Three days later, as he promised, Jason met with the man again.

Considering the time needed, Jason could already deduce the man was using his blood for a DNA test and unexpectedly he also saw Jessica sitting along with the man while smiling as if she  always had a good relationship with him.

"So?" Jason opened his mouth.

The man have a mixed feelings on his face and didn't say anything. He just gave Jason a piece of paper to read.

 

 

The report was concise and didn't have any unnecessary information thus it took him no time to finish reading it.

Jason stared at the middle age man sitting across of him, "So are you Alexander Nikolai Sergeyev?"

"Yes and my name is Jessica Pearl Sergeyev. Welcome to the family little brother," Jessica said excitedly.

However Jason ignored her, instead he still focus on the man, "Why does it seem you didn't expect such a result? If you don't want me, why don't you just kill me when I still was a baby? And why did you decided to do a DNA test on me? "

"Jason! How can you say that to daddy?" Jessica was flabbergasted.

"My dear Pearl, can you leave us alone? No matter what you hear, don't come in until I say so," Alexander said with no room of objection.

"Do you forget that I didn't hand over my gun to the butler today?" Jason asked.

"I know. But listen to what I say first then you can shoot me if you want."

"Proceed," Jason hold the gun in his right hand and said.

Alexander didn't even look at the gun and just took a deep breath before he started explaining his side of the story.

His great grandparents were a distant relative of the last Tsar¹Russian emperor. However, when the royal family was eliminated, Alexander's great grandparents went into hiding. Since their wealth was also seized by the revolutionary army, his family started to get involved with the militant groups and soon they formed the biggest mafia group in the country.

 

Later, during his generation, Alexander's father managed to slowly whitewash their mafia family into a legitimate business but after decades of shady business, obviously they have enemies all around.

"It was around that time I met your mother."

It was a story of the heir of a large, long standing mafia group and a foreign worker he fall in love with, at the first sight.

They first met at a coffee shop where the foreign worker had trouble with ordering her coffee. The waiter didn't understand her and she also didn't understand what the waiter was saying.

That was when the mafia heir stepped up and help her. They immediately became acquaintances.

From then on, they would meet every weekend. The mafia heir would teach the foreign worker Russian language and in exchange, the foreign worker would give him delicious homemade food and pay for his expenses every time they met.

The more they spent time together, the more they realized their feelings to each other and both of them confessed to each other almost simultaneously. That was just how compatible they were.

"I have a stoic face but she didn't mind and instead said that was my charm and she could understand me pretty well. She obviously knew I wasn't a good man but she still accept me."

Later, that woman told him that her family summoned her home thus she went to her home country, which is Country M.

"I lost contact with her ever since but around nine months after that someone send me a letter and it was from her."

Alexander said the letter contain a really heart wrenching content. That woman was unknowingly pregnant with their baby but Alexander was busy transitioning his family business and couldn't leave so he tasked one of his most trusted subordinate to find her and protect her.

"That bastard did the opposite. He gave her poison and the baby died during childbirth. She took the dead baby and went back to her family. I tried to contact her but her father told me to let her daughter go. If she is with me, maybe next time, it would be her who died. So I let her go."

Jason listened intently and didn't interrupt until Alexander stopped talking, "So you thought I already dead? Why did you never investigate about it?"

Alexander smile deprecatingly, "Imagine your love one told you to let them go and move on. Would you still continue stuck in the past alone. Your mother remarried a few years after that and that was when I knew we're really not meant together. Seeing her moving on, do you think I have any reason to investigate especially when she herself said the baby died. Our baby died. I lose my lover and even my child."

In actuality, Jason didn't intend to blame Alexander especially when he noticed Alexander didn't seem to be the man who told Jun Sooyoung to sign the birth certificate.

"It must be that bastard. I interrogate him why he did that and he said it was because I'm too soft hearted to inherit the family so I killed him. Maybe he is cursing me in hell right now."

'Wow, your temper is even worst than the original Jason. Is that why they said blood is thicker than water?'

"So how do you know I might lead to something different? Isn't that why you bring me here?"

Alexander went to a drawer and took a file out. When he opened it, there was a picture of a young man, looking eight to nine points similar to Jason.

