In the aftermath of the deafening explosion, a scene of chaos emerged within the abandoned warehouse. The once-sturdy structure now lay in ruins, a tangled mess of twisted metal, shattered debris and what seemed to be old electronics and cameras.

Smoke curled through the air, its acrid scent permeating the atmosphere as it mingled with the dust-filled haze. The aftermath was a haunting tableau, a testament to the sheer force of the blast that had ripped through the desolate space.

Amidst the wreckage, uncertainty hung like a heavy fog. Wukong's senses were overwhelmed as he surveyed the scene. The ringing of his ears, the intoxicating scent of the smoke, the mist that attacked his eyes with specks of dust and the slight vibrating in his hands and legs due to the pressure of the explosion, proved too much for him as he constantly wobbled while trying to stand up, dizziness and nausea taking control of his mind.

He hid under his Ruyi which he had expanded amid chaos. It had saved his life and prevented him from being fried and crushed by the bomb.

"Lorna!"  Yelled Wukong as he finally gained a small bearing of his surroundings and started to walk.

The fate of his partner remained unknown, the truth obscured by the destruction that surrounded him. The sound of his own breathing seemed magnified in the silence until he started to hear the falling of rubble and the screeching of two metals scratching into each other.

As he looked at the source of the sound, he was met with multiple pieces of metal floating in the air as they moved away from a green-haired girl, pressed against a destroyed and crumbled pillar.

"Lorna!" Wukong yelled in relief and slight joy knowing she was okay. He started to make his way to her until he noticed a crimson liquid creating a small pool below Lorna's feet.

Wukong's heart unknowingly started to beat rapidly as the smile on his face switched from joy and relief to nervousness and anticipation.

He slowly started to look up at the girl, following the trail of the substance and noticing her clothes her dripping with it. Until finally he reached her torso and noticed a metal pike that protruded from the pillar behind her, pierced through her abdomen as she breathed weakly.

Wukong stood frozen as he tried to contemplate what was going on in front of him.

"Again." He said with a slight tremble in his voice.

"This can't be happening again?" He said with the same smile plastered on his face as cold sweat dripped from his head.

However, he soon came out of his trance as he slightly jumped at Lorna's coughing of blood as she moved slightly with a weakened body, trying her best to save herself.

Wukong bolted toward her with his staff in hand, knowing she could still be saved. Clutching at his staff, he brought down the weapon onto the metal pike as it snapped off. Holding onto Lorna, he pulled her out of the shortened metal as she winced in pain, not strong enough to scream.

"Hey, Lorna! Look at me!" He said as he held her head, her eyes slightly fading away and her eyelids starting to shut. The hole in her abdomen gushed with blood as he tried his best to stop it.

"Hey! No no no no! Nimbus!" He yelled as the cloud appeared from the sky. After placing her on the cloud and getting on himself, the cloud left the warehouse as it slightly held onto Lorna.

"Nimbus, take us to Manhattan, New York. Full speed." He said as he held onto the Nimbus and the Nimbus did the same for both of them. With a blurring ZOOM, they left without a trace.

A dark-skinned female with dark hair and expressive facial features that depicted a mix of empathy, intelligence, and determination walked through a neighbourhood at night after finishing her shift at the hospital working as a nurse. However, something seemed to be off. Distant screams and sounds of smashing glass echoed through the night.

The area she was walking through had an ominous feeling to it. As if someone should be constantly looking over their shoulder at all times. This was further proven when the female walked through a dark alleyway, only to be stopped by a shady-looking man.

Seeing this, she acted fast as she turned around to escape but was met with another man.

"Where are you going, beautiful? Stay with us for a while." Said the man behind her as he licked his lips. The female darted her eyes between both men as her heart started to beat rapidly.

She slowly reached into her pocket as one of the men grabbed onto her. However, he soon regretted that decision when he was met with a crackling shock that made him seize uncontrollably. Soon after, he dropped onto the ground.

The other man was taken slightly aback until he yelled at the female and attempted to grab her. However, before he could move, a burning liquid was shot into his eyes as he screamed like a lady and held his face.

The female held a Taser and pepper spray in her hand as her hands shook slightly. She quickly jogged away from the downed men until she entered an apartment complex and closed the door.

She breathed rapidly as she tried to calm herself down. After a minute of silence, she finally picked herself up and started to walk up the stairs of the building, her legs shaking slightly. She soon came to a door labelled '69' as she opened the door with a key and entered.

After placing her belonging on a couch, she walked to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water. She drank it as she thought about what just happened. She was scared, but she handled the situation well due to being experienced with these kinds of problems. These things happened to her way too often. That was most likely due to the people she knew and had connections with.

She stood in the same position for a couple of minutes as she thought about this, taking small sips every now and then. However, she was brought out of her thoughts after hearing clattering and strange sounds as if someone was breaking in. She quickly darted her eyes to where she kept the knives and snatched the biggest one she could find as she made her way to the source of the noise.

She walked slowly as she made her way to the living room. Before she entered, she caught a glimpse of the curtains fluttering at the winds that came through the fully opened window. Her heart started to beat as she slowly peeked around the corner, only to be met with a boy with freckles and black hair as he held a green-haired girl in his arms, both of them bathed in blood, filth and dirt.

"Claire Temple." Said the boy as he stared at her.

"My friend needs your help." He said as he stared at her with sharp eyes.

"Who are you?" Asked the female, whose name seemed to be Claire.

"There's no time. I promise I'll explain everything, but right now my friend is hurt and you're the only one that can help her." Claire stared at the boy with a look of indecision. In her life, she's learned that not everyone is to be trusted so easily. However, she couldn't ignore a dying person in front of her knowing she can help.

