Three days before the Hydraxen Pandemic, the dimly lit corridors of The Hive echoed with the sound of heavy boots against sterile floors. A disheveled man, clad in an orange prison uniform, became the unwilling focal point of the commotion. Dragged unceremoniously by security personnel, his name whispered in hushed tones—John Mallory, the Butcher.

The escorting officer sneered as he handed over custody. "Here's the Butcher. Glad you guys can take care of him. Pieces of shit like him deserve to not see the light of day ever again," he remarked, his disdain evident in every word. The Next Gen Labs officer, unfazed by the moral implications, gestured for guards within The Hive to assume control of John Mallory.

In the merciless transition of custody, the guards handling the Butcher exemplified the harsh treatment awaiting individuals of his caliber. A callous kick here, a brutal elbow there—the physical brutality mirrored the dark deeds for which he was condemned. Grunts of pain emanated from John as he was forcibly dragged deeper into the labyrinthine depths of The Hive.

As John Mallory, the Butcher, disappeared into the shadows of The Hive, a sense of foreboding lingered. Little did he know that within those ominous walls, he would become the unwitting harbinger of a catastrophic event—the genesis of the Hydraxen Pandemic.

Within the confines of the sterile, cold room, the guards exited, leaving behind a chilling silence. The atmosphere shifted as a scientist and his assistant stepped into the chamber, bringing with them an air of calculated efficiency.

"Doctor Weissman, we are ready to begin," the assistant declared, prompting Sebastian to shift his attention to the restrained figure before him.

Sebastian's gaze met John Mallory's, and he spoke with clinical detachment, "Test Subject number 0445. Subject has brain tumors and cancer of the brain—a grim fate that might have garnered sympathy if you weren't a murderer." John's stoic response offered no reprieve from the impending experiment.

"Now, Mr. Mallory, congratulations. You are about to become the pioneer in the cure for cancer—a pioneer in the truest sense," Sebastian continued, his words devoid of empathy. In his hands, he held a vial containing a violet liquid—the Hydraxen virus.

"This is Hydraxen, a virus specifically engineered to cure cancer. It functions by killing cancer cells indiscriminately, strengthening the host to ensure survival while the Hydraxen eradicates cancer from the body," Sebastian explained, clinical precision evident in every word. Ignoring John's struggles, he administered the virus directly.

As the last droplet of the virus left the vial, Sebastian stated matter-of-factly, "And now we monitor." With that, he led his assistant out of the sealed space, leaving John Mallory alone, strapped to the metal bed, an unwitting pioneer in a bold experiment that blurred the lines between salvation and damnation.

Sebastian's instructions echoed in the assistant's ears as he stood watch over the restrained patient. "Monitor the patient. Let me know if something happens. Do not forget to give him the regular nutrient solution; otherwise, he might die," Sebastian's clinical directives left no room for error. The assistant acknowledged, "Yes, Doctor. I'll keep watch."

"If you need me, I'll be by the security room," Sebastian announced before leaving the sealed space.

As John Mallory began experiencing the initial effects of the Hydraxen virus, an unsettling transformation unfolded. Severe headaches and a sickly feeling overwhelmed him, causing incomprehensible muttering and foaming at the mouth.

"Rgghhhhaahdfsfsfdsdhh," John groaned in an attempt to cope with the agony.

The assistant, observing the process, calmly noted, "Transformation is taking place; this is phase 1."

Hours later, John's pain shifted from his head to his entire body, a burning sensation accompanied by an unnerving sense of elongation. Blood trickled as his limbs forcibly stretched, and sharp protrusions pierced through. The assistant, realizing the severity, hastened to inject the nutrient solution into John's torso.

However, the mutation had taken an unexpected turn. John's skeletal structure elongated and contorted beyond measure, showcasing the grotesque impact of the Hydraxen virus on its host. The assistant, panic evident in his expression, urgently contacted Sebastian.

