I didn't know where I was but looking around I could see other people in the same circumstances. We all had a few things we shared and that was our clothing, well that's 'all' if you ignore the fact that we're all in a line. The place we are in has the colour white everywhere, white walls, white floor and white sky.

 

"NOOOOOOOO-eh?"(???)

 

Someone just screamed and looking at his posture it looks like as if he was being stabbed. Now then, from the given information I can deduce that we all died and are waiting to be reincarnated. I try to remember my earliest memory and it seems from what I can remember, after I was discharged from the hospital I saw a truck heading towards the direction of a child then I remembered what I did...

 

"God damn it, Truck-kun!"(me?)

 

Couldn't stay in the god damn media could you? Now, I'm separated from my beautiful bow! Just when I finally got a healthy body after 17 years of anticipation. Fine then, I'll just have my fun here.

 

"Time to explore."(me?)

 

I roamed around the area a little bit and someone wearing a toga came up to me.

 

"Get back in line!"(Toga person)

"After I explore a little bit."(me?)

"No, now!"(Toga person)

"I said later! And plus let me fulfil my dying wish of moving my body around for at least a day."(me?)

"Wait. You've never moved your body before?"(Toga person)

"On the day I died is when I moved, and even then I walked outside for less than 5 minutes and sacrificed my life for a irresponsible child!"(me?)

"Ah...Then make sure to get back in the line when you're done."(Toga person)

 

Surprisingly easy. Well I am getting stares of pity from both the reincarnators and the reincarnation committee, but I'll just ignore that. I made my way out of the line and observed the area. It seems like there's multiple areas and rooms. I walked through a couple areas and doors and after a couple of hours lost my way.

 

"Shit... I'm lost. Well, it was pretty fun. Turns out even the reincarnation committee needs toilets."(me?)

 

I looked around while walking some more and made my way in front of a door labelled 'Lucien'. That name has to be the name of a final boss or something, well I'm probably being influenced by a certain game series but whatever.

 

"Mhm?"(???)

 

I heared a noise coming from behind me hence I turned my head and saw a young lady. She had glistening silvery hair and golden eyes, her 'assets' were huge and was a little taller than me. She gave the impression of a serious and strict person. She was carrying inhuman amounts of paper-work.

 

"Nice to meet you?"(me?)

"You too."(The young lady)

 

There was a moment of silence then I began a conversation, or at least I tried to.

 

"Need some help with those?"(me?)

 

When I said this I saw her eyes sparkle bright and I meant quite literally.

 

"Yes please!"(The young lady)

 

She handed me half of the paper-work and entered the room, I followed soon after and I placed the paper-work on the desk. I wonder how I can carry this considering my build is below average and I'm not exactly the toughest of people.

 

"You can carry those because your spiritual force is higher than average. Well, average for novice angels."(The young lady)

 

And she just read my mind. No hard feelings whatsoever, absolutely none.

 

"Why thank you."(The young lady)

 

Never mind. Bad angel(?), no mind-reading.

 

"Aww... Why not?"(The young lady)

 

I don't want my secrets exposed, especially after all those years of hiding it from those nurses.

 

"Oh? Do you mean your nightly activities? Which one do you not want exposed the maid or the elf?"(The young lady)

I can tell I can really get along with this lady.

After we finished laughing she led me to a seat in her room. She left me for a little while and entered somewhere labelled 'Kitchen', looks like even god-like existences need a kitchen. The room we entered which was labelled 'Lucien' was surprisingly normal, the floor had a light pink carpet that's made out of a material that resembles wool and acrylic. The walls were in a light shade of red and the ceiling was plain yellow. The furniture consisted of two sofa chairs, including the one I'm on and a glass table. Opposite me is a wooden chair and table with paper-work.

 

"Sorry, did you wait long?"(The young lady)

"Nah, it's only been around 4 minutes."(me?)

 

She placed two coffee mugs on the table then decided to work on the paper-work that was on the glass table. She was sitting next to me and since I had nothing else beside my reincarnation I decided to help her.

 

"Let me help."(me?)

"W-wha?"(The young lady)

 

She seemed startled for some reason.

