Meng Lin smiled at her progress, she felt stronger and more confident than ever before.

She had been working hard to improve her cultivation and it was paying off, she looked around her room, taking in the familiar sights of the blacksmiths room.

It might as well be her sanctuary now, it has become a place where she could focus on her progress without any distractions.

As she stepped out of her room, she saw a girl sitting by the side of the pond, the girl’s body had scars all over however it seems to have long dried.

Currently the girl was looking into the pond water which housed a massive shadow slithering from side to side.

Noticing Meng Lin the girl looked up to gaze at Meng Lin, her eyes a shade of comfort and bewildered.

It was Xi Lin, one of the three girls that Meng Lin had in her system inventory space.

“You’re still not used to the courtyard” Meng Lin asked, a small smile on her face.

Xi Lin shook her head, “No, I’m not. The creature in the pond still scares me.”

Meng Lin walked over to the girl, “Don’t worry, he won’t harm you as long as you don’t disturb him.”

Xi Lin looked towards the pond and wasn’t sure of what to say, she couldn’t help but think back a few days ago, when they arrived at the courtyard.

Other than confusion and baffling expressions, she remembered how scared she felt when the snake gazed at her, even De Sijie, the loud one of the three quieted down after seeing the snake.

Meng Lin sat down next to the Xi Lin and spoke, “It’s only been 4 days and you’re already in the 8th of the Qi gathering realm”

Xi Lin nodded, “Yes, I feel like I’m progressing faster than ever before, however jumping from the 6th realm to the 8th has made my qi a bit shaky”

Meng Lin nodded, “That’s normal, just focus on stabilizing it and you’ll be fine. Remember to use the realm solidifying pills that you’re making.”

Xi Lin nooded and smiled gratefully, “Thank you Miss Lin. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Meng Lin smiled warily at the name as continued, “You would have figured it out eventually, Your Elixer Construe Art is also progressing nicely.”

Xi Lin nodded, “Yes, thanks to the books you’ve bought for us.”

The two girls sat in silence for a while, just enjoying the peacefulness of the courtyard.

Meng Lin had already found solace in this place, and it seemed like Xi Lin was slowly starting to as well.

“Hmm” Meng Lin looked to the courtyard house, towards one of the rooms and she held a small smile on her face.

Xi Lin who had noticed Meng Lin’s reaction couldn’t help but ask as she held a curious expression on her face.

“What is it”

“De Sijie has broken through” Meng Lin replied, slight excitement evident in her voice.

Xi Lin’s eyes widened in surprise, “what? Already?”

Meng Lin nooded, “from the 8th to the 9th stage of the Qi gathering realm, after seeing your progress she had been cooped up in her room and it seems to have finally paid off”

Xi Lin smiled in understanding, “She’s always been competitive, but I’m happy for her.”

Meng Lin stood up, “Let’s go”

The two girls walked towards the house, both carrying different thoughts in their head.

Xi Lin was thinking about how fast everything seems to be happening, even going as far as thinking of this as a dream, Meng Lin on the other hand was actually feeling a sense of pride at the moment.

As they entered the room, they saw De Sijie sitting cross-legged on the floor, her eyes were closed in deep meditation.

Meng Lin and Xi Lin didn’t interrupt her as they waited until De Sijie was finish with her final circulation.

De Sijie slowly opened her eyes, a small boastful smile on her face.

“Congratulations, De Sijie,” Meng Lin said, a genuine smile on her face.

De Sijie stood up, a triumphant look in her eyes, “Thanks, I couldn’t just let myself be in a standstill with these non geniuses”

Xi Lin spoke with a strong stare, “since when were you a genius, It’s all thanks to Miss who guided us on our cultivation, otherwise, we wouldn’t have progress so fast”

De Sijie laughed, “Miss this and miss that, you realize that you’re older than all of us right”

Meng Lin smiled, “Age doesn’t determine one’s ability to be a mentor or a guide, De Sijie. It’s about the knowledge and experience that one has acquired.”

De Sijie rolled her eyes, “Whatever you say, I guess I owe you that one.”

Meng Lin waved her hand, “No need to owe me anything, we’ve made a vow so it’s part of my job”

“Now then, I want you two to solify your cultivations before moving onto the next realm, your revenge won’t begin without that.”

Xi Lin and De Sijie nodded in agreement. They knew that they needed to focus on their cultivation if they wanted to achieve their goal.

Before, they couldn’t even imagine it but now there was a chance of success and they wouldn’t let it go.

Meng Lin continued, “And remember, you’re a team. You support and help each other and you’ll get through things together”

“But that twerp is still at the 6th stage, she still hasn’t gotten over her fears” De Sijie sighed, referring to the Xi Lan who was still stuck in her room.

Meng Lin nooded, “Give her time, everyone has their own pace”

Xi Lin added, “I’ll help her when she’s ready.”

De Sijie grumbled, “I just hope she doesn’t hold us back.”

Meng Lin gave her a stern look, “you’re not leaving anyone behind. You help each other grow and overcome your fears.”

De Sijie grumbled, chastised. She still remembered the past so she couldn’t help be nod “You’re right.”

Meng Lin smiled, “Let’s focus on our cultivation and work towards our goal.”

The two girls nodded in agreement, their determination renewed. With Meng Lin’s guidance and their teamwork, they felt that they could achieve their goals.

“My mission will begin in three days, so you three will be in your own for a while, you remember what I told you, don’t go out at that time, and I’ll prepare the necessary materials for you before I go”
Meng Lin said, a hint of worry in her voice.

She wasn’t particularly worried about the mission but more so about the disciple that threaten her.

The two girls nodded in understanding, knowing that Meng Lin’s mission was important and that they needed to cautious without her.

“For now just continue to work on your alchemy, I want to see your progress”

The two girls nooded as they began to start their alchemy right away, Meng Lin stood by the side and watched with a light smile on her face.

She was making it a habit of watching them work and by doing so, she would gain experience. By the time she opens her Alchemy Panel, she should be able to easily create pills, she hoped.
