"Jason, thank you for coming," Adam said before his focus immediately went towards the woman beside Jason.

 

 

"Jessica, my Queen, do you feel hurt anywhere?" Adam asked seemingly worried.

 

"No," Jessica looked obviously confused.

 

 

"Really? Doesn't it hurt for a beautiful angel like you to fall down to this mortal world," Adam said seriously.

 

 

Jason almost spit out his drink to laugh when he saw how stunned Jessica looked when she heard such a cringe pickup line.

 

 

Jessica's fair face blushed like a ripe tomato but her expression didn't change much and she said arrogantly, "Well, be grateful that I'm blessing you with my beauty by standing here, you mortal....puppy."

 

 

 

"Woof, yes thank you for blessing me with your presence."

 

 

Jason who was listening couldn't help but felt he was watching a theatrical performance unfolding in front of him.

 

 

They were currently on the He family's cruise ship and coincidentally Adam also hosted a party to celebrate his parents wedding anniversary.

 

 

And Jason was one of the performers at the party. He just finished performing and was spending time on the deck, enjoying the night breeze.

 

 

His father went to find some booze and snacks for them while it was unknown where Zheng Roufeng went.

 

 

"Hey Jay, what are you thinking about?" Jessica's voice made Jason turn towards her.

"By the way, I found out the person who spread the scandal about us and later on tried to make you look like a gold digger by revealing Roufeng's background and your relationship with him," Jessica said in a suspenseful tone.

 

 

Jason looked at her and make a guess, "It's Qi Cheng isn't it?"

 

 

Both Jessica and Adam were dumbfounded and asked at the same time, "How do you know?"

 

 

 

Jason just shrugged his shoulders, "Just a wild guess. I don't have that many people who hate me but also knew about my relationship with Roufeng."

 

 

Unlike Zheng Roufeng who publicized that he is already married, Jason never publicly announced he's married until the case with Bai Wehan's court hearing became viral. Despite that, Jason never told the public who his husband is.

 

 

There was also no benefit for RaeStar artists to reveal such a thing and discredit Jason since Jason is one of the shareholder.

 

 

Thus that narrow down to only a handful of suspect and considering the current situation of the Gu family, the Qi family was the most likely suspect thus there was only Qi Cheng left.

 

 

"And it's so obvious," that guy Qi Cheng doesn't like me. Maybe he thought I'm unworthy to be with Zheng Roufeng.

 

 

 

Hearing Jason's words, Adam couldn't help but said, "So you know huh? That guy have been in love with Roufeng for almost a decade. I don't know why he still can't let him go."

 

 

This time, it was Jason and Jessica who asked the same question, "What?"

 

 

Adam scratched his cheek, "Eh, I thought you already know about that?"

 

 

Jason felt he finally understand why Qi Cheng didn't like him. Who would like a sudden love rival appearing and instantly marrying the man you have been in love with for a long time.

 

 

"So lil bro, what are you going to do?" Jessica asked curiously.

 

 

"I don't really play this kind of love rival game. As long as he doesn't cross the line, I will let him jump around however he wants to."

 

 

"Jason, can you please not tell Roufeng? He never noticed anything about Qi Cheng's feeling towards him and I only knew about it because Qi Cheng spilled it to me when he was drunk. I just don't want us close friends to be awkward," Adam said.

 

 

 

"Ok," Jason agreed easily not because he agreed with what Adam said but because he knew his husband are not that dense.

 

 

Around the same time, Zheng Roufeng was walking alone towards the private lounge Zhang Aiming told him.

 

 

Entering the lounge, Zheng Roufeng saw Zhang Aiming with his sister Zhang Arin along with Gu Xin and the Gerald couple and their second son, Edward.

 

 

"Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Gerald. May your marriage last a lifetime," Zheng Roufeng wished the two people.

 

 

"Thank you Roufeng. You're always so sensible unlike Adam. By the way, it's been a long time since you last saw Edward right. Eddie, why didn't you say hi to your brother's close friend?" Mrs Gerald said.

 

 

Edward smiled shyly, "Hi brother Roufeng."

 

 

"Hi Edward," Zheng Roufeng smiled lightly.

 

 

He had known Edward had a crush on him but as someone who have a rough childhood, Zheng Roufeng never interested in a sunny, pampered young master like Edward.

 

 

Edward was the son that Mr and Mrs Gerald anticipated. If not because Adam told him, he wouldn't know that Edward was born through surrogacy since Mrs Gerald couldn't get pregnant.

 

 

"Let's sit down Mr Zheng. It's not like it's our first time meeting," Zhang Aiming suggested.

 

 

Mr and Mrs Gerald were worried that Zheng Roufeng would feel uncomfortable especially when they knew that Gu Xin was his half-brother. But seeing Zheng Roufeng's calm face, they didn't say anything.