"This is an AI generated photo. I put my picture during my 20s and your mother's picture before I set the AI to generate a young man's face from combining both pictures with the ratio of 50:50 from each pictures and this is the result," Alexander explained that the moment he saw how uncanny the similarity between Jason and the AI generated picture, he knew he needed to meet with him.

Jason never thought the function of AI technology that most people used for fun to predict their future children's faces would lead to such things but he also had other things to do, "So can you send me back now? I have work to do?"

"But-"

"Tsk, you can just come find me right? Do I need to stuck here at this isolated place? How will I change my last name if I'm stuck here?"

Dumbfounded, Alexander was rendered speechless before he roared, "You brat. Can't you be more polite to your daddy?"

"Who the hell call their father daddy? That sounds gross."

"Hey, who is gross," Jessica said dissatisfied.

"By the way who is she?" Jason asked.

"He is your older half sister. Her mother is my first wife but I divorced her and she's dead now so you can say that I'm indeed quite unlucky when it come to this type of thing."

"Your look is not bad. Why not you try again, maybe this time it will work," Jason suggested.

"Right?! I told him that he is still attractive and even girls my age will gladly accept him," Jessica agreed.

"Really, you want a stepmother that is the same age as you?" Jason was dumbfounded.

"Well, she can try. Whether she succeed or not, I will not interfere."

"Such a good daughter ah."

"You're also no bad little bro."

Seeing the siblings bonded over him getting a new wife, Alexander immediately kicked them out from his study.

"Now, let this sister send you back. If you have any problem, give me a call and I will buy you a new gun."

"The call is fine but I have no need for the gun."

Qi Cheng was exhausted but he knew he was the only heir to inherit the Qi family thus he needed to perform on par with the expectation put on him.

"Young master, we already booked a suite for you. Do you have any other request?" His personal assistant said after they arrived at the hotel lobby.

Qi Cheng wanted to say no before he suddenly saw someone he knew quite a distance away from him. The other person didn't seem to notice him at all.

Even the personal assistant  noticed them since the pair of man and woman were both good looking and eye-catching.

"Isn't that Jason Jung?" The personal assistant muttered.

"Yes, young master."

Meanwhile, around the same time, Jason couldn't help but felt suffocated when Jessica kept on clinging on him.

The previously refined and elegant young woman was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was a woman stumping her feet and pouting in front of Jason and Kim Raebin.

"Fine fine. Since I'm your lil bro, did the previous offer gone? I thought I will have the opportunity to work with James Han?"

Jessica seemed to just remember about it and said excitedly, "Of course it's still there. My lil bro is so talented so as the biggest investor, I will directly tell James Han about it. So prepare yourself."

"I will let you go after I sent you to the airport. Let's go eat first."

It was the pictures of his husband hugging another woman in a foreign country.

Zheng Roufeng felt even more frustrated when he heard Adam's unpleasant voice, "No. I can't contact him."

Looking at the comments, Jason knew he would definitely be blocked by the reporters if he went through the normal route thus he decided to take the private path towards his car that already waiting for him.

Inside the car, he scrolled down social media and saw Jessica already quoted the news with a statement.

 

The reaction was varied under the comment sections thus while the situation is still fresh, Jason immediately replied.

The two of their statement got a lot of attention and maybe because Jessica was dissatisfied with his comment, she decided to post a picture of them in the mansion and even Alexender was included in the picture.

It was a selfie picture Jessica taken sneakily while Jason and Alexander still talking.

"Ehem Jason, your husband has been calling me non-stop," Kim Raebin reminded.

Jason glanced at him before saying, "Message him and tell him that I will arrive at our new house in half an hour. You also tell the PR department to contact Jessica's PR team to make a joint statement."

"Ok. I will also try to track down the one behind it because this doesn't seem to be the work of an ordinary paparazzi."

Alexander Nikolai Sergeyev is one of the richest man in Country R with background of noble lineages with connection to the mafias and government since he is a well-known oil tycoon so would any paparazzi in Country R dare do such thing as making up rumors of a secret rendezvous of Alexander's only daughter?