"Place her on the couch and put pressure on the wound, I'll be right back." She said, leaving to grab her equipment.

Wukong gently placed her on the couch and grabbed whatever piece of clothing he could find to press against the injury.

Claire reentered the room with a first aid kit and alcohol. She quickly unzipped the bag after putting on some gloves and ripping a piece of paper containing sterilize cleaning wipes. She lifted Lorna's shirt slightly and looked at the wound, wincing slightly at the gruesome scene. However, she was used to this as evidenced by her quick hands and level head.

She quickly cleaned the wound and doused some alcohol on it. She then started to irrigate it to remove all debris and foreign objects before covering the injury with a sterile dressing. Wukong stared at her through the process, not saying anything as he didn't want to disturb her.

The whole process took about an hour. After she was done, Wukong looked at Lorna.

"Is she going to be okay?"

"Hopefully. Fortunately, the injury didn't damage any internal organs. But I'd have to watch her overnight to tell for sure." She said as she stood up and took a deep breath.

After a few seconds, Wukong stood up as he picked up his staff and started to walk to the window.

"Where are you going?" Asked Claire.

"Please look after her. I'll be back. I have some business to deal with." He said in a voice full of emotion. Sadness, regret, guilt and determination all oozed out of his words. But the most notable was anger.

Wukong jumped out of the window and was caught by his Nimbus. He lifted his head as he looked on with giant veins bulging out, threatening to burst as he gritted his teeth. Amidst all his thoughts, something kept repeating one word in his head.

"Kill."

In the middle of the night, one could see an abandoned warehouse in the middle of nowhere as a young boy with freckles and black hair walked into it. The strange boy held his head down as he walked into the building, not even looking around his surroundings. The Darkness enveloped him as the only sound in the vicinity was his footsteps.

Soon, he came to a stop as one could feel the ominous nature in the area. A bloodlust that lurked deeper in the shadows. One would feel their hair standing up as they would sense multiple eyes glued upon them.

"He actually came." Said an unknown voice.

"I didn't think he would be this stupid." Said another.

All of a sudden, dozens of Centipede soldiers emerged from the shadows as one could see the liquid in their forearms being pumped into their veins. After a few seconds, they made way for two familiar red brothers that towered over everyone.

"Human die tonight." They yelled, remembering their previous encounter.

Before he knew it, Wukong was surrounded by every corner. Centipede soldiers, regular soldiers with rifles and the blood brothers all locked onto their target as if he were their prey.

The soldiers stared at Wukong who showed no movement. As if he didn't know he was about to die with no possibility of escape. However, they didn't mind too much. They just thought he was frozen and had accepted his fate.

"You know, I applaud you. It's not easy to elude Hydra for so long while causing so much ruckus." A man emerged from the army of soldiers accompanied by a man with a suit. Wukong heard this voice and finally raised his head to look into the eyes of Clairvoyant.

Rage started to bubble up inside of him, his hands started to tremble at the sheer thought of this man. Veins bulged from his neck and face as his eyes widened with killing intent.

"Kill."

Clairvoyant was slightly taken aback by the wave of emotion coming out of the young boy. A chill ran down his spine as he involuntarily pictured a predator eyeing him, telling him with their eyes that they were going to be his.

"Kill him."

However, he soon dismissed this thought as he remembered that an army stood behind him.

"You've been looking for me, here I am." He said with a taunting smile.

"My apologies, you haven't been looking for me as much as you've been looking for this." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial with a white substance.

"Say hello to CS2. It's the only vial I've been able to make since the development of it is so expensive and consuming. It took half the supplies we had on hand to make it. But it was worth it." He said as he placed the vial back into his pocket.

However, Wukong didn't care. The small mission he's had all this time and sacrificed his life for suddenly felt meaningless. As he stared at the man, one thought ran through his head.

"Kill."

"Now, if you don't mind, I've got things to do and you've got some dying to do so I won't hold you gentlemen here any longer. Have fun."

Wukong couldn't control himself. He felt foreign feelings amplifying his rage and emotions. And he let it. He didn't try to stop it like before. He embraced this rage, this regret, this wrath…this madness.

Laughter rang in his mind as a familiar voice spoke to him.

"That's right. Clasp at it. Welcome it. Accept it! Because like it or not… IT'S WHO YOU ARE! HAHAHAHA!" Wukong stood silent as he slowly started to lose his mind. For some reason, he felt like everything was becoming darker. He felt his consciousness fading. However, he didn't fall onto the ground like one would expect. Instead, he stood stronger than ever as his mouth started to move until he had finally joined in with the maniacal laughter, his laugh echoing through the night sky.

The surrounding soldiers stayed quiet and watched him as they were taken aback by this sudden outburst, thinking he had gone mad.

Wukong laughed and laughed until finally, he blacked out.

***

As Wukong slowly opened his eyes, he was greeted by a disorienting mix of sensations. The metallic tang of blood coated his tongue, an unsettling taste that sent a shiver down his spine. The right half of his face laid on the cold pavement as it was submerged in a shallow liquid. After taking a look, he found that it was blood, but not his.

He quickly jumped up as he looked for his staff before noticing the whole area he was in was flooded with blood and the insides of people. In front of him laid a person with mangled arms and legs but with no head. Wukong darted his eyes to the side where something caught his eye. A head. The head of Clairvoyant.

Wukong looked around his surrounding expecting to find the person behind this. Instead, he was met with the gruesome scene of the crushed soldiers he was surrounded by, smeared across the ground with multiple internal organs hanging from them.

Wukong stood in the middle of this carnage, unscathed as he breathed quickly, frozen as if he had seen a ghost.

"What the hell happened."