 

 

 

"By the way Eddie, auntie bought you something, this is the cufflinks from the famous designer that I get from an auction. Happy belated birthday," Zhang Arin said before she passed a small box of present to Edward.

 

 

 

Mrs Gerald looked pleased when she saw her son looked excited, "Arin, no need to spoil this kid too much. You always give him expensive gifts every year."

 

 

"It's fine. Seeing Eddie grow up healthily already make me happy and I don't have anyone to give the gift so why not give it to him?" Zhang Arin said calmly.

 

 

No one said anything since they knew the real reason why Zhang Arin did it except for Zheng Roufeng.

 

"Thank you auntie Arin. I thought you forgot about my birthday this year," Edward looked genuinely happy.

 

 

"I'm just a bit busy but I will not forget."

 

Zheng Roufeng looked at the box and felt the cufflinks did indeed pretty but since he didn't have anything to say, he asked, "I forgot when is your birthday Edward?"

 

 

 

Edward puffed his cheek as if he was sulking, "It's always like this. You always forget about my birthday. It's October 6 ok. I'm a Libra."

 

 

Zheng Roufeng felt regret asking the question since who would have thought this kid to have the same birthday as his husband, Jason and to make things worst, they even born in the same year which means they have the same age.

 

 

He didn't even dare to compare the two since he kept imagining Jason kicking Edward around like a kid playing with ball. 

 

 

"My bad, I will ask my husband what gift to give you since he's better than me at this," Zheng Roufeng didn't want to bother with Edward much.

 

 

He only treated Edward nicely because he is Adam's younger brother. Plus the Gerald has help him before when he just started his investment company.

 

 

"Your husband is the one who do the opening performance isn't it? Adam also talked about him before and his sister looked so pretty. Their genetic must be good," Mrs Gerald as a renowned painter couldn't help but to admit she is a face con.

 

 

 

"Yes he is. If you want to meet him, he's sitting on the deck with his sister and Adam."

 

 

 

"Don't forget to invite us to the wedding," Mr Gerald reminded.

 

After talking for a while, they decided to take a breather and went to the deck for fresh air.

 

 

While walking, Zheng Roufeng saw Adam was taking Jessica's picture while Jason was holding a flashlight, pointing towards Jessica.

 

 

"What are you guys doing?" Zheng Roufeng asked.

 

 

"Being a lightbulb. Where you go for so long?" Jason said before pointing the flashlight elsewhere.

 

 

"Jay, the lighting," Jessica whined.

 

 

"It's ok Princess, you still glow without any additional light," Adam said while continue clicking his camera shutter.

 

 

"What do you think I'm some kind of glow in the dark fish?"

 

 

"No, you're a firefly."

 

 

"Oh, that's why my butt seems glowing."

 

"You-" Adam didn't know whether he should laugh or not.

 

 

Mr and Mrs Gerald seem to enjoy seeing Jessica and Adam's interaction.

 

 

"Its been while since I last saw Adam teased and praise someone like that," Mrs Gerald said.

 

 

After the incident where Adam quit his job as a journalist, he was never the same anymore despite how much he acted cheerful in front of everyone.

 

 

It was the first time they saw Adam acted genuinely carefree with someone.

 

 

"Ehem, this is my husband Jason and Jason this is Adam's parents, Mr and Mrs Gerald while this is Adam's younger brother Edward."

 

Jason shook hands with them but the moment he shook hands with Edward, he could feel the other party tried to squeeze his hand but he didn't feel pain instead he felt as if a soft skin is tickling his hand while holding his hand tightly like a baby.

 

 

Despite sensing the slightly annoying vibe, Jason decided to be the mature one, "Hi, I'm Jason. You can just call me Jason or brother Jason."

 

 

"What brother? Aren't you the same age as me?"

 

 

"I'm 26 though."

 

 

"I'm also 26 this year. My birthday is last October."

 

 

Jason who thought Edward was younger than him couldn't help but felt slightly surprised that they were the same age, "Oh, sorry."

 

 

Mrs Gerald chuckled, "No it's fine. People always thought Eddie is younger than his real age. Since you guys are the same age, why not you guys hang out together?"

 

 

Jason wanted to refuse but Edward already did it before him, "No it's fine. I don't really go along with common people."

 

 

"Eddie, how can you say that-"

 

 

But before Mrs Gerald could nag her son more, Jessica already interrupted, "Hey brat, my brother himself worth a million dollar ok. That is just his assets and businesses he owned not our family money. How much personal asset or cash in total that you have? Plus, if being the only son of an oil tycoon from Country R considered a commoner then maybe you need to reflect whether you might be also a commoner or not."

 

 

 

"You, bit-"

 

 

"Eww, such an uncultured brat. You who looked like someone who didn't pass puberty yet dare talk like that," Jessica continued spewing poisonous words before she turned to Mrs Gerald.

 

 

"By the way ma'am, I'm sorry for being angry at your son but my brother is too naïve so I need to protect him from someone with no manners."

