gap between us. This guy just keeps flipping between two extremes, one moment arrogant, then terrified, and now confident.

He notices that I’m not paying attention to his words boasting of his genius and he takes out a sword from somewhere. The sword appears out of thin air, from the small pouch on his waist. Maybe it holds a separate space larger than it would seem on the outside.

Lee 「 Behold! The treasure of the Lee clan, the Summer Rainstorm! This blade has felled the many foes of my clan, and I have inherited— 」

Becca 「 Yeah cool, whatever. You gonna make a move or what? I’m being fair and letting you take a crack this time so hurry it up. 」

I think in this situation a protagonist would be picking his ear in a casual manner to irritate his foes. As a girl I can’t exactly do that so instead I twirl a lock of hair around my finger. Lee gets the nonchalant message and channels Qi into his sword making it glow red.

He charges at me head on shouting victory at the top of his lungs. In the meantime I realize that I don’t have a regular sword to use against him in my inventory. I’ve only really crafted some armor and accessories for me. There is a katana but it’s pretty weak and honestly doesn’t boost my attack by much.

But then I remember that one time I crafted an insane knife out of that strange metal that was holding down a dragon. That time I halfheartedly tried to craft a sword using magic, psychic, and Qi energies to shape the hardest and sharpest blade possible.

The Vorpal Knife is still sitting in my inventory, mostly because it’s too sharp that it cuts through any sheath. It’s so sharp I can’t analyze its stats, all I can tell is that if I were cut by it I don’t think a simple heal would suffice.

Lee is approaching with his sword emanating tendrils of red Qi. Seeing this I don’t bother to infuse Qi into my knife but with a simple swipe of my blade the world around seems to have been distorted.

It’s like the air and sounds have been sliced apart as it turns silent. Lee stops his charge a meter or so behind me, with a look like he doesn’t fully register what happened. His something Rainstorm sword stops emitting energy and cracks in the middle.

It looks like just a teeny crack, but then the blade breaks into tiny pieces and Lee suffers a backlash. Apparently the energy he infused in the sword also suffered damage when the blade broke down and he didn’t recover his Qi in time. He took damage but ignores it.

Lee 「 My… Summer Rainstorm… broke…? 」

Why do I feel like I’m bullying the villain?
