Trevor was surprised and exclaimed: "What? Don't you know that only the Supreme Elders and the Head of the Sect have the right to enter the Vault?"

Mac waved his hand dismissively. "So what?" he replied nonchalantly. "I'm going to get there anyway!" The unwavering confidence in Mac's voice inspired Trevor to believe in his friend's determination.

"Why would you want to go into the Cult's Vault? Is there anything more to be found there than just the original sword techniques?" Trevor scratched his head, trying to understand Mac's intentions.

Mac stopped for a moment, letting a smile light up his face. "Indeed, most of the items in the Sect's Vault are original sword techniques. But don't you realise that these are not original sword techniques, they are only abridged copies of the originals? To truly comprehend these techniques, one must delve into the original sword techniques themselves."

"Really? So we don't fully understand the sword techniques?", Trevor wondered.
As he was about to say his question out loud, a two-storey, medium-sized house with a large balcony on the 2nd floor appeared before his eyes.

Trevor squinted his eyes and saw a person on the balcony that he had definitely seen before, but due to the poor lighting on the balcony, he could not identify who it was.

As he got a little closer, it dawned on him. This person was Elder Strye.

The Elder's appearance was as neat as ever. His face, however, expressed some kind of concern unknown to Trevor. Trevor looked closely, and his mind instantly understood.

Although Trevor did not know what the Elder was thinking, he knew that nothing good would come of it.

So the next moment he quickly said goodbye to Mac and, despite his inner trauma, left Mac at a fairly fast pace.

Mac was surprised by this behaviour, but out of the corner of his eye he saw his house, with his grandfather standing on the balcony. Mac looked closely.

There was only one word to describe the Elder's appearance - and that word was "tense".

He stood on the balcony of his room and carefully surveyed the surrounding space like a hawk waiting for its prey.

Mac immediately realised what was happening. This was not the first time Miss Rosalyn had come to his grandfather with complaints.

As Elder Stry looked out over the view from the balcony of the house, he noticed Mac walking towards the house with a light step. As Mac got closer to the house, the Elder waved his head, inviting Mac to come into his room.

Mac nodded in agreement and a few seconds later he went up to the 2nd floor and entered the Elder's room. Upon entering, Mac saw a serious expression on his grandfather's face.

His back was straight, his chin was raised, and his hands were behind his back.

Elder Stray's and Mac's eyes met.

The elder's piercing and cold gaze, combined with his stony face, which expressed absolute seriousness, could frighten anyone.

But none of this scared Mac.

After all, he knew his grandfather well. He could seem cruel and cold on the outside, but inside he was a very warm and caring person. That's why Mac wasn't even nervous. He looked directly into the Elder's eyes.

Mac's head was slightly tilted forward, although his back was straight and his shoulders were relaxed. His eyebrows were slightly lowered.

And Mac's mouth stretched into a wide smile, which at first glance might look like a carefree child's smile.

But if you look at the whole face, now Mac's face was more like Elder Stray's. Even though it was younger and had a wide smile.

After all, we should not forget that the grandson of Tiger is also Tiger.

Therefore, looking at the situation from the outside, it was difficult to tell who was the predator and who was the prey.

"I heard that you don't go to classes, is it true?", the Elder asked menacingly.

"So what? All the knowledge they can give me in those 'lessons', I got when I was 12 years old reading the books of the Sect's Library."

"And who is supposed to teach anyone else? As for me, my knowledge is quite enough to be a teacher for this Miss Rosalyn!"

Mac wanted to say, but stopped. He remembered that his grandfather Stry was the only close person he had on the continent of Pangea.

So if he said that, he would definitely get into a fight with his grandfather. And Mac didn't want that. So Mac decided to keep quiet. He looked at his grandfather indifferently and said nothing.

To put it mildly, the Elder did not like Mac's behaviour.

The next moment, he released a stream of heavy energy that quickly spread throughout the room.

This energy was unbearable for anyone who was exposed to it. And Mac was no exception.

He instantly felt a heavy energy pressing down on him. Mac's heart clenched. But at the same time, he was surprised. Mac's spiritual energy, which was as heavy and hot as molten metal, began to move rapidly through the energy channels.

This was the first time Mac had ever felt his spiritual energy move at such a fast rate.

After the spiritual energy had travelled a full circle through Mac's body, he felt the pressure from his grandfather's heavy energy gradually decrease.

After several complete circles through the body, the spiritual energy allowed Mac to feel almost completely free of the pressure of the energy. Because the spiritual energy had spread to every part of Mac's body, it was steadily resisting the unknown threat.

Elder Stry, who had first seen the tension on Mac's face, then the surprise, and now the lightness, was surprised. He furrowed his brow and repeated his question.

This time Mac answered.

"Since I was lagging behind my peers in terms of cultivation level, I was busy cultivating and practising the basics of swordsmanship all day today," Mac replied calmly and without a tremor in his voice.

Hearing the answer, the Elder calmed down and looked at him with a kind of unusual hope in his eyes.

