At some sort of unknown space, one could see a person with long white hair and glowing green eyes, looking at something, it looked like he was watching through some sort of energy orb?. he looked at it and smiled

"What are you doing?"

As the man looked behind him, he could see a woman with light green hair and eyes could be seen with a curious look, for some reason her head was surrounded by some sort of greyish diamond looking pattern, as it depicting some sort of crown.

"Just looking at them"

"Mind if I join?"

The man said nothing and simply nodded, the woman then sat beside her and rested her head in his shoulders, the man then placed his hands on her hair, caressing it, the woman didn't react, as if it was something that happens all the time, she continued looking at the orb with him.

"How's Shiro doing?"

"Chilling with them"

"I see.. , can't you bring her here?"

"I don't wanna break her., you wanna visit her?"

The woman nodded, the man then dissipated the orb, he cracked the surrounding space, forming a crack that was big enough to fit a human, the woman then smiled and bowed as she left through the crack, the second she pass through it, it disappeared instantly, as if the crack was never there, as if it never existed. 

"Now.. I wonder what is he doing?"

 

"ALFA"

"HERE"

"BETA"

"HERE"

"DELTA"

"HERE"

[Isn't this just gonna let them know where we are.... ,  what is she even planning to do...]

We were split into 3 groups, 31 student's at Alfa and Beta, and 8 at Delta, most of the awakened were placed at Delta which some students thought were unfair, but they followed anyways, they believed that Miss Rosa would protect them all.

[So I'm with Beta eh.. this reminds me of 10th grade.. , I guess Delta's probably gonna be the one exploring, while Alfa and Beta are probably gonna take turns checking the perimeters. but then again it's quite balance, 4 awakened stay, while the other 8 would follow her exploring the area, who knows eh? We might get lucky and kill the boss fast enough]

"We'll return in a few hours, until then the teachers and awakened will be in charge, unless you wanna die at least"

With her words and face looking extremely serious, a few students gulped unconsciously, One wrong move, and they're all dead, most of the students decided to put complete trust on her words, with that she left with the 8 students. and now it was just the 4 awakened and the other teachers. 

[Hmm , let's see, so it's Claire, Cathy, Jack and... Theresa, a Musicart , an Elf, a Fire elemental and a Dryad ]

"Can't you make the fire larger? I'm freezing"

 "Miss told me to save my energy."

"Oh C'mon, it's not like anything's gonna attack us"

"No."

"Cih , no funnn"

Ahau was trying to lighten the mood by looking calm and playful, although deep down his quite anxious, but people need to be calmed or chaos might ensue, he did a good job at keeping the Morales high.

"Hey what should we do?"

"Take a rest I guess-? so you can be prepared for your night shifts later on"

Mr. Mike said hesitantly, although what he said make sense, the way he said it made it obvious that he was scared shitless, most of the girls looked at him with pity, while some boys sat next to him and were trying to comfort him , the students who were free right now would be the one on guard later on, so it was a good idea to rest first.

[Since I'm not on duty right, might as well read a book]

"Tess"

I said with a flat tone, Theresa was surprised with her name getting called like that, she then looked at my direction wondering what would make me call her name

"Borrow" 

I said while lifting  my hand, showing one of her novels, it was titled "Selene" made by "Terye Life", as she looked at me, her eyes looked relieved, she then said

"Give it back to me later, ok?"

"Kk" 

I said, and with that I went inside the camp, it's not the best place, but it was way better then outside where it was crowded and snowy, the snow might damage the paper after all, inside the camp there were a few people in there, there were a group of girls and boys that looked extremely stressed, it looked like they were extremely traumatize with the experience

[It's their problem, it's not like it's my problem] 

As I sat down at a corner, I opened the novel and began reading it for a while

[It's not even that fun... Better then nothing though I guess]

I then continued to read , it got boring soon, I was tired and closed my eyes, and when I opened my eyes, I could here laughter everywhere, it was, when I was still an elementary school student

"Your weird"

"C'mon guys let's play Lego!"

