"Meredith, stop it already. Didn't Derek already tell you about our conversation", I stated while entering Meredith's house. Trailing behind me was the said woman, who was so eager to get me to therapy.

We had just finished attending mass, and Meredith hadn't stopped talking about me going to therapy. Since finding myself in this new world, I wanted to have God on my side. I could use all the help I could get, and Meredith was willing to accompany me in that regard. However, it seemed she had other reasons why she went with me to church to begin with and she hasn't stopped talking about it since.

"I just think therapy could help you, Lucas," Meredith said with concern in her voice. "Webber told me about a song you sang at school, and I worry about you."

Thinking about it quickly, Webber most likely knew about my song due to Principal Ted informing him.

With a sigh, I responded, "Being a musician means expressing oneself through emotional songs. It's a normal part of the art form." While I appreciated Meredith's concern, I felt she was taking her role as my sister a bit too seriously at the moment. I didn't believe there was a need to overanalyze every song I sang. Sometimes playing sad songs was just a way to express myself musically and plus there's something about captivating a crowd's emotions through a sad song that just makes a singer proud of his work.

Not wanting to continue the conversation, I retreated to my room to retrieve my guitar. Today was Sunday, and it was the scheduled day for the iCarly web show. Carly had already texted me, reminding me to prepare before the show aired tonight. I needed to arrive early at her apartment to rehearse and figure out what songs I was going to play.

As I made my way out of the room, Izzie noticed me, and our eyes met briefly. With a compassionate tone, she spoke up, "You know, she's just concerned. She's trying her best to be a supportive sister."

"I understand, but I'm getting tired of having the same conversation over and over again," I stated, expressing my frustration.

Realizing that I no longer wished to discuss the topic, Izzie let it go and changed the subject. "Going somewhere?" she asked with curiosity in her voice.

"Yeah, I'm going to a friend's house. They invited me to be on their web show, and I might have a chance to sing live," I explained.

"I'll take you," Izzie offered, which I was grateful for. I wasn't sure if I could handle an entire car ride with Meredith right now. With her constant nagging about therapy, it would be unbearable. Without wasting any time, Izzie swiftly went into her room to grab her keys.

As we made our way down the stairs, Meredith, still eager to resume the conversation, was abruptly halted when Izzie interjected, while grabbing Meredith's arm, "I'll take Lucas to his friend's house."

Sensing the opportunity to escape the impending discussion, I quickly bid my goodbyes and hurriedly left the house before Meredith could restart the conversation.

"Let it go, Mer. The kid's tough," Alex chimed in as he carried his freshly laundered clothes to his room.

Meanwhile, on the set of iCarly, Carly and Sam positioned themselves near a mirror, engrossed in their own preparations. Sam skillfully helped Carly apply lip gloss, fix her hair, and choose the perfect perfume, all in eager anticipation of Lucas Grey's arrival.

Carly's growing interest in Lucas had deeply bothered Freddie. Throughout the day, he couldn't help but hear Carly's incessant excitement about Lucas playing in iCarly, which fueled Freddie's annoyance and frustration.

As Freddie meticulously checked the sound system, conducting multiple microphone tests, Carly approached him with a request. "Freddie, make sure the piano is functioning properly. I borrowed it from school, and we can't afford any issues when Lucas performs."

Gritting his teeth, Freddie responded with forced politeness, his jaw clenched. "Of course, Carly. I'll make sure everything is in perfect order for Lucas."

"Hey there, kiddos! I brought some freshly cut fruits!" Spencer exclaimed cheerfully as he entered the room, holding a bowl filled with an assortment of sliced fruits.

"No thanks."

"We're good."

"No thank you."

"Wow, tough crowd," Spencer commented, a hint of disappointment in his voice. He couldn't help but notice Carly and Sam's continuous glances towards the mirror, piquing his curiosity. With fruit in hand, he approached Freddie and inquired, "What's happening? Why is Carly getting all dolled up?"

Freddie, clearly irritated, retorted, "It's because of Lucas who's coming to the show."

"Lucas? Who's that?" Spencer inquired, raising an intrigued eyebrow.

"He's a new student at our school," Freddie explained, his annoyance evident in his voice.

With a mischievous grin, Spencer playfully teased, "Ah, so you're feeling a little jealous, huh?"

"Shut up," Freddie snapped, his frustration evident as he walked over to the piano, double-checking the connections of the sound system.

Noticing Freddie's agitation, Spencer decided to hold back his teasing and offer some advice instead. However, before he could say anything, the doorbell of the apartment suddenly rang, breaking the atmosphere in the room.

"I'm on it!" Carly exclaimed, swiftly leaving the room and making her way downstairs. Sam followed closely behind her, and Spencer, munching on his fruits, trailed after the two girls. Hearing about this Lucas kid made him curious, and he was quite eager to see what this boy looked like.

As Carly opened the door, both Lucas and Izzie stood on the other side.

"Hi, come in," Carly greeted with a smile on her face.

"Thanks," Lucas replied, stepping inside with his companion. "This is Izzie Stevens, by the way. She's a doctor and one of my sister's closest friends," he introduced, gesturing toward Izzie.

Before Izzie could extend her hand to shake Carly's, Spencer swiftly reached out and took her hand, saying, "Hi, I'm Spencer Shay, Carly's older brother. Nice to meet you."

Momentarily taken aback, Izzie quickly composed herself and responded, "Nice to meet you too, Spencer."

"You want some cut fruits?" Spencer offered, extending his bowl of fruits to Izzie.

Caught off guard by the sudden offer, Izzie politely declined, "No, I'm fine. Thanks," a warm smile gracing her face.

Observing the interaction, Lucas couldn't help but smile. He vaguely remembered Spencer's humorous antics on the show when it came to women, and seeing it play out in real life was quite amusing to him.

In Lucas' memory, the show ended with Spencer not having found a partner. However, it would be quite interesting if Spencer could enter into a relationship with a doctor from Seattle Grace. If that were to happen, Spencer would clearly be dating above his weight class.