"Doctor Weissman, there have been some changes! The patient has mutated beyond measure. You need to see this—aaah!" The assistant's transmission cut abruptly as John, breaking free from the metal binds, expanded to a towering 8 feet. With a feral hunger, he lunged at the assistant, tearing him apart in a gruesome display, and began the macabre feast that marked the unforeseen consequences of the experiment.

The security room buzzed with a cacophony of equipment, monitors flashing various images and data. Sebastian Weissman, aware of the potential dangers within the Experimental Chamber No. 3, had strategically placed his office right beside the security room, a decision that would soon prove crucial.

As Sebastian went about his tasks, his radio crackled to life with a sense of urgency. The panicked voice of his assistant, Thomas, pierced through, "Doctor Weissman, there have been some changes! The patient has mutated beyond measure. You need to see this—aaah!"

Perplexed, Sebastian responded, "Hello? Thomas, are you still there? What's happening?" The unsettling ambiance was interrupted by disturbing crunching noises, sending shivers down Sebastian's spine. Instinctively, he ran towards the security office.

"Pull up Experimental Chamber No. 3," Sebastian instructed the personnel in the room. The response came with a note of caution, "Doctor, Experimental Chambers are highly restricted in camera operations regarding the recording of experiments."

Sebastian, undeterred, asserted, "I'll take care of it; just pull it up." The security personnel nodded in compliance and brought up the feed. What greeted them was a ghastly tableau—flesh and blood, a grotesque figure, a massive former man now mutated, indulging in a gruesome feast within the confines of the experimental chamber.

The mutated creature, once known as John, became aware of the camera in the experimental chamber. Its split jaws seemed to form a grotesque growl as it locked eyes with the lens. Suddenly, it stood up, exhibiting unnatural strength, and without hesitation, it tore through the steel doors of the chamber. The thin steel, akin to an elevator door, offered little resistance, bending under the force applied by the mutated entity.

Sebastian, witnessing the alarming development on the security monitors, immediately took action. He hit the alarm, triggering a warning throughout the entire facility, "All Security Personnel, there has been a Biohazard breach. Test Subject Number 0445, now designated as Patient Zero, has escaped from Experimental Room No. 3. The target exhibits enhanced strength and speed. Prepare accordingly."

As Sebastian issued the alert, the security room was swiftly evacuated, and Bio-Hazard Protocols were initiated, sealing the room with Sebastian safely inside. The reinforced measures aimed to contain the potential threat and prevent the mutated Patient Zero from wreaking havoc within the Hive.

As the alarm blared, the security room was quickly evacuated, sealing itself in adherence to biohazard protocols. Patient Zero, now an Alpha Volatile, tore through the steel doors, greeted by gunfire from the security personnel. Bullets pierced its flesh, tearing pieces away, but the creature only seemed to grow angrier. It lunged at the security personnel, tearing them apart, and in the process, it evolved visibly it's size growing. Gunshot wounds healed, its frame became sturdier, rendering it resilient to bullets.

Sebastian, observing the horrors through the security room, couldn't help but acknowledge the perfect compatibility between Patient Zero and the Hydraxen virus. The creature's ability to evolve raised a chilling question: Were they now facing an insurmountable threat that would doom the entire Hive? While Sebastian pondered the potential demise of the facility, Patient Zero continued its rampage, leaving a trail of blood and guts in the once-sterile corridors of the Hive.

In the aftermath of his gruesome feast, Patient Zero felt an instinctual urge, a desire to do something unique that would further enhance his strength. Guided by this newfound instinct, he approached one of the largest rooms in the Hive, a circular dome designed for storing and pitting future experiments against each other. However, Patient Zero had different plans for this space now.

Slaughtering any remaining inhabitants in the hive, Patient Zero collected all the bio-matter in the room. The once-sterile environment was now transformed into a grotesque nest, filled with blood, flesh, bones, and various body parts. Amidst this macabre collection, Patient Zero grabbed a surviving inmate, biting into his neck and taking a small chunk before tossing him onto the grotesque nest below.

