Chapter 1: Mana
Long ago back when there was no concept of time or space nor light or dark there was simple nothing.
Suddenly within the void of nothingness appeared a being this person of an indescribable shape and of an unknowable colour, due to the lack of time within this void there was no way to tell how long the person floated within the void. But with one vague movement something split from the person, this “thing” which could only by described as a piece of black crystal or glass like the person just floated within the void, until a voice that sounded similarly to that of a gentle mother came from the indescribable person.
“Awaken my child, awaken and use the knowledge and power I've given you to create a world, a galaxy, a reality where others like myself and you may live at peace.”
After the person spoke those words the crystal/glass object began to glow, and as it started to glow a new spoke in return to the person in a monotone clearly showing no emotion.
“As you command my creator, if wish is for me to create a world for you then I as your creation shall see to this task to the fullest of my abilities.”
After hearing the voice of its creation and realising that it had not an ounce of emotion or a single thought of its own the indescribable being made a decision, the decision give its creation an emotion.
A new sphere of light came for the being floated toward and then melded with the creation, when this happened the being spoke a question to its creation.
“Apologies my child, I noticed after I created you were lacking certain aspects that you would need for your mission,so I gave you an emotion, the emotion of Empathy now I will be granting you a few other things for you mission but first do you have any questions about said mission?”
“Yes Mother I have a few questions, if you don’t mind?”
The beings creation asked for confirmation in a voice that was no longer monotone but with a voice that one would expect to hear from a caring elder sibling, but the being didn’t answer the question answer with but instead with its own question.
“ Mother? What do you mean by Mother?”
That was the beings question, and so their creation answered.
“I don’t know myself but the second I received an emotion from you I felt that was the proper way to address you, Mother.”
To the answer that was as clear and concise as it was the being could only respond with an “I see” and told the creation to go ahead and ask its questions.
The first question was towards the mission itself.
“By create a World, Galaxy and Reality. Will I be creating these from scratch or will I be given a premade world to develop into the wished outcome?”
A normal question, given the mission that I tasked them with. The being thought and they immediately answered their creations’ question.
“you will be given a world that’s already made, in fact due to you not going to the world yet the time there and here aren’t linked up properly but, in fact while we’ve been talking here that world has already existed for about I’d say a good century, there's even a few sentient races of people living on it already, but once you enter the world its self the time should link up correctly with this place. Do you have another question?
The creation thought about the answer to themselves for a second before confirming that they had more questions and then they said their second question.
“My second question is to do with these others that you referred to as “like myself and you” are there others that will be assisting me with my mission?
Yet another valid question, clearly giving them some emotion was the right thing to do. Thought the being, they then went to answer the question of their creation.
“First about the ones I described as like “myself” unlike yourself and people that live on the world I'll be transferring you to exist on a lower dimensional plain to the myself and others like me, now as for the second part of your question when I talk about “others like you”, I’m talking about beings created by myself whose objective is to oversee and develop the different worlds that I send them to. I will allow one last question then I will have going to send you to the world my child.”
Now let's see what kind of last question this one'll come up with, will it be one about what powers I've given them which they still haven't asked about or will it be another question of knowledge about their mission which they have already valid questions about. The being once again thought about the question that its creation asked wondering what their creations last question might be, the creation took longer to ask its last question, this lasted a few minutes until the creation asked its question and it was a question that the being was not expecting.
"Is this mission mandatory?"
After the creation asked it's third question the being was slightly taken aback, but not due to anger at its creations question but more due to confusion at said question. Well i never said that it was mandatory but still... is what the being thought it took a few moments to decide on an answer, but the answer that the being decided on was.
"No it's not mandatory, but while it's not mandatory i still want you to oversee this world and when i make others like yourself i want you care for them until their used to their powers and abilities, I won't force you to develop the world i'm sending you to or a galaxy in the future, but please do these two things?