 

 

Mrs Gerald has good impression on Jessica and seeing her having such a strong personality, Mrs Gerald likes her even more, "It's fine. Eddie is just too blunt with words and sometime he said something he didn't mean at all. I hope you don't mind it much Jason."

 

 

"It's fine," Jason never bother to argue with kids.

 

 

Suddenly there was a commotion coming from not far from them and when they looked at it, Zheng Roufeng couldn't help but felt his face sank.

 

 

He knew Gu Xihuai had been bailed out for the time being until the court hearing but he never thought Gu Xihuai would appeared on this cruise.

 

 

"Who- holy shit," Adam couldn't help but curse.

 

 

'Tsk, he dare come here,' Jason couldn't help but felt ominous for some reason.

 

 

"Drag him away," Jason ordered the bodyguard before he continued, "If he resist, just throw him into the ocean."

 

 

He knew Zheng Roufeng didn't have any affection left for this scum father so why would Jason be cautious when dealing with him.

 

 

"Hey, this cruise is not yours so why are you acting like you own this place and how can you treat other customer on the cruise like that," Edward couldn't help but said.

 

 

"Edward, don't say anything if you know nothing," Adam immediately warned him but Edward was like a newborn calf unafraid of anything.

 

 

"Well, since that was the case, I will go meet the owner of this cruise and ask him what to do. I don't think this man is supposed to be here," Jason relented since there were many eyes looking at him.

 

 

The Zhangs remained quiet the whole time.

 

When he wanted to walk away with Zheng Roufeng, Gu Xihuai blocked their way which caused Jason to feel annoyed, "Can you step aside, please?"

 

 

"Sinian, can you have a good talk with your father," Gu Xihuai said with a hint of helplessness and regret on his expression.

 

 

His life had been really bad these past few days. When in jail, he couldn't even sleep peacefully since the inmates kept on making things hard on him and when he was out, his family didn't want to talk to him and his father wanted to just let him rot in jail.

 

 

Seeing that no one was responding to him, Gu Xihuai said in a low voice, "Sorry, I was the one to blame for the suffering of your mother and son before. I regret it so much. I hope you can give me a chance to redeem myself. As long as you forgive me, I can do anything."

 

 

 

His words sound sincere and with his haggard face, he looked like he had really been blaming himself and was suffering.

 

 

The people there all knew the inside story of what happened except for Edward thus he righteously said, "Brother Roufeng, let's just forget old grievances and start anew. Uncle looked like he had reflect himself."

 

 

"Edward Gerald, don't get involved. Let's go back to your room," Adam immediately dragged his younger brother away and the Gerald couple had no reason to stay so they followed their children to leave.

 

 

Currently, there were the two Zhang siblings, Gu Xin, Jessica, Jason and Zheng Roufeng watching Gu Xihuai's teary drama.

 

 

Unfortunately for him, all these people, none of them pity him, even in the slightest.

 

 

Gu Xihuai looked at Zheng Roufeng's clenched fist and prepared himself to be beaten up.

 

 

"I really regret not seeing your mother for the last time before she died. You must have a hard time living alone so I will make it up for you."

 

 

Zheng Roufeng frowned, his jaw tightened and he could feel his nails started to dig into the flesh of his palms. He had imagined thousands of time on how to make this man suffered and he got one answer every single time, don't let him die an easy death. Make him stay alive as long as possible that he longed for death to come.

 

 

"I will tell your grandpa to make you the heir of the Gu family. He is already very happy to have such an outstanding grandson. Compared to you, Gu JinYang is obviously inferior. You definitely can take over the Gu family. Father will help you."

 

 

Zheng Roufeng couldn't help but laugh when he heard of such absurdity. 

 

 

 

 

However, just as he wanted to raise his hand, another hand immediately hold it tight, not letting it go.

 

 

Jason didn't say anything but he out of know where do a high kick and kicked Gu Xihuai's chin, causing the obese man with a beer belly to stumble backward and fall on his ass.

 

 

No one expected such a thing to happen.

 

 

"We didn't bother you so why are you so eager coming here? Come on fight back. Show me how manly you're to beat your own wife and son back then. Let see who is breaking whose bones first."

 

 

Even the person who looked like an assistant who wanted to help Gu Xihuai was frightened when he saw Jason's furious face and he stepped back to the sideline, letting Gu Xihuai still on the floor.

 

 

Zheng Roufeng who previously felt terrible and even thought of killing Gu Xihuai calmed down almost instantly especially when he saw his husband wanting to find justice for him and his mother.

 

 

"Darling, don't touch such a dirty thing. You need to disinfect your shoe later. You don't need to bother with such trash."

 

 

Seeing that Zheng Roufeng didn't want to deal with Gu Xihuai any longer, Jason relented but that didn't mean he would let Gu Xihuai be.