"Well. It's good that you understand your situation and still have hope. But you, as a disciple of the Silver Blade Sect, must attend classes at the House of Education. So tomorrow, you will go to class and apologise to Miss Rosalyn," the Elder's voice was calm, and the way he spoke was more like an order than a request.

Although Mac didn't like the idea at first, he restrained himself.

And the next moment, Mac agreed with his grandfather's words and slowly went to his room with a sly glint in his eye.

The next morning Mac had a good breakfast and quickly ran out of the house. He ran to a house that was a few hundred steps away from his home.

When Mac ran, he calmly opened the door, which was unlocked, and entered the house.

With inquisitive eyes, Mac looked around the living room and the adjacent corridor, his gaze fixed on the many books that adorned every shelf in the house.

The scientific treasures gathered here seemed to have given rise to a vibrant ecosystem of knowledge. The books in the house were piled high, almost touching the high ceiling.

Checking to see if there were people on the 1st floor of the house, Mac was a little disappointed. "If there are no people on the 1st floor, they must be on the 2nd floor.

With measured steps, Mac climbed the weathered stairs, the steps of which were covered with the weight of time and countless volumes of books.

As his eyes traced the familiar path, an interesting sight unfolded before him.
At a large table decorated with many scientific artefacts, a figure sat alone, hunched over and immersed in the realm of dreams.

Books, scrolls, parchment, an inkwell and a quill, accompanied by tired hands on which the figure's head rested, formed a picture of the scientist's daily life.

As Mac came closer, he heard a soft snoring.

It was Elder Toth. He looked to be 55-60 years old, although in reality he had only turned 50 this year, perhaps due to his thin figure and tired face. He and Mac's grandfather were both library workers.

But unlike Elder Stray, who held a senior position in the Sect's Library, Elder Toth was engaged in translating, interpreting and analysing ancient books and scrolls, although he was also the Sect's chief expert in the field of ancient manuscripts.

He was also the man who warmly regarded little Mac's fascination with books.

Approaching him with a mixture of respect and familiarity, Mac carefully spoke Elder Toth's name, his voice carried on the wings of caution, as if afraid to disturb the peace that enveloped the room.

Hearing the strange noise, Elder Toth slowly raised his head from the table. A small stream of saliva flowed out of his mouth and down his chin, covering the contours of his neck.

His sleepy eyes, not yet accustomed to the sunlight, were squinted and it seemed that it was not Elder Toth in front of Mac, but a blind mole who had been pulled out of the ground by force and turned his face to the sun.

The Elder slowly turned his head to see where the noise was coming from. Mac repeated himself.

This time Elder Toth looked carefully in Mac's direction, but only when he put on his crystal monocle could he recognise the unknown dark person as Mac.

The elder asked in a hoarse voice, and his words sounded like an echo from the distant past.

"Have you come to return the book?" The elder was clearly not awake yet, and he uttered the words he used most often in his communication with Mac.

Mac could hardly stop himself from laughing at this situation. Mac swallowed his laughter and said in a serious tone.

"I'll return the book to you later, but today I've come to ask you for a favour that you can do for me."

The confusion had not left the Elder's face since he had been awakened.

"A favour? What favour? Be specific!"

"It's simple! Tell my grandfather that today I was going to help you analyse an ancient book."

The elder instantly changed his face because he did not want to deceive his colleague and his boss in the same person. Noticing this sudden change, Mac quickly added.

"It's just that I haven't been going to classes at the Education Building lately. And yesterday, Miss Rosalyn came to my grandfather and started complaining. So my grandfather is making me go to those lessons," Mac said in a sinking voice.

The conversation with Mac completely brought Elder Thoth out of his sleep, and his senses were now fully attuned to the world around him. With deliberate movements, he gathered a handful of books, holding them carefully against his chest.

With a practiced wave of his hand, he wiped the saliva from his lips, and the newfound vital energy flowed throughout his entire being. As if this simple act of tidying up had a profound meaning, his back straightened, his head lifted, and a cascade of dirt fell from his clothes, symbolising rebirth.

Mac, who was watching the metamorphosis taking place before his eyes, was openly amazed at the transformation.

The image of the Elder, lost in the realm of dreams a few minutes ago, with saliva running down his chin, seemed like a distant memory. Instead, what stood before Mac resembled not a disheveled tramp, but a magnificent peacock, shining in its newfound splendour.

For a minute, Mac and Elder Toth looked intently into each other's eyes, and finally Elder Toth decided to continue.

"I don't understand why you have to go to those lessons at all. Especially to the adept Rosalyn, because if I remember correctly, it was in her lesson that you pointed out the error in her knowledge. I have told your grandfather many times that your place is not at a school desk, but at a large table in one of the rooms of the Sect's Library," Elder Toth said with a tone and manner that was only characteristic of scholarship.

"Very well. But I advise you to somehow fix this unpleasant situation with the Rosalyn adaptation, or you will have some "fun" days ahead of you," the Elder said calmly, warning of trouble.

Mac nodded and said that he would certainly take the Elder's words into consideration.