Now it was the creation that got an answer along with a question that it wasn't expecting, first it was told that it didn't have to perform the mission it was given but instead told that it should at least oversee the world it was being sent to and to help it's fellow creations, it couldn't help but wonder what it's fellow creations would be like. I guess if they're going to be my fellow creations created by the same being that would make them my siblings, I don't know if it's my own will or if it's the Empathy that Mother granted me but i will protect and care for my siblings and overseeing one world shouldn't be to much trouble.
" If those two things are all that you require me to do then i'll do it Mother."
The creation accepted the now different mission from its mother, the second that the creation accepted their mission a bright white light suddenly appeared a few feet away from both creator and creation, the light continued to shine for a few minutes.
"What is that Mother?" The creation couldn't help but ask their creator about the mysterious light that out of nowhere appeared but just a few feet away from them, to which the creator responded with a simple " You will see.", The creator's thoughts were now filled with exception and excitement this way due to a want to see how its creation would respond to the object that would appear from the now dissipating light.
The light started to dissipate only to reveal a human shaped mannequin that was in a sitting position, the mannequin itself could not be described as either a male or female shape it wasn't really muscular or curvy, after the light fully dissipated the creation instead of asking about or immediately knowing what the mannequin was for like the creator expected the creation simply floated next it but didn't ask a question about the new object.
Ah right I did say that the last thing they asked would be the last question before i send them to their world, better explain what this is then. Is what the creator thought after realising why its creation was not asking any questions, quickly following the thought the creator spoke up.
"This my child is one of those gifts I mentioned earlier, this gift will be the body that you will inhabit while your overseeing the world your going to, now for the second gift. After explaining what the mannequin-like object was and what its purpose, a new sphere shaped light formed next to the creator but as soon as the sphere formed it flew hastily at the creation, the second it reached the creation it enter its glass form the second it did the creation began to glow and a symbol started to appear on the creations glass body, the symbol was that of a five pointed red star within a red ring.
"Now to explain the second gift, what I gave is power directly from myself I have given you the power to create, control, manipulate and erase magic, with this power I will also gift you a title and a code name to go along with your power, you my shall be known as the Fragment of Magic and code name will be Mana named after the energy that's needed to perform magic, now the last thing that you must do is to entry that object and I will transfer to the world that will be your."
After receiving the gifts form its creator Mana did as was instructed and proceeded to float over to the mannequin like body and entered the body, similar to before when it appeared the body began to glow but unlike before where it glowed a bright white it was now more of a grey, as the glowing continued the mannequin like body started to shift and change shape, before where it had no discernible features and a lean frame it now had visible muscles forming along with facial features such as a pair of eyes a mouth and the nose now had physical nostrils, hair also started to form on the head of the body, the hair itself grew slowly but wildly growing in every which direction, the growth of the hair stop when the length start to reach the neck of the body at the same time as the hair stopped growing the grey glow started to dissipated.
When the glow fully dissipated the body rose from its sitting position to a standing position now fully clothed, appearance wise the body much like the could not be discerned if it was a male or female body, the height of the body reach about 5'4, it had black unkempt hair, the nose was straight while being on the smaller side, its lips were thin that had a very noticeable shade of pink when next to the pale skin tone of the body, the clothes were quite plain, a mute blue shirt, a pair of black trousers with a brown belt with a white buckle and a pair of grey laced sneakers with white soles.
Soon the body opened its eyes showing it to have black iris', it looked around the shape as if to get used to now having eyes, after a few moments of it testing its eyes it looked right at the creator and stepped toward the creator and toke a knee and began to speak.
"Thank you mother for this gift I will use it well, if there's nothing else for you to example, please send me forth and i will start my mission."
"Of course my child I will send you there now, I wish you luck on your mission and for the future that lays ahead."
After saying that the creator reached towards its creation and with a flash of light the creation was gone now all that was left in the void was the creator, after their creation was gone the creator could only say.
"Now to decide what the next one will be."