"Yeah!!!"

"Can I join-?"

"NO!, this is our Lego"

"Go away Weirdo, no one wants to play with you"

[Ah. this memory again... if I could change the past, would things be different-?]

The "me" in there walked away and just sat at my table, "I" took a random note book, and started to draw scribbles, "I"  looked like I was holding my tears

[Can I really even blame them... we were still kids at the time]

"OI, GIMME THAT"

"My" notebook was taken right out of my hands, I looked behind and a familiar face appeared

[Darren..]

"Gimme back my notebook"

"I" said while trying to grab my notebook, Darren didn't wanna give me back my notebook, he then opened it

"STOP!"

"Hooooo, what's this.. your drawing? your doing a girl thing!"

"It's not a girl thing.."

"EVERYONE GABY'S DRAWING ,HE'S BEING GIRLY"

"I'M NOT BEING GIRLY"

Laughter could be heard everywhere, "I" was about to cry, when suddenly the bell rang, the teacher entered the classroom, but the laughter soon continued. and the teacher even laughed with them, "I" didn't even care anymore, "I" had enough and just stayed completely quiet.

"Weirdooo"

"Gaby's a weirdoooo"

"G-"

"Gab"

"GAB!"

I opened my eyes, I could see Theresa looking at me with a worried look.

"It's your turn to be on guard"

"Thanks. here's your book, it was interesting"

I went outside camp, the sky hard darkened, and it got even colder, good thing I always bring my jacket with me, or I might catch hypothermia, as I sat outside, I started to check the surroundings, Miss Kiara was back and was roasting a lot of Ice bear meat

"Ah there you are Gab, here"

She said as she handed me a decently huge chunk of meat, I bowed and then sat down, I chewed on the meat and ate it while observing the current situation, it wasn't exactly great after all

"Miss, what do you think is the clearing condition?"

"It's probably killing the boss here"

"How long do you think it'll take?"

"Who knows?, maybe tomorrow, maybe a whole month"

It seems like there was a conversation about how the scouting went, from the way she spoke it seemed like she didn't find the boss monster, if she did, we would've probably gotten out now

"It's fineeee, Miss Kiara's strong, she'll find it in no time"

As everyone was enjoying the food and laughed, I was hoping that it won't take too long, but my guts were telling me it's not gonna be that simple

[This feeling again... Please don't jinx it pleasee]

 

1 Month had passed, we couldn't find the boss monster at all. a few students had died due to the cold and accumulated stress, our food and water supplies are running extremely low, currently the students are splitted into 2 groups, those who are listening to Miss Kiara, and those who thinks that Miss Kiara is doing this on purpose to make everyone indebt to her

Kiara's POV:

[When were Ice bears this intelligent?, there's no way D-rank monsters know the concept of strategy, I'm running low on fuel my self, this isn't good...]

It had been 1 month since they were trapped in the Ruined Gate, it wasn't suppose to be this hard to find the boss monster, yet she couldn't find a single trace of the monsters, the Ice Bear population had also dissipated, it seems like there were no more Ice Bears on the territory

[As far as I know, there's no way the monster population in a gate can decrease, that's impossible, did the ice bears started to avoid us? were my calculations wrong? Maybe my guess was wrong? Maybe I needed to find an artifact to open the gate, ah this is bad, I'm getting delirious..] 

She could feel it, she doesn't have much time left, if she keeps on draining herself like this, she might change back into a regular human during a fight

[It should be fine turning back a bit, there had been no enemy attacks after all]

As she turned herself into a human to rest, her battle instincts flared warning her that a dangerous attack was being launched at her, before she could even transform again, an arrow had pierced her shoulder, she groaned in pain , she did not expect to be attacked right when she was extremely fatigued, as she was trying her best to stay conscious, she could hear the students screaming in terror.
