Day 16

After discovering that I could actually speak and my vocal cords had just regressed a bit, the two began vocal training with me. They also gave me some strange liquid to drink. It had no taste at all, but my throat felt a lot smoother afterward. I also saw Moshi drink it sometimes. Since the other world they came from was a magic world, that drink was most likely a magic potion.

Sh*t, I want to go there too.

***

Say ‘Sin’.”

“Sin.”

“Oknow try ‘sincerely’.

“Sin

Sin…

Sin.”

Ace and Jiushi, “…”

Harem God yawned lazily; they did vocal training since morning. But the patient in question acted as if the one who couldn’t speak wasn’t him. Rather than being grateful for Ace’s and Jiushi’s effort, Harem God looked like he experienced the eighteen hells of boredom.

By now, Jiushi even debated whether Harem God was cursed by chance. The magic potions that could even help nourishing his magic core showed no significant improvement for Harem God’s mute issue. It could either be a curse messing with him or he had developed a magic immunity. The latter case was implausible as Harem God himself was a walking magic storage. In fact, his magic capacity even expanded with the help of the potions; a side-effect that was fortunate, but not what they had wanted to achieve.

“Maybe he really angered some god into cursing him,” Ace joked with a rigid smile. He felt a cold wind brushing by from the side and stopped immediately.

Jiushi mood cooled beyond the freezing point. “It’s not like they didn’t have any effect on him,” he looked at the yawning brawls but no brain pack, “But I’d have preferred them to be ineffective.”

Magic potions were not easy to produce and raising one’s magic capacity through them was a costly matter. Nobody would use this method unless they had reached the upper limit they could achieve with training. What Jiushi and Ace brought with them were were the most valuable and potent elixirs that humanity could produce. They were meant for emergencies, yet they used it on an idiot, who already had plenty magic energy but couldn’t use it!

“I get where you’re coming from, but see it as small gift to him on the long run, will you?” Ace reminded Jiushi and the latter sighed in resignation, “Ok, but no more potions for him.”

Harem God looked at Jiushi like a cat eyeing its prey.

They really fed me magic potions!

Harem God took out a little piece of paper and messily wrote down two words—why stop?

Jiushi stared at him as if he was looking at an idiot for a good three seconds before answering with a question. “Can you use magic?”

Like an obedient pupil, Harem God shook his head and waited for a follow up explanation.

“You should learn it, or you could explode by accident.” Now he looked at Harem God as if he was already dead.

The dead meat went still. If Ace had said it, he would’ve started a fight since it was very likely to be utter bullshit. But he was wary of Jiushi who had facial paralysis most of the timeand in regards of demeanor, was much more stringent than the other. Jiushi had always been very direct with his words. If he said something, then he meant it and wouldn’t waste his energy to beat around the bush. So even though it sounded like a cheap threat from a trash fantasy isekaiHarem God concluded that he would explode for real if he didn’t learn about magic.

But the question was, would they teach him?

Harem God’s brows knitted; for a chance he used his head to think about serious issues instead of entertaining the ideas for hardcore eronovels he could write.

So easy to read, Ace thought while glancing at Harem God who was lost in thoughts. He held back his chuckle and spoke, “Don’t worry, we’ll teach you. It’s partly our fault you’re in this situation.”

Harem God looked up at Ace in confusion, then shifted his gaze expectantly at Jiushi. The latter answered him unhurriedly, “At first we thought of speeding up your rehabilitation with healing potions, but it didn’t work as expected. We accidentally raised your magic capacity within a short amount of time. Normally it wouldn’t be a severe issue, but you already had a lot to begin with. Your body hasn’t adapted to the new increment and we still haven’t found out which ability you have. To adequately contain all the magic power, you need to present under proper guidance and learn how to manage your ability, otherwise, your body could rapture to shreds if your magic system gets overstrainedIt’s at a dangerous level once it’s unleashed without control not only for you, but also…” Jiushi paused and looked down at Sin who happened to walk over, “for your chicks.”

Harem God never heard Jiushi speak so much in one breath, but one thing he understood for sure—He was fucked up.

A really short chapter, but adding more felt awkward 囧rz

Anyway here a scribble of those three dorks