 

"Y-you sure?"(The young lady)

"I'm always sure. Probably."(me?)

"Fufu."(The young lady)

 

I helped her with the paper-work and it was certainly interesting. The paper-work was about a world called 'Terra', it had 4 races which are from the standard fantasy tropes and as well as lots of monsters. I recognise the name of some monsters like 'Slime', 'Minotaur' and even a 'Dragon' because they were heard of a lot in fantasy genres in my previous world however there were some that I didn't recognise like 'Kigal', 'Erta' and 'Luloto'. This world has lots of different magic types which all seemed interesting and what was even more interesting is that this world relied on a game-like system, in other words there's things like 'skills' and 'status'. While I was continuing on working on this my eyes seemed to have glinted with jealousy, I mean who could blame me? The 'Archery' skill branched off as far as the 'Sword' skill and the highest possible skill for archery was 'Bow Lord' that was supposedly even higher than 'Bow God'.

 

After what seemed to be years of paper-work we were finally finished.

 

"Mhm~"(me?)

"Nhm~"(The young lady)

 

I gave a stretch to my spiritual bones as did the god next to me.

 

"Finally finished."(me?)

"Oh right, my name is Lucien."(The young lady)

"Mhm?"(me?)

"You keep calling me 'the young lady' however please use my name which is 'Lucien'."(Lucien)

 

Wait, you were the one with the final boss name?

 

"Indeed it was me, DI-- Lucien."(Lucien)

"Looks like someone clearly watches anime."(me?)

"Yep!"(Lucien)

"Come in."(Lucien)

"Lady Lucien, it seems one of the reincarnators has gone miss--"(Toga person)

 

Someone knocked on the door and entered and when I looked at who it was it was the toga person from a few hours ago. He stared at my eyes, and I stared back. There was a awkward silence.

"A-ahem! As you can see he is with me so leave us."(Lucien)

"B-but!"(Toga person)

"I said leave!"(Lucien)

"...As you say."(Toga person)

 

That was a bit harsh however thanks Lucien. The toga person left and Lucien stared at me and after a few moments of silence--

"I'll give you one wish."(Lucien)

"Eh?"(me?)

--She gave me a wish.

 

"My reputation as a god would be damaged if I did not reward you for your 5oo years of service."(Lucien)

 

FIVE HUNDRED?! WHAT THE FUCK? It felt like at least three years!

 

"That's because your sense of time has become distorted."(Lucien)

 

Oh, makes sense.

 

"Wait, don't read my mind at a time like this!"(me?)

 

This might mean I missed my chance to reincarnate and generally from what I know from fiction and non-fiction is that the spirit fades away if they don't reincarnate. This is the--

"I see! Then my wish is to reincarnate on Terra, please!"(me?)

Lucien lit up her fingers in a golden aura and tapped my coffee that I had yet to drink, this made the coffee go from dark-brown to a golden-yellow.

"--Drink this!"(Lucien)

 

If you said 'Eat this' I would've slapped you in the face, because it's obviously a reference to a certain super hero anime.

 

"Phew..."(Lucien)

 

What was that sigh of relief for..?

 

"Nothing."(Lucien)

 

Lets leave it at that. I picked the coffee cup up and drank it all till the last drop because who knows what might happen because I didn't drink all of it.

 

"Next I'll put my hand on your forehead and then you will be taken to an area where you will decide your fate."(Lucien)

 

After a breath of trying to reassure myself I said--

"--Okay ready."(me?)

 

"Well then, see you later."(Lucien)

"See ya!"(me?)

 

She put her hand on my head and I felt both my body and consciousness disappear. When I regained consciousness there was a variety of things which were odd. The first distinct thing that was odd is that I could only see a computer screen that made me choose my next life's circumstances, I couldn't take my head away and I could manoeuvre by thinking things like 'up', 'down', 'left, 'right' and 'select'. 

