Chapter 93: Rise of the Savior

Amphere Harrison

Airi's discourse might seem perplexing at times, but her track record has undoubtedly established her credibility. Her seemingly outlandish suggestions have yielded substantial results in this ongoing battle, leaving me with an unwavering conviction to heed her unconventional guidance. Such is my trust in her jests that if she were to propose an arcane ritual involving the consumption of my own excrement to attain the prowess needed to vanquish the colossal demon before us, I'd embark upon it without hesitation.

"I have now attained the capacity to emulate any Dracaryx that the Eye of Deus has beheld, without reservation! Astonishingly, this gift comes without any adverse repercussions - neither does it nullify the Vesryn Pulse nor interrupt the rhythmic cadence of the heart. The only limitation to this newfound ability lies in my capability to harness a mere one-fourth of the Dracaryx's formidable might."

Curiosity compelled me to inquire, "How did you come upon this revelation?"

Airi met my query with an enigmatic smile. "Vesryn managed to implant an 'intelligent conscience' within my psyche, enabling a discourse between us. And lo and behold, Vesryn unveiled her own identity as a Chimeratech Dragon! Across the annals of the cosmos, a mere two Chimeratech Dragons have ever graced existence."

I sighed, a tad exasperated by the digression. "These arcane details hold little significance to me." I absently scratched my head, swiftly collecting my thoughts before adopting a resolute posture. Placing a hand over my heart, I ignited the fervor within! The Eye of Deus surged with an incandescent blaze, mirroring the inferno that blazed within me. "Let us put this newfound power to the test!"

Confronting a foe of such gargantuan proportions and unfathomable might necessitates a strategy as colossal and overpowering as the threat itself. To emulate the adversary's enormity and potency appears to be the most judicious course. With conviction, I initiated the transformation, channeling the essence of the mighty Dracaryx. "DRACARYX!!! Manifest thy Crimson Dragonfly Form!"

Once again, a luminous aura enveloped Airi's distinctive V-mark, radiating a brilliant luminance. Four wings resembling tongues of flames emerged, forming the silhouette of a dragonfly in flight. As though responding to a celestial command, Exceria's form became awash with a resplendent golden glow, seamlessly melding with the fiery wings upon Airi's back. The melding of their essences birthed a fusion that emitted a blinding brilliance, searing through my vision like a solar flare.

The sheer awe that this dragon elicits is incomparable, even when juxtaposed with the formidable Monolith Dragon. Standing at an imposing twenty meters tall, this cybernetically enhanced behemoth is adorned with an opulent mantle of adamantine white armor. Its breastplate is dominated by a colossal moonstone orb, meticulously safeguarded by a crimson vestment. The unmistakable influence of the Chimeratech Dragon is evident in its resplendent crimson wings, while the elongated white tail pays homage to the legacy of the Pulsar Dragon. Perhaps most striking of all is its humanoid stance, accentuated by the presence of magnificent golden steel gauntlets that adorn its arms. Yet, the pinnacle of its magnificence lies in the hand grasping a radiant golden sword, bearing intricate ancient engravings that seem to resonate with an age-old power.

For expediency's sake, I've christened this extraordinary creation the Savior Dragon.

In a departure from the norm among dragons, I find myself comfortably seated upon a throne-like structure affixed to the head of this awe-inspiring creature. Encased within a reinforced bubble-esque casing, reminiscent of a moonstone embedded in the dragon's brow, I'm reminded of a pilot navigating a colossal mechanical marvel.

As the Necross Dragon regains its composure following its earlier dislodgment, it wields its sword with renewed resolve, poised to strike us down. In the face of this gargantuan demon, we might appear akin to mere toddlers challenging an adult to combat. However, a crucial distinction emerges - our unparalleled mobility grants us the nimbleness required to elegantly evade the ponderous buster sword wielded by the netherworldly creature.

The ensuing onslaught triggers a discernible seismic tremor, sending plumes of earth skyward in chaotic disarray. Swiftly, we maneuver beyond the impact's range, casting an anxious glance below to ascertain the safety of our comrades. Relief washes over me as I discern that they have successfully extricated themselves from the danger zone, their own dragons carrying them to safety. Remarkably, even the airship manages to ascend, defying the odds despite the grievous damage it sustained during its earlier collision with the colossal demon. Its appearance now reminiscent of a mangled tin can.

"Remain vigilant!" bellows General Holster, his voice charged with urgency. "The adversary requires but a single fatal blow to set the ritual in motion! Regardless of the circumstances, we must endure at all costs!"

"Understood, sir!" A resounding chorus of affirmation echoed among us knights, propelling us in diverse directions to encircle the monstrous draconic entity.

"Amphy, I neglected to inform you... Requiem Aeternam shall wield no impact upon the demon, unless we've managed to debilitate its potency to a mere quarter! Thus, employ any other Dracaryxes at your disposal before we resort to our ultimate gambit," Airi's telepathic counsel reverberated within my consciousness. This realization had already taken root within me, as our imitated Dracaryxes inherently possess diminished capabilities.