Patient Zero returned hours later, accompanied by three more victims. To his surprise, the first inmate he had bitten showed signs of transformation. Gurgling sounds emanated from the cocoon-like structure forming around him, connected by pieces of flesh. A Volatile Nest had taken shape, a manifestation of Patient Zero's evolving power. The room, once a site for controlled experiments, now served as a breeding ground for the twisted offspring of the Hydraxen virus, a testament to Patient Zero's growing dominance within the Hive.

Within a day, Patient Zero had ruthlessly eradicated any resistance within the hive. The once-sterile corridors were now stained with blood, and the air was thick with the stench of death. Sebastian, hidden in the security room, remained the last bastion of hope within the crumbling facility.

The security room, fortified with steel doors designed to withstand bombs, provided a temporary sanctuary for Sebastian. The narrow corridors leading to the security room were equipped with miniature turrets, formidable defenses that would have deterred most intruders. However, Patient Zero, driven solely by the scent of the living, paid no attention to this area. His focus was on the presence of life, and as a result, the security measures went untouched—an inadvertent decision that ultimately saved Sebastian's life.

As hours passed, the hive transformed into a nightmarish landscape. The remaining corridors were now filled with the wails and groans of the infected, those unfortunate souls whom Patient Zero had chosen not to consume. The once-controlled environment had descended into chaos.

On the third day since Patient Zero's emergence, the nest within the hive had already spawned 40 Volatiles. Patient Zero, maintaining a semblance of intelligence despite the hunger-induced haze, realized that he could communicate with these newly transformed creatures mentally. Commanding the first Volatile to follow him, Patient Zero led a growing horde through the labyrinthine corridors of the hive.

The screams of survivors echoed sporadically within the hive, a haunting symphony of desperation. On a fateful night, Patient Zero, driven by a primal instinct and a hunger for flesh, managed to navigate the maze of the hive and discover the exit leading back to the surface.

With a twisted intelligence guiding him, Patient Zero strategically shut down the power throughout the hive, activating the emergency protocols. As a result, all entrances to the surface opened, unleashing the volatile contagion upon the unsuspecting city of Los Angeles late at night. The once-controlled experiment had now transformed the entire metropolis into Ground Zero of the Hydraxen Pandemic.

The city became Ground Zero for an unprecedented viral outbreak, and the rest, as they say, was history.

A Few Months later of the Hydraxen Pandemic, chaos reigned across the world, with cities falling one after another to Patient Zero's legions of infected. The Siege of Kansas City unfolded as Patient Zero, now evolved into a Tyrant Volatile, strategically led his forces to breach the city's defenses. However, upon occupying the city, he sensed an unusual absence of civilians, an ominous void that signaled impending danger.

Patient Zero, displaying a cunning intelligence, decided to withdraw his main forces, leaving behind an Alpha Volatile to oversee the conquered territory. Retreating to the State University of Kansas, he positioned himself a safe distance away from Kansas City. As Patient Zero surveyed the horizon, he detected an unfamiliar threat emanating from above. Within minutes, a mushroom cloud rose, signifying the human's desperate move to eradicate the infection by nuking their own city.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Patient Zero comprehended the destructive power of a nuclear strike. Witnessing the devastation, he recognized that the humans were willing to sacrifice entire cities to halt the spread of the Hydraxen Virus. Undeterred, Patient Zero decided to return to the epicenter of the outbreak, Los Angeles, anticipating that the city would now be filled with special infected, providing an opportunity to replenish his dwindling forces.

Unbeknownst to Patient Zero, his decision to return to Los Angeles marked the beginning of a fateful encounter with Umbrella Corporation. Little did he foresee that this choice would set the stage for a series of conflicts and ultimately lead to his first of many defeats at the hands of the powerful and enigmatic corporation.