 

For now I'm going to do what it lets me. I thought 'select' on 'living conditions' and brought me to a screen that presented:

The moment I saw this I thought 'Holy shit!', but for some reason I can't talk during this. I exclaimed 'holy shit' because the shitty circumstances were absolutely the shittiest I've seen, and not only that the spawn point was the worse of all of them. The kingdom of Ralof is a religious country based around the god 'Ralof', this particular god is one that is centered around human supremacy and also male supremacy. The first time I saw this I seriously thought 'How the fuck did a kingdom like this become a kingdom at all?'. Now then, time to configure the shit out of this.

I already decided what race I wished I could be when I saw the races. These races will help me use the bow because a cat's tail helps a cat balance and in this world of survival I will obviously use the almighty bow, however the weakness of bows and arrows is the wind and a tail will help me decide when to shoot and how to shoot according to the wind pressure. I picked the high elf race in hopes I could use magic in the other world, the magic I hope I can use is 'Spirit Magic' because this type of magic has some versatile spells.

 

Now that I'm done I wonder how I confirm it? Do I just think 'Confirm' or something?

Wow. Its a bit too much like a computer, I exited the screen when I thought 'esc'. There were originally 5 options but now the 'living conditions' has been blacked out, and now the four remaining options are:

I thought 'select' on 'character' then it showed me two different sections which were labelled 'Guaranteed' and 'Potential'. I first selected 'Guaranteed and it showed me:

The moment I saw this I thought 'What the hell! People are born attractive?!' but for now lets just configure this. I thought 'select' on 'Black Catkin' just in case and there was an options beside the aforementioned and 'High Elf', It immediately made my eyes sparkle and so I thought 'select' on it. This automatically made my hair colour become 'Purple(Fixed)' but that is a small price to pay.

 

Next on my list was attractiveness, I set it on '8/10' because in this world there's slavery and I wouldn't want to be enslaved and added to this is that some nobles may be corrupt and try to mess with me just because I'm too handsome. This may be argued with '8/10' is still too high however my reply to this is 'Let me feel handsome for once, damn it!'. I selected 'endowment' and set it on '8/10' because why not? Now my 'Guaranteed' section looked like this:

Yes. The race I picked was 'Majestic Catkin' because this race has absurd affinity with both physical and magical, however this race is a mutation between a beastkin and someone with lots of mana that happens once every thousand beastkin. I then went over to 'Potential' and another screen appeared:

Not bad, however I don't like a couple of things for example who the hell wants to be a body builder? I would preferably choose to be slimmer and have some muscles, and my qi colour should be light blue because from my knowledge 'red' qi colour should be evil, 'green' should be good and 'blue' should be neutral and now it's time to configure my mana capacity a little. Now this is my new and improved potential:

When the system showed it was completed I thought 'esc' and came back to the hub and now there were only three options left, I skipped an option and selected 'talent'. Talent was a bit different because it told me to allocate some skills into the categories which ranked from S to F. After I was finished it looked like this:

The things I want to focus on are higher up the hierarchy and according to the documents I helped Lucien with an average adventurer's talents usually ranges in B-F and the A-ranks to the SSS-ranks have talents ranging from SSS-C, I'm quite lucky considering I have at least one talent in every section but sadly 'SSS' and 'SS' isn't included in them. Sweet, now then 'esc'. Now that I'm back on the hub screen I then select 'skills', it seems the 'skills' menu is different but somewhat similar to the 'talent' menu. It seems I had started with 500 points however the previous configurations had reduced it to 150 points. I'll first start with the 'Unique Skill', then I hurried over to 'Skills'. Now it looks like this:

 

Skills: Studying (15pts), Spirit Magic (15pts), Archery (15pts), Cooking (5pts)  

Unique Skill: Absolute Comprehension (50pts), Absolute Examination (25pts), Quadrupled Growth (25pts)

 

Its perfect. The 'studying' skill complements my 'absolute comprehension' and 'absolute examination' skills because the 'studying' skill lets me remember anything I've read thrice as easier. The 'quadrupled growth' skill lets my stats grow four times more than normal, it's good to learn 'spirit magic' early on and the 'archery' skill is self explanatory. I took the 'cooking' skill because no one wants terrible food, and since the resources on Terra is like Earth I should be able to recreate some foods I've read online. Now I'm done, 'Confirm'.
