Violet, flanked by Annabelle, Aubriana, and Evie, led the way with a purposeful stride as if they were intimately familiar with the destination. Our path veered into parts of the underground facility, areas conspicuously missing from my map. This detour ignited a storm of questions in my mind. The peculiar choice of Doctor Morishita and Doctor Blair to have these patients guide me instead of returning with Vaughn. Their apparent readiness to lead puzzled me. These thoughts multiplied with each step deeper into the facility. 'What exactly was Director Eto Sotaro working on in these depths? And why was it so crucial for Director Helms to lay hands on it?' These questions flooded my mind the deeper we went.

Our journey culminated in a vast silo. Awaiting us was a massive platform, its presence overshadowing the surroundings. Looking up, it was evident that the shaft extended all the way to the surface, its angled trajectory suggesting a path not commonly used by Helms's men – a route likely unknown to them without the doctors' guidance. The depth of our location was a mystery; the facility's twelve levels seemed insignificant compared to the thousand-foot distance to the surface we knew. This place transcended the usual definitions of a bunker or military installation. Its true purpose remained shrouded in mystery.

Intrigued and somewhat bewildered, I turned to Violet. "Violet..., what is this?" I asked, my eyes still tracing the towering structure of the silo.

As Violet and Evie approached the platform, I noticed a curious glint in Violet's eye. With a subtle motion of her hand, she revealed a hidden panel on the platform, which smoothly extended a console. I watched, captivated, as they expertly navigated the console, their fingers dancing over the keys to input a code. The console beeped with each keystroke, indicating that the code was being registered. After a few moments, the platform acknowledged the command with a gentle tremor. It began its descent, its smooth metallic surface gliding effortlessly as it delved deeper into the heart of this enigmatic structure. I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as we descended further into the unknown.

In silence, I observed as the platform descended deeper beneath the earth, I observed in silence. The steady pace of our descent into the unknown was accompanied by ]quiet patience from Annabelle and Aubriana, who stood beside their fellow patients with a composed air. It was then that the discreet barcodes and metal ports at the base of their necks caught my eye. The numbers were sequential: Violet with 01, Evie with 02, followed by Aubriana with 04, and Annabelle with 03. This detail sparked curiosity about their group, especially the older woman who had died prior to our mission, raising questions about Mrs. Momota's knowledge and involvement.

The more I watched them, the more evident the expertly integrated artificial enhancements in their bodies became. These modifications, undoubtedly the work of Doctors Vincent Blair and Morishita Nao Gina, displayed a level of skill that made it clear why Director Helms was so intent on pursuing them. A sense of relief washed over me, knowing we had successfully rescued the doctors and their team. Yet, my mind couldn't help but wander to the victims of the contagion released by Director Eto. The fate of their recovery hinged on whether Mrs. Momota's and Director Vance's teams could reach them in time before they fell victim to Helms's brutal intentions.

A massive door stood before us as it came into view. The sudden jolt of the platform halting brought us to a momentous sight – a towering door, several stories high, framed by hazard strips that silently screamed danger. 'What could be hidden behind these towering vault doors?'  I was about to find out. Evie and Violet approached two separate panels by the door, their movements synchronized. Annabelle and Aubriana mirrored them on the other side, completing a silent, efficient quartet. They entered a code, and the gargantuan doors began to part slowly, revealing a chamber of colossal scale.

Within the enormous space, I noticed five bays that were brightly lit, and their size was comparable to that of a football field. Violet led the way, and as we walked, the pitter-patter of our footsteps echoed against the concrete floor. It was at that moment that I caught sight of something that took my breath away. The lights came on, illuminating the whole area, and what I saw were immense machines, each one towering to the height of a seven or eight-story building, resting in the bays. There were two on either side of the vast chamber, with one on the far wall, and the sight was truly awe-inspiring, beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

"Valkyrie Assault and Reconnaissance Units," Annabelle whispered, her voice barely audible over my stunned silence.

"We've been pilots for these machines for the last five years," Aubriana added in a hushed tone.

The revelation left me speechless. Horizon Industries' technological advancement was well known, but this was beyond imagination – they were at the cutting edge of such colossal innovations.

Violet's voice softly brought me back to the present. "Rin... this way," she urged. "The child is beyond those doors."

"She's been waiting... patiently," Evie added, her voice a mere whisper.

Confusion gripped me. "Waiting? Waiting for what?" I mumbled, my mind racing to understand.

"You'll see...," Violet whispered, extending her arm, guiding me towards yet another mystery. As we approached the next set of doors, a sense of anticipation mixed with apprehension filled the air, hinting at the extraordinary revelation that lay just beyond.

For the third time, I witnessed the four women - Violet, Annabelle, Aubriana, and Evie - work together with meticulous precision to open another set of doors. These doors were imposing but not as massive as the previous ones. As the doors rolled aside with a heavy thud, a long corridor was revealed. It was evident that these women were not just ordinary test subjects but were chosen pilots who had undergone rigorous training to maneuver the colossal machines that we had encountered in the previous sections.

While walking down the corridor, I noticed that it was brief in length and led us to a storage facility. The facility was well-organized, with rows of shelves stacked with various equipment and machinery. It was clear that this place was different from the testing ground where the behemoths were actually tested.

The women continued to lead the way as we walked through the storage facility, carefully examining the equipment around us. Their movements were calculated and precise, indicating a level of familiarity with the machinery and equipment. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of experiments were taking place here and what the women's roles were in it all.

After the final door opened to the women's expertise, we were ushered into a smaller, more intimate chamber. Dominating this new space was a sphere, radiating a mystifying energy. Within its confines, a child-like figure floated, entangled in a network of tubes within a pool of shimmering blue liquid. The women formed a protective circle around the sphere, their eyes emitting a startling lime-green glow, which sent an inexplicable shiver through my spine. The room pulsated with an energy that was almost tangible, compelling, yet unnerving. I felt an involuntary step forward, drawn towards the arcane scene despite my mind's protests.

"What... what is this?" I stammered, my voice barely audible over the hum of the chamber.

"The source of a Valkyrie," Evie's voice was a soft echo, filled with reverence.

"The power of a Valkyrie," Annabelle's whisper complemented, hinting at a profound secret.

"Combined with one like us," Aubriana added, her whisper as mysterious as the scene before us.

"The child is a spirit made corporal," Violet's words were a gentle murmur, adding layers to the unfolding mystery.

"A spirit made corporal???" My confusion was evident. "What do you mean like you?" I queried, seeking clarity in this whirlwind of revelations.

"You are like us," Evie stated, her voice firmer now.

"You have the gift," Violet's declaration was a mix of assertion and comfort.

"What are you talking about? What gift...," My words trailed off, seeking answers in the midst of overwhelming new realities.

As I was about to provide more explanation, the child's eyes snapped open, revealing a pair of piercing blue orbs, which seemed to glow with an otherworldly intensity. It was as if they were looking straight through me, and I could feel a shiver run down my spine. The sphere around the child, which I had been observing until then, suddenly collapsed, revealing the child's form, which was now enveloped in a bright blue aura.

The child then flew towards me with incredible speed. Before I could react, they collided with my chest, causing a shockwave of coldness to emanate from their body.

The coldness was unlike anything I had ever felt before. It seeped into every bone, every fiber of my being, and I could feel the edges of my vision beginning to blur. The darkness seemed to be creeping in, and I felt myself slipping away into an abyss of icy nothingness. It was as if I was being pulled into a vortex of pure cold, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

"One of us," the chorus of the four test pilots resonated in the chilling blackness that enveloped me, their voices a blend of welcome and finality.