With unwavering intensity, I directed my gaze towards the malevolent demon and issued a fervent proclamation. "Dracaryx!!! Engage the Abyssal Hole!"

Responding to my command, the Savior Dragon conjured a dark, vortex-like anomaly within its unoccupied hand, hurling it unerringly towards the Necross Dragon's chest. Our collective assembly swiftly retreated, watching as the fiend was inexorably drawn into the gravity well of the nascent void. However, the spectacle didn't culminate there. "Dracaryx!!! Enact the Iron Maiden Imprisonment!"

A network of chains swiftly ensnared the colossal demon's limbs, their grip insufficient to wholly thwart its capacity to attack, yet effective in inhibiting its ability to take even a solitary step forward.

"Together, assail with all your might!"

My compatriot dragon knights orchestrated their attacks with synchronous precision. A barrage of iridescent fireballs, gargantuan masses of ethereal bubblegum, orbs of void-charged energy, arrows of luminescent gold, a deluge of a thousand obsidian feathers, coursing currents of electric shock, and an array of other mystic assaults coalesced into a deafening symphony of detonation.

In the aftermath, a thick shroud of smoke enshrouded the battlefield. Yet, from within this obscurity emerged an immense cleave. Swiftly, my comrades adeptly evaded the strike, yet the sweep of the corporeal blade generated a potent maelstrom akin to a hurricane, propelling us all through the air in a chaotic ballet of propulsion.

The indomitable resilience of my Savior Dragon's robust armor mitigated the force of impact, permitting us to descend with minimal harm. A colossal crater marred the terrain, a scar that seemed destined to transform into a future reservoir upon the advent of raindrops. My gaze swept over my comrades, victims of the cataclysmic shockwave. Their bodies bore grievous wounds, borne from the immense collision. Most had reverted their dragons to human forms, their strength depleted. Amidst the wreckage, only General Holster and Cleru Neos remained combat-ready. Others, dragonoids and knights alike, succumbed to unconsciousness. While Rudolf and Estoff retained their faculties, I opted to exclude them from my considerations, given their current state as zombies.

My anxiety surrounding the potential death toll was momentarily allayed as Airi, or rather Exceria, unveiled a holographic interface displaying heartbeat sensors. Relief flooded my being as I released a deep, pent-up sigh. For the moment, there were no casualties. Yet.

As I surveyed the field, my apprehension resurfaced. The aftermath of the shockwave was but a mere prelude. A direct collision would likely propel us to the distant red planet, an ominous prospect indeed. My focus shifted to the Necross Dragon, its corporeal form fully restored. The question of how to weaken such a relentless regenerating force remained a vexing enigma.

Summoning forth the commanding power within, I cried out, "Dracaryx!!! Unleash Hyperspace Fury!"

In contrast to Reina's formidable prowess, my capabilities were limited to conjuring a mere ten portals, each birthing torrents of colossal golden lasers aimed at our adversary. While I managed to graze the nape of the Necross Dragon's neck, along with its shoulders and arms, the impact fell short of delivering a significant blow. Its regenerative capabilities outstripped our capacity to inflict damage, a disheartening realization.

"Don't relinquish hope!" Estoff's rallying cry pierced through, accompanied by an unwavering determination that transcended his undead state. His hands found their way to his heart, his resolve channeling through. "DRACARYX!!! Ignite the Crusader Arrow!"

A disconcerting thought arose in my mind. Was Estoff inadvertently harming Elumina through his actions? Despite her current state as a zombie, the emotional conflict remained.

The rallying cries of my companions spurred renewed determination. Rudolf's voice echoed amidst the tumult, issuing forth a decree that cut through the chaos. "Press on with your assault!" he urged. "DRACARYX!!! Evoke the Swords of Eternal Light!"

Inexplicably, Rudolf had invoked the power of Dracaryx consecutively. Unlike Elumina, Kyrie remained among the living, fully capable of experiencing pain. Yet, her gaze bore a poignant reassurance, a silent message that seemed to convey, "I'm willing to endure." Her lips curved into a gentle smile, embodying a depth of courage that left me in awe. Were they truly prepared to expend all their strength, no matter the cost?

"DRACARYX!!! Unleash the Splatoon Burst!" General Holster's unexpected exhortation reverberated through the air. However, it was swiftly joined by another fervent cry.

"DRACARYX!!! Initiate the Rainbow Road!" Cleru's voice roared, a clarion call to action. "Amphere, seize this moment!"

As if ignited by his words, a cascade of resonant shouts ensued. "DRACARYX!!!"

The skies erupted into a spectacular display of magical prowess - arrows, swords, bubblegum, and the iridescent blaze of the rainbow blaster, a harmonious symphony of ethereal might. Amidst this mesmerizing ballet of incantations, I, too, harnessed my own potency. "DRACARYX!!! Unveil the Yggdrasil Fall!!!"
